Representative John Carter (R-TX) to FBI official: "At what point does it get to be Islamic terrorism?"

As far as the politically correct, dhimmi FBI of Barack Obama is concerned, the answer is never. "Fort Hood Lawmaker Grills FBI Official: At What Point Is It ‘Islamic Terrorism’?," by Bridget Johnson at PJ Media, August 2:

Lawmakers expressed concern that a recently released review of the FBI’s actions in the Fort Hood shootings showed an agency that let “political sensitivities” temper the aggressiveness of their investigation into Army Major Nidal Hasan....

Wolf said he was disappointed that FBI Director Robert Mueller, who asked Webster to investigate the agency, didn’t come testify; instead, Mark Giuliano, the FBI’s executive assistant director for national security, appeared before the panel....

Wolf noted to Giuliano the response of Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) to the Webster report: “We are concerned that the report fails to address the specific cause for the Fort Hood attack, which is violent Islamist extremism.”

Giuliano said he couldn’t comment on Hasan’s motivation.

“Clearly, Anwar Awlaki was an individual who was well known in the community; he was a propagandist at that point back in that time,” he said. “We know from some e-mails Hasan looked at him, in his own words, as a leader and an activist, but I can’t get into Mr. Hasan’s head.”

When asked by Wolf whether the mass murder had changed the way the FBI approaches and responds to “domestic violent Islam extremist threats,” Giuliano said training classes have been added for all levels of agents.

“We believe we know who has been in contact with Awlaki or at least potentially is listening or has listened to Awlaki sermons, et cetera and I believe we do have them well covered,” the FBI official added.

Giuliano noted a disconnect between the San Diego field office and the Washington office in how Hasan was investigated. Wolf noted that the final phone call between San Diego and Washington included an exchange about interviewing Muslims who visit extremist Web sites being a “politically sensitive” subject.

“Was political correctness a reason why this lead was not aggressively pursued?” Wolf asked. “…I periodically have a number of FBI agents come up to me, as you know, my district is in Northern Virginia, will tell me that they believe there is a political correctness that is encroaching into the Department of Justice and the FBI.”

“The report did not find political correctness was in any way, shape, or form responsible for his lack of going forward with the interview,” Giuliano said.

Wolf responded that during the congressional recess he’d like to speak alone with the Washington FBI officials about the political correctness question.

“I don’t very much buy into the notion of political correctness,” Fattah said. “I think that we have an issue around constitutional correctness when you have an American citizen, the question of whether they can listen to or read something or to associate themselves in some grouping, it’s pretty clear in the Constitution that those things are protected.”

Carter said he was going to steer the FBI official to a line of questioning in line with the concerns posed to him by his constituents.

“We’re talking about people who were killed, many of whom had been deployed two, three, four times fighting in the war against terror, which until recently was the subject matter of why we went to war. It seems to have changed in this administration but in the previous administration, it was the war on terror,” the Texas congressman said. “They went to fight the war on terror that involved people of the Islamic community.”

“Now we’ve got them coming to me and saying, my husband went in harm’s way for this country three times or my son went in harm’s way for this country four times and he gets killed where he’s stationed by a member of his own military who begins his shooting career as a murderer by shouting ‘Allahu Akbar,’” Carter continued. “And it gets investigated by the Department of Defense and they find it was a workforce violence incident.”

The victims’ families, he said, are just having to listen to excuses about why “procedure” didn’t work.

“I am not here to make excuses,” Giuliano said. “We have to be right every time, 100 percent of the time and when we’re not, the consequences are dire.”

Carter asked if those “dire consequences” meant that some heads will roll at the FBI. Giuliano said that the bureau is reviewing the report and any disciplinary action would be decided within 60 to 90 days.

“To the public, oh that’s a different statement. You said when we fail, there are dire consequences,” Carter said. “Of course, we know there are dire consequences, there’s a bunch of dead people stacked up over at Fort Hood right now that are dire consequences.”

Fort Hood’s representative on the Hill said he couldn’t understand why “two of the most important agencies of this government still haven’t defined what happened at Fort Hood by even mentioning that Islamic terrorism had anything to do with it.”

“If he yelled out ‘Jesus Christ is God,’ would they have said Christians were involved? I mean, at what point does it get to be Islamic terrorism? That’s the simple question. Answer that one,” Carter said.

Giuliano said there’s a difference between someone tied to a terrorist group, “which we could not tie Hasan to during our investigation, and somebody who appears to have been radicalized by that.”

As Wolf noted, Carter said, there’s nothing in the report to indicate that the killing spree of which Hasan stands accused “had anything to do with what we spent 10 years fighting a war about.”

“It dumbfounds me,” Carter said. “And you cannot explain it to people who lost their families and now are being treated with this, they were just casualties of the workforce?”

In reality, they are now casualties not only of Islamic jihad, but of our official cowardice and disingenuousness regarding that jihad.

8:12 "...I (Allah) will instil terror into the hearts of the unbelievers"

3:151 "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah (Trinity of Christians), for which He had sent no authority; their abode will be the Fire; and evil is the home of the wrong-doers!"

At last ! A man named Carter tentatively probes into the dark swamp.

At what point is it Islamic terrorism? At the same point when terrorism committed by Western secular liberals is considered to be Western secular liberal terrorism.

In reality, they are now casualties not only of Islamic jihad, but of our official cowardice and disingenuousness regarding that jihad.

*****

It's hard imagining a more clear-cut case of causation. Effectively Hasan handed the American people a business card stating that "I'm a jihadist following the Koranic strictures."

And this is only one example among countless where officials refuse to name Islam.

Haven't we reached beyond the domain of cowardice and disingenuousness and entered into intentional assistance to Islam?

There are at least two words the American public needs to think about, and to ultimately remove from its vocaulary, as it relates to Islam:

1. Extremism: the "extremism" we've heard so much about--with nary an explanation, ever--is literalism. What the vast majority of our elected "representatives" simply will not publicly admit is that such extremism is literalism; and that Islam expects literalism of Allah's every slave.

Surely the error in their thinking would be exposed by asking them if the Pope is an "extremist", too.

2. Radical: "very different from the usual or traditional", (based, I think, as they see Islam being practiced here,in the U.S., while ignoring the unrestricted practice of Islam in Muslim countries.

That kind of erroneous thinking would be exposed, too, by asking if the Saudi's are "radicals", too.

Make them tap dance.

Yeah, it'd be funny to see the likes of 'honest Abe' do the hop.

“It dumbfounds me,” Carter said. “And you cannot explain it to people who lost their families and now are being treated with this, they were just casualties of the workforce?”.

You shouldn't be dumbfounded, Carter.

Not even Wonder Woman's magical rope could get these people to cross the politically correct line, and tell the truth.

Paul, methinks this Carter chap knows the score, and is just playing slowhand, for the timebeing. Just an optimistic thought.

Typical FBI behavior. Remember, folks, the FBI denied that there was a Mafia back in the old days. They should go back to investigating bank robberies and leave this stuff to the NYPD, which lives in the real world and hopefully has counter-intell officers in every big city in the nation.

Everyone, even the rabidly politically correct, acknowledge the existence of PC now. It is now seen clearly to be a distinct ideology. But its roots are not acknowledged by the PC types and they wriggle out of accusations of using PC maliciously or disruptively, unlike believers in other ideologies. So it manages to be distinct yet at the same time nebulous enough to be denied with impunity by the PC power-holders, excuse-makers and nihilism-advancers in our midst.

"At what point does it get to be Islamic terrorism?"

Give me a break guys!

Good observation, PJG.

I'm glad that Carter and some others are making these guys sweat, and hopefully making some of them sick to their stomachs at having to talk in Orwell-speak all the time about why people are getting killed and why speech is being censored, and why many public figures and institutions are self-censoring.

Oh well. At least these agencies are getting interrogated on their deceptive non-speech speech.

Methinks I begin to see the fruit of the tireless activities of assorted ACT for America and Freedom Defense Initiative chapters, not to mention the many 'freelance' Islamosavvy citizens who have been patiently working away at the political coalface.

American jihadwatchers - and in particular, those who may reside in Texas - do please get behind Representative John Carter and **push**.

Make sure that his in-tray is filled with Love Mail; brief, well-phrased expressions of intelligent appreciation and encouragement. Because: he's coming in over the target and he will be starting to cop flak.

Anybody reading this who may happen to be one of his constituents: you are a fortunate person. Find some way to phone him or to visit him in person - preferably in a group - and tell him to keep at it. Let him know that if he does, he has got Voters well and truly behind him, backing him up. It's always easier to be brave and do the right thing if you know you're not the only one.

See if you can find out exactly what he knows about Islam - has he read the Quran? does he know about the Sira and the Hadith? does he know what John Quincy Adams said about Islam, and Jihad? has he ever heard about Taqiyya and Kitman, Islamic Deception? - and, depending on what he tells you, either express approval (i..e 'you're on the right track, sir', carry on') or offer additional information.

Re:
""At what point does it get to be Islamic terrorism?"

I'd ask at what point do we start calling a Muslim a Muslim and drop this coy word play about their being any perceived difference between "Islam" and being a Muslim?

Aren't the two joined at the doctrinal-brain? Aren't the two inseparable from their oh-so-belligerent Koran?

Further, we shouldn't be at all shy about pointing out the arch hypocrisy and outright bulls**t of those who incredibly bleat about Muslims being able to good American citizens....simply because some of them may be carrying United States Passports.

If a Muslim doesn't adhere to those belligerent verses in their Koran, then isn't that Muslim apostate?,...and subject to having his throat cut?

How does one reconcile being a "good Muslim" and being a "good American citizen"?

The sooner we Americans gather up our ostrich feathers fluttering all over the place and put them in an incinerator, clear that acrid smoke from the air and get down to the serious existential business of accepting the stark fact that we are an
nation at war against Muslims....and have been for the past decade, or longer....depending on where one starts counting these Muslim attacks against us....the better off and more mature we'll be.

Wake up, America!

Thanks, dumbledoresarmy, for saying that.

Here's a convenient link that may be useful to spur some on to getting some valuable perspective of the war we're fighting now, a war declared upon us by these Muslims...which we somehow refuse to see as a reality.

....."John Quincy Adams on Islam
by Dave Miller, Ph.D.".....

.....enter that into the Google Search bloc....then, of course, read it.

The administration and most members of Congress have been so besy trying to appease Islam and all Muslims, it has remained ignorant to the facts. Removed from the truth in the name of politically correctness.

It my be to late for them to admit their short falls and absence of allegiance to the nation they once swore to protect.

Nearing the definition of treason, these legislators move forward in their ignorance and allegiance to Islams ideology.

Mean while Muslims enjoy their parade acoss the globe, at the cost of non-Muslims (kaffirs).
