Rep. Joe Walsh won't apologize for saying "radical Islamists" in U.S. want to kill Americans

Walsh bends over backwards to make the usual assurances that not all Muslims want to kill Americans, but the fact that this is a controversy at all shows the extent to which Islamic supremacist propaganda has made inroads in the public discourse. Would Moon Khan and his allies really have us believe that there are no Muslims in the U.S. who want to kill Americans?

Here we go again. What about Naser Abdo, the would-be second Fort Hood jihad mass murderer; and Khalid Aldawsari, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Lubbock, Texas; and Muhammad Hussain, the would-be jihad bomber in Baltimore; and Mohamed Mohamud, the would-be jihad bomber in Portland; and Faisal Shahzad, the would-be Times Square jihad mass-murderer; and Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Arkansas military recruiting station jihad murderer; and Naveed Haq, the jihad mass murderer at the Jewish Community Center in Seattle; and Mohammed Reza Taheri-Azar, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Ahmed Ferhani and Mohamed Mamdouh, who hatched a jihad plot to blow up a Manhattan synagogue; and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the would-be Christmas airplane jihad bomber; and many others like them who have plotted and/or committed mass murder in the name of Islam and are motivated by its texts and teachings — all in the U.S. in the last couple of years?

Walsh should not apologize for this. He should educate himself and begin to speak even more forthrightly and clearly about the jihad threat.

"Walsh won’t apologize for saying ‘radical Islamists’ in U.S. want to kill Americans," by Bill Bird for the Chicago Sun-Times, August 24 (thanks to Mackie):

U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh remains steadfast in his conviction that “radical Islam” threatens the American way of life — a view the controversial congressman again expressed to an unhappy group of Muslim constituents Friday night.

Moon Khan, a Republican Party precinct committeeman in DuPage County and member of the York Township board of trustees, was one of about 80 people who attended an “intense” meeting with Walsh Friday night in the back yard of Khan’s home in Lombard.

“It was a very, very intense meeting, and he did not change his mind,” Khan later said of Walsh.

The meeting was called after Walsh alleged there is “a radical stream of Islam” in the U.S. that threatens the lives of Americans — including residents of Addison, Elgin and Elk Grove — at a townhall meeting in Elk Grove.

At the meeting Friday night, Khan said members of the local Muslim community “are young, American-born-and-raised individuals who share the American dream of a life of liberty, peace and the pursuit of happiness. They are your teachers, doctors, nurses, engineers, policemen and hard-working Americans that [are] productive members of society ...”

“Your recent speeches have created catalogues of issues for the Muslim community,” Khan told Walsh, according to a transcript of his remarks.

“We want to ask the congressman why he is the only person who sees the ghost of radical Muslims everywhere. Why did not his colleague, Congressman Peter Roskam ... raise such alarm? We did not hear such warnings from U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk, not to mention the Democratic members of Congress. You are running the idea up the flag, and nobody is saluting it.”

“We would also like to know if you found any radical Muslim in this gathering. If yes, please tell us, how did you detect that? Do you have a device like a metal detector that you rotate around and find Muslim radicals?”

Khan said he and others “are here to pick up the stones that have been thrown at us by the congressman, and turn them into the milestones of tolerance.”

Khan later said it appeared Walsh during the meeting “was kind of trying to defend himself about what he has been saying in the media. He was trying to clarify that he is just talking about a tiny, tiny percentage” of people with the “radical Muslim” agenda, Khan said.

“But [Walsh] said that he did not want to apologize ... and just defended himself,” Khan said. “He said he did not want to hurt people and he does not hate the Muslim community, and he was just raising the question.”

Walsh spokeswoman Erin Rapp said Friday night she was sorry Khan felt the way he did.

“The congressman is glad he brought everyone together, but he has nothing to apologize for,” Rapp said. “He implores all Muslim Americans to condemn radical Islam.”

Walsh also issued a prepared statement, in which he said he “thought it was important for me to reach out and meet with concerned Muslim Americans in my district to discuss the threat that the radical strain of Islam poses to all of us ...”

“While this issue brings heated emotions from both sides, I was happy to hear their thoughts and concerns,” Walsh said. “It affirmed my belief that the vast — vast — majority of American Muslims are peace-loving, patriotic citizens.

“However, there is still a radical strain of Islam within our country, Attorney General Eric Holder has said it, [Homeland Security Director] Janet Napolitano has said it, and I will not back down, and will continue to say that it is a major threat to our safety and security.

“Thus, after tonight’s meeting, I stand by my original statement that while the overwhelming majority of Muslim Americans are as peace-loving as everyone else, there are radical Islamists right here in the United States trying to kill Americans and destroy this country.”

"...there are radical Islamists right here in the United States trying to kill Americans and destroy this country...”

...following a well-organized pincer movement strategy: http://crombouke.blogspot.com/2011/03/organization-of-islamic-conference-oic.html

Let me repeat - the preferred term should be "devout" or "orthodox" Islam.

All Muslims may not be active jihadists, but all Muslims do attend mosques where it is preached that the Qur'an, with all of its exhortations to jihad violence, is the eternal, inviolate word of Allah and that Muhammad, with his record of jihad plundering, kidnapping, mass murders and assassinations, is the perfect man whose example all good believers must follow.

Or literalists!

Every Muslim in that room knows what Qur'an tells them to do, which includes things that are antithetical to democracy, human rights, individual rights, and are incompatible with the U.S. Constitution (amputations, Islamic supremacism, favorable treatment of Muslims over others, men over women, etc.).

That they have each personally decided to NOT comply, is what needs to be stressed in such meetings.

In that, Walsh--and so many others--have failed.

IMO

Evidence on intelligent life ... nay, even integrity, in the US congress.

Who knew?

I'm confused. Would it have been better if Rep. Joe Walsh said "moderate" islamists want to kill Americans?

There is a reason that words have been created to convey meaning and intent. The human race has muddled along reasonably well with the spoken and written word, despite its limitations.

And yet, after all this, muslims continue to claim theirs is a "religion" of peace, when they use violence as a means to and end. They claim Mohammad as a "perfect" man, yet he was a sexual predator who preyed on prepubscent girls.

(Is Rep. Joe Walsh one of the few people in Congress who remembers what happened on 9/11?)

The use of violence in Islam is to bring about the Shari'a.

But because a Muslim - envisions Shari'a doesn't mean that that person is willing to resort to violence.

One can go to their Congressman now!

But no matter how many racist-type names you call those who oppose it - the stumbling block for Muslims in America - seeing Shari'a based laws - is the US Constitution.

However to establish an Islamic state - violence is permissible in Islam - hence you will likely have members of the Muslim community in preparation for such a battle.

Look at the violence in the Islamic world - it is often directed at non-Muslims or Muslims who they think should be following the law - as it is laid down in the Koran/Islamic Holy Books.

That is a pattern of behavior that can't be ignored.

Oh dear, the amount of hurt sensibilities.
First you have to explain that resisting Jihad and the more obnoxious aspects of Islam is not the same thing as hating Muslims, however much they'd prefer to think so.
And then there's the "context" accusation, the details of which is hardly ever explained.
And after that you have to tell them kindly that abuse is not part of a civilized discussion.
After they explain that they are offended too and we are back where we began.

It is very tiresome.

or,if "radical Islamists" offends, and "devout" and "orthodox" doesn't please, then, perhaps: THERE ARE MUSLIMS - WHO FOLLOW THE KORAN TO THE LETTER - living in the United States who wish to kill Americans

they follow it without divergence because they are convinced that the Allah god (unknowable, as imagined) will be pleased with the shedding of MORE American blood

Here's a second for Walsh to educate himself on Islam 101.

Just knowing the basic tenets of Islam would equip Walsh and anyone else with sufficient knowledge that they would no longer be playing defense.

Muslim designs on the world, piece by piece, just isn't that hard to understands.

“These future United States presidents [Adams, Jefferson] questioned the ambassador as to why his (Islamic) government was so hostile to the new American republic even though America had done nothing to provoke any such animosity. Ambassador Adja answered them, as they reported to the Continental Congress, ‘that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise’.”.
–Thomas Jefferson reporting to the Continental Congress about the brutal pirate attacks of the Muslim Ottoman Barbary (1801–1805 and 1815)

Interesting that Khan uses the term, 'milestones of tolerance' as if the US was actually basically horrendously intolerant and that only by the measurement of those metaphoric stones will we see tolerance emerge?

Then again the grandaddy of the Islamic Revival, Sayd Qutb's seminal book is called 'Milestones'. Freudian slip, perchance?

Amongst others, here's what Google came up with...

http://gemsofislamism.tripod.com/milestones_qutb.html

And another...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sayyid_Qutb

(Both links, by the way are classic textbook tomes, more or less encompassing the whole thing and well worth reading.)

Qutb is the man who in his paroxisms of rage against modernity and jahilaya denounced the US as a nest of lewdity and after visiting a local hop in Fifties Greeley, Colorado talked of lascivious lips, bulging breasts and tempting thighs as if he was locked within the gates of some pornographic hell.

Remember this was the Fifties America of Doris Day, Perry Como, Pat Boone, John Wayne and all the rest of that throbbing decadence nestling behind the tickety-boo picket fences just waiting to entrap a poor Muslim boy.

(Martin Amis's dry pungency in his book of short stories, The Third Plane describes Qutb's ordeal brilliantly).

We hear so much of 'hate' from the Muslim quarter that it has become a grim joke.

Here's a lesson in real hate from Islam's premier holy man.

http://www.smithsonianmag.com/history-archaeology/presence-feb06.html

Enough of this fighting from the defensive position, we must start putting the defenders of the islamic ideology on the defensive -

- ask them why they are fluffing the skirts of religion around an ideology based on apartheid, based on human chattel slavery as a valid economic activity, based on women as breeding and fornicating beasts in a man's personal bordello.

- keep on asking them why they are so desperate to fluff the skirts of religion around a political ideology to protect it from critical analysis

- instead of the usual "not all muslims blah blah blah....", ask these muslims if they support apartheid, if they support human chattel slavery, if they support women corralled in degradation and subservience AND IF THEY DO NOT, then how do they continue to label themselves as supporters of the islamic ideology, why do they label themselves as muslim AND IF THEY DO then we have every right to stop them implementing their ideology

There are enough examples both present and from history of the islamic ideology's contempt for the inherent dignity of the human person.

Robert, start using the "fluffing the skirts of religion" meme, you have a megaphone, it will be picked up. They will have to go on the defensive, and we can go on the offensive.

If Walsh could get his shoes out of his mouth long enough, he could challenge things like this:

http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local&id=8786097

"Our religion IS peace, and I was very, very hurt by that statement, very hurt" said Sameena Parveen. (01:12)

My mistake. Amis's book was actually The Second Plane.

A great read by the way.

what radical strain of Islam?? The whole strain of Islam is radical! The huffing and puffing by all these Muslims is phony. They just don't want anybody to the truth about Islam and that is why we see all these songs and dance by the Muslim organizations.

Kudos to Rep. Walsh who is showing some backbone and telling the Muslim organizations to take a hike. Wish all these congressmen and senators had integrity and honest and backbone to face the truth about Muslims and Islam!!

Representative Joe Walsh needs are support in anyway possible, how can he back down from the facts, from the truth that plays out across our planet every hour of the day.

Of course anyone who has taken a little time to read up on what Islam commands of its followers will find Rep.Joe Walsh's comments to be fully factual and truthful.

In reality it is not even radical Islam it is just Islam. There maybe Muslims who do not follow these archaic teachings in the Qu'ran but the solid fact remains that Allah has always prescribed either jihad or subjugation for the infidel for nearly 1,400 years.

The teachings in the Qu'ran are considered pure for all time and cannot be changed or abrogated no matter how archaic. Anyone who tries to change anything written in the Islamic trilogy can be branded a blasphemer and marked for death--it happens everyday in the Islamic World.

I think Rep Walsh is to be applauded for not apologizing where none is necessary--it's just the truth, after all. But...if anyone dares speak up about this, the muslim goon squads will be all over him like a cheap suit. Rather than being painted into a corner, he needs to come charging out of his corner, forcing the taqiyya-monsters to stay on-topic and asking some penetrating questions. There's more than enough evidence that this problem exists--and then there's holding the goons' feet to the Koran, chapter & verse, in public view. Don't stop now, congressman, don't let them beat you up. You have the truth--THEY'RE the ones with some 'splainin' to do, not you. There's the bell for round 2--come out swinging!

OT:

The world has lost a giant.

Neil Armstrong died today at the age of 82.

The eagle has landed for the last time.

Hi I_C,

I just saw that, too and it makes me sad. What a great man! Shepard, Glenn, Armstrong, Aldrin, Lovell--all those guys--American heroes!

Do you recall that business that Neil "heard the islamic call to prayer on the moon," & became a muslim? Shameless muslim nonsense!

Hope all is well with you!

G

Maybe you can send some of the email threats you have rec'd to Rep Walsh and he can show them to some of the "moderate" muslims next time he speaks with them.

Greetings, George.

Always good to hear from you.

Yes, I've read that canard many times. It's repeated over and over ad nauseum despite Armstrong's strong denial of such. It ranks right up there with the Cousteau being a muslim despite his family and estate suing any public entity that makes that fallacious claim.

Found out a new one. Seem the "Ahmed Ali" translation of mein kuranmpf contains this foot note to "justify" the laughable ayat about allah making mountans like tent pegs to steady the ground:

“Stabilisers, rawasi, are actually mountains in the interior of the earth made evident by modern geophysicists who mapped the earth’s interior. At some places they are 6 miles high and 6000 miles wide with a valley as deep and wide, situated between the liquid core and the crust of the earth. Their function is to stabilize the crust and rotation of the earth…This description would apply to underground ‘stabilisers’ when used with ‘so that while it revolves you live undisturbed,’ as here and in 21:31, 3:10, and also 77:27. In 13:3, 15:19, 27:61, 50:7 on the other hand, it has been used for mountains as stabilizers.”

This particular muslim obfuscator credits this "modern scientific discovery" to the May 1987 Reader's Digest. It should be noted that muslim supremacists provide as proof of their mantra "islam is fastest growing religon" to a 1983 Reader's Digest Almanac. I would suspect Reader's Digest of being decades old dhimmis except that the article about islam's growth does show it to be growing: through third world birth rates. I am now endeavoring to get my hands on a copy of the 1987 edition to see what the article really says.

Of course, no amount of searching can produce any sonograms, sonographs, or even artist's renditions of these alleged mountains and valleys.

muslim supremacists will tell any tall tales to legitimize their bronze age arab-tribalism cult.

No, Armstrong was not a muslim, did not admire islam. islam has never and will never produce the quality and caliber of men and women, like Armstrong, that Western civilization has. It must be repeatedly pointed out that the ONE muslim supremacist that has gone to space on the coattails of the kaffirs was not worried about scientific discoveries or even adventure. He was more concerned with which direction to point his loathsome arse in space while getting there only through the brilliance and efforts of the kaffirs.

Sorry for the tangent. My knickers are in a wad. I thought my neck of the woods was a muslim safe zone. Not so. Spotted two witches in slave rags at the local big box yesterday. I'm twitterpated because now I must learn to place "nice" and diplomatic so I can be an influential voice at the inevitable zoning meetings for the "islamic cultural center" that we all know is coming.

I_C,

That's a new one on me, too--allah's earth crust-supporting structural beams? Right! Of course we know that muslims have invented pretty much everything--they're so technologically oriented, so forward-thinking, so civilized...

This summer for the first time, I've seen muslimahs at my local King Soopers here--on more than one occasion. It just pisses me off. Of course I won't speak to them, but if they see me...they're left in no doubt of my utter contempt for them--no words required--and that goes for the men, too. I'm afraid this would be a ripe place for an "islamic community cneter" (we know what that means, don't we?). I swear, if it ever happens, I'm opening a hot dog stand next door to it!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When I was a precinct committeeman on our Republican Executive Committee, we tried to keep Republicans ("RINOs") who were pro-abortion off the Committee. I guess we were intolerant-bigots but that was before the 9/11 Muslim attacks on America. How much more should Republicans fight to keep Islamic supremacists out of policy-making positions? Romney's people in Tampa, last week, fought for a plank in our national party platform that endorsed a Muslim-enemy state in Israel's heartland. Should this be a great surprise? Do Islamic supremacists and / or their sympathizers have the ear of Romney or his advisers?

Here: The Broward County Republican Party blocked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Florida spokesperson Nezar Hamze from joining its executive board last night, a decision that some see as a sign of anti-Muslim discrimination....

is there an ACT for America chapter in your neighbourhood? If there isn't, are there at least two or three people who share your views on the Death Cult? And if so, then maybe your best bet is to get in touch with ACT for America and start up a local chapter; then you will be prepared, like a good Scout, when and if the Mohammedan recon group makes its next move.

George

you said

"This summer for the first time, I've seen muslimahs at my local King Soopers here--on more than one occasion...".

Like I just said to Istanbul Chick: do you have a local chapter of ACT for America? If you haven't, and if there are two or three or four other people in your social circle, that you know of, who are Islamosavvy like you: looks like it's time to *start* a local chapter. And plan for the worst-case scenario.

(I'm an Aussie; in my case, I've joined Q Society).

Government treason supports corporate multi-cultural connivance.

Without actually knowing anything about islam, most of “our government” bureaucratic gangsters will attempt to pre-emptively slander those who do know about it. This is a simple, obvious case of cowardly treasonous criminal negligence, when a group (say, islam) declares “War!” for “our leaders” to declare “No, they didn’t!” Such a stance also indicates an immediate abdication of their rights to maintain and enjoy their positions over us, as they ignore their commensurate responsibility to protect us.

Islam’s own most official instruction manual, the Qur’an, declares islam was created by “god” to violently destroy and replace all “other” religions and cultures in the world. The subsequent actions of their followers confirm this.

Further, they have declared it their “right” to murder anyone who even verbally declares their defensive opposition to the moslem’s attacks, in declaring it “blasphemy” to resist their extortions.

Multiculturalism is a lie being pushed on us by business interests which seek to save money on their labor costs by replacing us with cheap slave labor from their third-world slave-pens. They know non-Whites vastly outnumber Whites globally, yet therefore seek to guilt us into seeking our own demise through the mental inversion of pretending we must accept their slaves because they are all only a helpless minority of refugees, and so it would be inhumanly mean of us to do otherwise. It’s a corporate, crime-selling corruption scheme to buy-us-low to sell themselves high; extortion on a global scale.

After all, multi-culturalism IS racism!

For instance, ALL the so-called islamic countries are at the exact BOTTOM of all the developmental indexes.

So, there’s only two possible explanations for this: it’s either nurture (‘culture’), or nature (genetics/’race’).

Yet the shallow liberals prefer to pretend that all indoctrinating cultures are equal, and so they all have the exact same effects on their respective populaces. Which leaves only race.

Then they further clinch their own prejudices, by blaming only the White, Western folks for “propping up” all the non-White genocidal dictators in the world (as if only White Westerners were INTELLIGENT enough to manipulate the poor innocent but mentally inferior savages) and as if, without Whites, there would be no non-White dictatorial madmen in the world.

But history and current events prove that all races ARE the same, and so of course the vast majority of dictatorial madmen in the world have been non-Whites (Muhammad, Ghenghis Khan, Attilla, Mao, Pol Pot, Taylor and Kony, Bobby Mugabe) – because their races outnumber Whites in exact proportion to their respective numbers of dictators, which (in all reality, and despite the liberals racism,) only leaves nurture or “culture” to explain islam’s failures.

And it’s quite simple, really: our “Western culture” is based on Confucius’ (wholly Eastern,) Chinese morality, on the Golden Rule of Law (basically: Do Not Attack First! and on “THOU SHALT NOT KILL!”) and so we enjoy trust, progress and civilization.

Islam, however, is based on the exact opposite – on the immoral, brazen rule of chaos, (basically: “It’s our holy right and duty to always attack all ‘the others’ first!” and on “THOU SHALT KILL!”) and so they suffer from distrust, stagnation, and barbarism.

;-)

Its quite simple: the majority of Muslims either dislike or hate the West.

Its no secret; they (including all so-called 'moderate' Muslims) prove it every single fucking day. Whether its passive, slimily-concealed hatred (the most common) or out-and-out honest hatred.

Fuck Political Correctness. I vomit on it. Then shit on it. Then poke it with a splintered stick.

Yes!

Bend over backwards to please the Muslims and their concealed and not so concealed desire to institute the joys of Islamic Sharia law!

Yes!

That'll work out just fine!!

Its disgusting how they carry on this "Radical Islam" and "The vast, vast majority of Muslims are peaceful and patriotic" bollocks.

Just cos the majority are not willing to kill, it doesn't mean they're not anti-host nation, traitorous, foreign, anti-England, anti-American, anti-White, pro-Jihad and pro fucking Sharia law.

Scrap that.

The majority of Muslims ARE willing to kill those who oppose Islamism.

Caught a spot of Political Correctness there for a minute.

There 'ya go!

And hope you're feeling better.

Moon Klan? What a name - sounds like a cross b/w Islam & the KKK

I've complained about what happens when I use the print function here on Jihad Watch and end up with gobbledeegook:

small children approaching. They thanked their mothers and promised “not to deviate from the path of jihad and resistance, despite all cost and difficulties.”

Below is the link to a website that has the perfect example of how to print articles. Maybe Jihad Watch can borrow from them.

RE: “Your recent speeches have created catalogues of issues for the Muslim community,” Khan told Walsh, according to a transcript of his remarks.

To which our reply is:

Your (Isalm's) actions from time immemorial have created ENCYCLOPEDIAs of issues for EVERY non-Muslim community on the planet.

What an indignant group of muslims, calling this spineless congressman on the carpet for his comments. How does Walsh know that the vast majority are peace-loving and patriotic? I see no evidence of this. Not after 9/11 or FT Hood, anyway. No demonstrations against jihadi violence in the US, no fund raisers for victims. Nothing.

And I doubt Walsh garnered any good will for his personal visit to these death cult members. They were probably even more indignant after he left the bldg.

No, Representative Walsh shouldn't apologize for or back-pedal on his statement. He needs to be educated on the true nature of Islam. Someone should send him a copy of Robert Spencer's book, "Did Mohammad Exist?" Then he'd see just how much of a fabricated farce Islam is, and he'd drop the whole "extremist" and "tiny percentage" line. He is, perhaps, salvageable.

But there's no convincing the true believers. Moon Khan said,

'At the meeting Friday night, Khan said members of the local Muslim community “are young, American-born-and-raised individuals who share the American dream of a life of liberty, peace and the pursuit of happiness. They are your teachers, doctors, nurses, engineers, policemen and hard-working Americans that [are] productive members of society ...”'

Well, what of it? The only way these teachers, doctors, nurses, engineers, etc. can eliminate themselves as suspected potential jihadists is to repudiate Islam root and branch, that is, learn more about their own creed than they've ever known, even though they were raised to be Muslims. They, too, should be sent copies of Mr. Spencer's book. They'd see that to try to reform Islam would be as fruitless as trying to "reform" Nazism or Communism or Progressivism.

But, then, what would they do for a religion? Turn Christian? Mormon? Buddhist? Gravitate towards some form of deism? Aye, there's the rub. The default moral code for centuries has always been some form of mysticism, some system of irrationality that features an Alpha Casper the Friendly Ghost and his Merry Band of Angels battling a wicked Snidely Whiplash gang of devils and demons. They can't just accept that "existence exists and the non-perceptual can't." Like Christians and the faithful of other creeds, they can't imagine existence existing without having had an "author" of a "first cause," or otherwise believing that reality is the plaything of invisible beings who are rather shy about proving their existence.

It's a premise that religion has wired into their minds from the moment their parents or teachers first mouthed some form of altruism or mentioned God or Allah or Wontonka and that this entity would be very unhappy with them if they didn’t just obey and not submit to temptation. And that's what they've heard all their lives, in mosque or church or synagogue, and even from politicians on the stump or on "Washington Week."

What few in this culture hears is a philosophy of reason that dispenses with the non-A.

Walsh obviously has the testicles which I've mentioned elsewhere which are so urgently needed throughout our Congress and Administration(s).

We've been lulled into drowsiness by this synthetic narcotic called "Political Correctness"

No such thing. There is only islam. Yes, there a "cultural" muslims, who are muslim in name only, and who want to enjoy the freedoms of the West. But they are considered to be apostates. When islam takes over, all these cultural muslims (who we often call "moderate muslims") will be killed. Bottom line: there is no such thing as fundamental islam, or radical islam. There is only islam. Right Bob?

Critics of Michele Bachmann discuss this matter without referring to the proven conspiracy, found in the "Holy Land Foundation" case for a "grand jihad" eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions." Those who were indicted were convicted and are in jail.

This is a conspiracy of long standing. It was revealed from documents obtained by an FBI raid on the home of persons that were discovered photographing the bridge supports for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The author, Mohammed Akram, had written in Arabic:

"My request to my brothers is to read the memorandum and to write what they wanted of comments and corrections, keeping in mind that what is between your hands is not strange or a new submission without a root, but rather an attempt to interpret and explain some of what came in the long-term plan which we approved and adopted in our council [Mus B Shura Council] and our conference in the year (1987). " He submitted the reworded plan to the Shura council for approval and action.

The authenticity of the document was not contested at trial.

Many mainstream Muslim organizations, all oiffshoots of the Muslim Brotherhood such as CAIR that presents itself as a civil rights organization were listed as participating in this conspiracy and they were listed as un-indicted co-conspirators. When CAIR and another group sought from the Court to be removed from this list, the court declined to honor the request, stating that the designation was fully justified by the record.

Obama's administration has appointed several people with personal or family associations with the Muslim Brotherhood.

McCarthy, the Federal prosecutor of the terrorists involved in the first World Trade Center bombing has said:

"since Secretary Clinton’s tenure began, with Huma Abedin serving as a top adviser, the United States has aligned itself with the Muslim Brotherhood by reversing the policy against formal contacts with the Brotherhood; funded Hamas; continued funding Egypt after the Brotherhood won the elections; dropped an investigation of Brotherhood organizations in the U.S. that were unindicted co-conspirators, financing Hamas; hosted Brotherhood delegations in the United States; issued a visa to a member of the a designated terrorist organization and hosted him in Washington; announced that Israel should go back to its indefensible 1967 borders; excluded Israel from a counterterrorism forum in which the State Department sought to “partner” with Islamist governments that do not regard attacks on Israel as terrorism; and pressured Egypt’s pro-American military government to surrender power to the anti-American Muslim Brotherhood parliament and president just elected by Egypt’s predominantly anti-American population.

“… if Huma Abedin did have a bias in favor of the Muslim Brotherhood, and if she were actually acting on that bias to try to tilt American policy in favor of the Muslim Brotherhood, what exactly would the State Department be doing differently?"

I would think that as a former federal prosecutor, he would be a reliable source of information.

I'm reminded of a one liner Rep.Walsh should have used with this pond scum,Aaah choo sorry I'm allergic to bullshit.

I have recently heard a phrase that has stuck in my head. it is that maybe not all muslims are terrorist... but ALL terrorist are muslims. funny how that work out.

A small crack in the facade these murderous bastards hide behind? Methinks Mr. Moon, much like the rest of this devious bunch, doth protest too much. I hope Rep. Walsh is ready for the barrage of filthy nonsense about to be rolling his way.

I'm surprised some of the American JW commenters are not more appreciative of Mr. Walsh and his comments.

Here you have a mainstream politician with the guts to come out and say that 'radical islamists' are a threat to America, and in the face of the usual muslim whinging, whining, and flak, **he is refusing to back down.**

If a mainstream politician in the UK had the courage to come out and say this, and refuse to back down, I would be thanking God, fasting.

OK, Mr. Walsh might not get the threat in its entirety, of course it's not just 'radical islamists', but he has made a start, and he should be encouraged; *especially* encouraged in his refusal to back down to the whinging of muslims with their ''islam is a religion of peace and my feelings are so hurt, boo hoo '' BS.

If I may say so, all American JW commenters who want rid of your embarrassing, and dangerous, President in November, should be writing, and e-mailing, and phone calling Mr. Walsh, with messages of approval and support.

In fact, if anyone is able to provide a contact for him, I'll write to him myself, as a Brit, to congratulate him on jis stance.

The main moral of this story involves the following:

1) The dominant meme of PC MC with regard to the problem of Islam is the TMOE ("Tiny Minority of Extremists").

a) This meme is accorded further padding and dilution to ensure it does not morph into anything objectionable by PC MC standards -- thus:

* not only are the extremists tiny in number, they are also "twisting" or "hijacking" Islam, and neither represent true Islam, nor do they reflect the comparative vast majority of harmless, good decent Muslims of the world

* the extremists are motivated by their fabricated extremist Islam, but they are probably more motivated by other non-Islamic factors, such as poverty, geopolitical problems with the rule of tyrants, and various other factors probably ultimately caused, or exacerbated, by Western policies over the decades

2) Even though the PC MCs make sure to pad the meme, their anxiety about it morphing into "bigotry" is so great, they have chosen to believe in it only implicitly, and to try never to state it explicitly, by avoiding mention of the I or M word ("Islam", "Muslim") and even by avoiding any permutations thereof ("Islamist", "radical Islamism", "hardline Muslims", etc.).

3) We have the fact that Joe Walsh repeated almost verbatim the PC MC meme of the TMOE:

I stand by my original statement that while the overwhelming majority of Muslim Americans are as peace-loving as everyone else, there are radical Islamists right here in the United States trying to kill Americans and destroy this country.

And yet, he is taken to task for it and expectations of an apology from him are bruited about. Thus, Walsh's sin here was not in believing the meme -- for PC MCs themselves believe in the meme -- but rather for stating it explicitly.

4) Thus we see, yet again for the umpteenth time, that being careful to stay within the bounds of political correctness, as Walsh did by anxiously assuring his audience that "the overwhelming majority of Muslim Americans are as peace-loving as everyone else" (that "overwhelming" business particularly grates, having an annoying edge to it even worse than the commoner "vast") doesn't seem to have the effect it's supposed to have -- namely, as I have been assured by countless JW readers over the years, of enabling the supposedly no-nonsense critic who is allegedly softening his anti-Islam stance only for pragmatic purposes and not because he really believes it (if I had a nickel for how many times I've been assured this about George "Islam is a great religion of peace" Bush, I'd be as rich as Bill Gates by now), thus facilitating the effect of becoming acceptable to the mainsream so that we can get the stronger anti-Islam message through the door in the form of a milder less objectionable-seeming wedge.

As I keep saying, however, it seems we need to take a different tack, and be bolder about our antipathy to Islam and to all Muslims who enable Islam (and what Muslims don't...?) -- because the tack of pretending we are soft (and I'm not so sure all JWers are pretending in that regard) ain't working.

Mr Khan's belief in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is a clear indication he is not familiar with the contents of the Quran, Sunnah and Sirah. Perhaps he really believes Sharia is liberty and happiness.

P.S.: Then there are the two recent reports here about various mainstream media castigating Spencer and Geller and caricaturing their position as essentially anti-Muslim bigotry, when they repeatedly and patiently explain that is not their position, and when nothing they say or write explicitly substantiates such a caricature:

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/08/nathan-lean-is-a-thug.html

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/08/greenwich-post-tag-on-this.html

These (including the Walsh report) are just three instances this week of this phenomenon I articulated in my comment above. Over the months, over the years, such instances have been innumerable, and tend to verify my point I made: namely, that a softer stance (whether tactically feigned or sincere) against Islam & Muslims simply isn't doing the job it's intended to do; so why not do a little more Trumanesque Tell-It-Like-Is for a refreshing change?

"...so why not do a little more Trumanesque Tell-It-Like-Is for a refreshing change?"

It is difficult to know if Walsh is merely under/misinformed about Islam or is a typical politician tiptoeing his way through a minefield of potential “hurtful” slights, accusations of “Islamophobia”, and other name-calling that create their fear of career ending “misstatements”; unfounded fears when one considers that, according to the 2009 Pew study, there are—or were—less than 2.5 million Muslims here then (roughly .008% of the population of this nation of “unbelievers” at that time). During the “Big Event” at committeeman Khan’s backyard, a hijabed Muslima stated, with out challenge, of course, “our religion IS peace” Surely he could have quipped, “Judaism and Christianity aren’t? Buddhism isn’t? Nothing career ending about doing that. Something I would cheer. He had the perfect opportunity. So, why didn’t he? Another “guest” at that little get-together, within the context of some question, said there are 10 million Muslims in America. Surely, he could have used that now famous retort “citations, please”. Nothing career ending about doing that. Something I would have cheered. He had the perfect opportunity. So why didn’t he? These are some of the things I’ve asked of him, through his office, along with a specific note that as every Muslim on the planet reads the same Qur’an (plus that almost famous quote from Turkey’s Erdogan—"there is only Islam") to make him fully aware—if he isn’t already—that there is no radical subset of Islam and that so-called Muslim “extremists” and "radicals" are actually literalistsm and that not one of the Qur'an's passages was written or intended for "extremists or radicals" alone. If, however, he already knows these things, and chose to not challenge his Muslim “hosts” with facts, then that is a real problem.
