In Atlas Shrugs I discuss how Islamic supremacists have been exploiting the recent murderous attack on a Sikh temple:
A neo-Nazi last week stormed a Sikh temple and murdered six people in Wisconsin. Ever since then, Muslim organizations in the U.S. such as the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), abetted by the mainstream media, have been cravenly exploiting this horror for their own purposes, blaming "anti-Muslim sentiment."
The New York Times was the worst, publishing an unctuous piece by Samuel G. Freedman entitled "If the Sikh Temple Had Been A Mosque" and ultimately blaming "well-endowed groups like Jihad Watch, ACT for America and Stop Islamization of America" for the carnage.
This is as unconscionable as it is crass, for numerous reasons, none of which have to do with the fact that Jihad Watch and SIOA are anything but "well-endowed." Foremost among them is the fact that Sikhs aren't Muslims; are often harassed and persecuted by Muslims (while these same U.S. Muslim organizations remain silent). There is no evidence whatsoever that the Nazi murderer intended to kill Muslims and was killing Sikhs by mistake, and no one with even rudimentary knowledge of these issues would ever actually mistake a Sikh for a Muslim. In reality, white supremacist neo-Nazis generally consider Islamic supremacists to be their allies; and those working against jihad and Islamic supremacism, whom Hamas-linked CAIR and its allies are blaming for these murders, never call for or justify any violence.
The Muslim exploitation of the Sikh murders is part of the “Islamophobia” industry: the ongoing attempt to convince Americans that “Islamophobia” is rampant, and Muslims are being victimized daily, and need special protection from law enforcement (which will thereby be conveniently diverted from investigating jihad terror plotting). All genuine bigotry is absolutely unacceptable, of course, but in fact, Muslims are rarely its victims. FBI statistics show that there is no "Islamophobia." Contrary to media emphases and preoccupations, many "anti-Muslim hate crimes" have been faked by Muslims, and Jews are eight times more likely than Muslims to be the victims of hate attacks.
Hamas-linked CAIR trumpets “hate crimes” against Muslims, real and imagined, and even uses hate crimes against other groups in order to deflect attention away from jihad activity and try to portray Muslims as victims, so as to shame non-Muslims into not investigating or even being suspicious of further jihad activity. Hamas-linked CAIR and other Muslims have not even hesitated to fabricate "hate crimes." CAIR and other groups like it want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.
The appalling Harris Zafar, the Ahmadi Muslim spokesman who sides with those who persecute his people in Pakistan and Indonesia and instead attacks those who defend his people, tweeted after the attack that “crimes against Sikhs Since 9/11 driven by hatred for Muslims.” His claim was not original: most mainstream media reports on the murders claimed that that the Sikhs were murdered because they were actually mistaken for Muslims – despite the fact that there is no substantiation for this claim.
