Standing in solidarity with the Sikhs

A neo-Nazi has stormed a Sikh temple and murdered six people in Wisconsin. Muslim organizations in the U.S. such as Hamas-linked CAIR, abetted by the mainstream media, are cravenly exploiting this horror for their own purposes, blaming "anti-Muslim sentiment," even though Sikhs aren't Muslims; are often harassed and persecuted by Muslims (while these same U.S. Muslim organizations remain silent); no one with even rudimentary knowledge of these issues would ever actually mistake a Sikh for a Muslim; white supremacist neo-Nazis generally consider Islamic supremacists to be their allies; and those working against jihad and Islamic supremacism never call for or justify any violence.

In these dark days for the Sikh community in the U.S. and around the world, we stand in solidarity with them. So I thought it fitting to post again the video above, which includes a prayer from Bhupinder Singh Bhurji, Chairman and CEO of Namdhari Sikh Foundation and a Sikh priest, at our AFDI/SIOA Freedom Rally at Ground Zero on September 11, 2011. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sikhs now.

Ignorance thinks (?) anyone with a turban is a Mahoundian...

When I first heard of this attack my first thought was it's a Muslim jihadist suicide by cop attack, given that we know how much Muslims love and respect Sikhs.

How utterly awful this event has been not only for the entirely innocent victims but also, it does not bode well for those involved in exposing the evils of Islam - a completely different religion. Unfortunately the gullible left will use this to help further surrender our God given freedoms to Shari'ah law and Islam - a complete political system that destroys and stagnates whole civilizations.

It was clear in the wake of this tragedy that Muslim organizations will try to exploit it to perpetuate their victim status. We haven't heard much from the likes of CAIR but there is a good chance that it will happen.

It's unfortunate that Americans can't or won't differentiate between Sikhs and Muslims. If it was not for the last Sikh Guru Gobind Singh who started the armed resistance against Muslim/Moghal invader Aurangzeb, the fate of Hindu India would have been much different than what it is now. Sikh gurus were one of the earlier freedom fighters in India against the Islamic rule. Three Sikh gurus were beheaded by Moghals for not converting to Islam, the father of the last Guru Gobind Singh being one of them. The name of the famous Gurudwara(Sikh Temple) in Delhi bears it's name Shish Ganj after his sacrifice as it was the site of beheading and displaying of his head at this location. Talk about the cruelty and brutality of Mulsims and the history is full of it!!

Background reports on Page tell of his hatred for Jews expressed in his skinhead bands' lyrics. Chew on that, Mr. Hooper.

All this atrocity does is empower our Islamist enemies, their allies, and their league of useful idiots (which, unfortunately includes some naive Sikhs) who seek to destroy our way of life.

Race is not and should not be the issue, despite the obvious attempts by our Islamist enemies and their supporters to slander their opponents as "racists" whenever the opportunity presents itself.

The threat all non-Muslims (irrespective of their skin color, physical features, or place of origin) face comes from Islamic supremacist doctrines, which are fundamental tenets of Islam (and not an aberration or "misinterpretation" thereof) and the predatory Jihad mandate (which is also "orthodox" Islam).

The Sikhs have had their own firsthand experience with predatory Jihad and Islamic supremacism, as the exhibits in the Martyr Museum in the holiest Sikh temple in Amritsar attest. Their religion was, in effect, founded by a post-Muhammad prophet (like the Ahmadi sect of Islam and Mormonism), which, in devout Muslim eyes, makes it illegitimate (like all the world's other "systems of belief"). Muslims boiling Sikhs to death, bayonetting pregnant Sikh women in the belly, sawing Sikhs in half from head to groin - these are a few of the images I remember being displayed in the museum.

Unfortunately, some Sikhs have become ignorant of their faith's struggles at the hands of Muslims in and around the Punjab, and the core Islamic doctrines that sanction the persecution of Sikhs and others, for all time. As a result of this tragedy, more Sikhs (and more useful idiots) will now work with Islamist supremacists and thereby advance their nefarious agenda.

When CAIR fesses up to the spewing of Jew-hating bile from all too many Imams in their khutbas, then it might gain some shread of credibility and legitimacy.

Sikhs are wonderful people; my heart goes out to them.

Quite right, duh_swami. Knuckleheaded ignorance belongs to the vehemently prejudiced. They don't have the capacity to think for themselves, they have no mind of their own, they can only generalize. No matter how much they surf on the information highway in the 21st century, their mind can not be made accessible to intelligence.

That's a typical pattern the doctrines of universalist third-worldism, Nazism and Islam have in common. Adherents of these doctrines act like cogwheels in a totalitarian machinery.

"Unfortunately the gullible left will use this to help further surrender our God given freedoms to Shari'ah law and Islam"

All the more reason why both the Sikh communities and the counterjihad movement should educate the general public about the Sikh religion plus how it historically survived in the face of the great adversity that is called Islamic Supremacism during the Mughal area and later on. They have to find out how these people are going to be abused by the MSM.

I'm looking for a way to send a message of support to the Oakwood Sikhs. I was at the WI State Fair in West Allis, not too far from Oakwood, when news of the massacre was made known.

I am absolutely appalled at this horrific attack and want that temple to know that us Wisconsinites stand with them and value them as part of our community.

We are with you and we love you.

Greetings:

At the risk of appearing contentious, on last evening's Progressive (née Public) Broadcasting System's "Newhour" program, they interviewed a Sikh spokesman from New York who had gone to Milwaukee to assist in the murders' aftermath. It struck me that his verbal contribution sounded much like a junior varsity version of one of CAIR's "Islamophobia" diatribes, long on the whining and short on the specifics.

Sikhs pose zero threat to the basic liberties guaranteed by the Constitution. They and their belief system are not a problem whatsoever to the American Republic. And may I extend my personal sympathies to the Sikh community here in America for the horrible crime and tragedy which was perpetrated upon a number of Sikhs in Wisconsin by a man who betrayed American principles and America itself by his dastardly actions.

If only Islam were a monotheistic religion of gentleness and peace like Sikhism there would have been no 9/11 and over 19,000 subsequent Koran inspired deaths.

Gunmen have opened fire on an evangelical church during a service in central Nigeria, killing at least 19 people in the latest such attack in the country, on latest updates.

Youssef

this will happen when hell freezes over. cair are a bunch of cowards.
M

There's not a shred of courage and decency in CAIR's fiber.

If this was some mistaken attempt to attack Muslims then the guy couldn't have been more wrong. Sikhism is the direct opposite of Islam in so many ways.

Sikhism holds that there is absolute equality regardless of birth, gender, or office. Islam holds that men are superior to women and muslims to non-muzzies.

Sikhism holds that it is a duty to fight for the oppressed whatever their religion. Islam holds that it is a duty to suppress other religions.

Sikhism holds that no pressure should be put on anyone to convert to another religion. Islam holds that people should be "made to feel subdued" and pay punitive tax or be killed unless they convert.

My heart goes out to my Sikh brothers and sisters at this difficult time. So often non-Muslims from the Middle East and Indian sub-continent who live in the West feel that they are squeezed from both sides - persecuted by Muslims, then blamed by the public for the many muzzie atrocities.

As far as exploiting this atrocity, the most annoying was Piers Morgan on CNN. He just wouldn't let up trying to get his guests to link this to anti-Islam sentiment, despite his guests telling him more than once that the neo-nazi types are obsessed with RACE and hate anyone who isn't white. He is a complete prat, to use a British term.

His only guest willing to go along with him was not surprisingly from the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Contrary to the argument attempted by duh swami and Anushirvan, this isn't a case of "Knuckleheaded ignorance".

There has not been one case of a Nazi or white power person killing Muslims because they are Muslim. There is no evidence this particular neo-Nazi committed this massacre on the mistaken belief he was killing Muslims, and that Muslims were his intended target. Without evidence for this claim, one shouldn't bandy it about -- particularly as it only reinforces the PC MC view that Muslims are part of the classes of people who exclusively enjoy the Victim Status and thereby suffer bigotry.

What's more likely is that this neo-Nazi was in his mind doing Muslims a favor and probably admires Islam and agrees with their hatred of various peoples, including Sikhs and Jews.

I think it has to be said that in this day and age, where people share an enormous wealth in information channels, most people seem to have a very flimsy grasp on issues regarding cultural differences, although many claim to be experts all of a sudden on local culture as soon as they've spent a few weeks lying on their lazy ass near the hotel swimming pool in an exotic country. Which is why most people can't possibly make the distinction between Sikhs and Muslims.

I tend to believe that a large majority of people spends more time focusing their attention on all manner of superficial fashion trends, celebrity and technology hypes via Facebook and the like, rather than earnestly attempting to dig into serious issues. Which is all the more ironical, because many of those people would pretentiously claim they are truly interested in cultures in general, and most of the time in fact they are totally unable to discern the differences. They heap all cultures together. (and as I have often found, in most cases they know jack shit when you start questioning them)

I think that hyperconsumerism (as I call it) as the main target of these info channels (or should I say infotainment ?) does more to undermine the ability of critical thinking than anything else on this planet at the moment.

"What's more likely is that this neo-Nazi was in his mind doing Muslims a favor and probably admires Islam and agrees with their hatred of various peoples, including Sikhs and Jews."

That is one hypothesis you can posit and it could be perfectly valid, seeing as there are many commonalities between Islam and Nazism, historically well-evidenced. On the other hand, I've seen people making the mistake on a day to day basis, i.e. ordinary citizens, as related to my previous reaction.

And last but not least, many of these rednecks are far removed from being great intellectuals. I've seen neo-Nazi numbskulls behave like cave men, worse than homo erectus. They don't make good use of their brain, in any case. You sort of have to wonder if they have a brain.

Maybe neither of us is actually wrong. Or we may both be jumping the gun somehow at this point.

Nazis and Muslims are comrades, they share the same pathological hatred for jews and dissent, for any anyone that doesn't think, act and look like them.

Maybe I am simply asserting somehow that any individual, who chooses to integrally comply with a totalitarian doctrine that enforces mind-numbing uniformity, is not all that intelligent to start with ?

Maybe such individuals simply think in the back of their minds "Why should I think for myself when I have a ready-made system in place that provides me with all the necessary solutions to what life is going to throw at me ?"

Maybe that's the real stupidity of what has been going on in Wisconsin ? Maybe Muslims should ask themselves the question also at one point, maybe then they'll start to get in touch with the potential rewards of thinking like an individual ? Maybe they'd start getting intelligent in the long run ? Such as Muslim apostates ?

Got to hand it to you, dude - I didn't get the point of your postings at all. I don't know whether you read the article you should be commenting on? If yes, it is normally worth typing your views instead of this pseudo intellectual mumbo-jumbo that adds no value.

I stand with the Sikhs. They suffered more than any other Asians in the hands of the Muslims. I have read their history. They love eating pork, they drink bear/whisky/Vodka by the bucket load. They are opposite to what Islam is. They represent equality for every race, sex and religion. Anyone can go to any Sikh temple (yes, even Muslims are welcomed - strange as it may sound!) - no questions asked. You can eat there as much as you you can till you pop without spending a cent.

Indian army had 80% Sikhs in the early days to stop Pakistani Muslim advances. As someone pointed out earlier - there are some pseudo-Sikhs who are a little pro-Muslims, I guess they forgotten their historical reasons for being a Sikh. Sikhs were one of the first anti-Jihadists about 4-5 hundred years ago.

My solidarity goes to the Sikhs, at JW we have always stood shoulder to shoulder with the Sikhs and understand that as a group they have been terribly afflicted by the jihad. Conversely we have consistently held a fierce contempt towards any racist or supremacists individual or group, in fact it is JW "raison d'etere" to fight the number one bigotry threataning world freedom, liberty and life
.

I agree with your insight, and I believe that it is a point evidently being missed even by our inside “intelligentsia”
The collusion and kinship between white supremacists and islamist is well documented. Below I'll submit a link providing a visual to this phenomena.
This is not the first time these groups attack someone other than Jewish or Black, these imbecilic whack jobs have gone after Indians, Hispanics and even shot a Filipino mailman in LA a few years back.

Cocktail tidbit: Many male Sikhs carry a modest ceremonial dagger on them in their waistband. This emblem of their "warrior tradition" stems from a victory against evildoers hundreds of years ago or something. When I heard that an older temple member was found with his dagger near his hand, it made me sad.

I join in heartily, deeply sorrowfully, and in respect of the Sikh faith and community, with this disgusting act of aggression, by a pathetic member or follower, of a criminal group. I have for years had a general respect and regard for Sikhs, and have, when visiting a place near one of my locations, and Sikhs have been visiting and come near to me, I have verbally greeted and extended my welcome and bid them to enjoy the area. They have always been cordial, at the least.

I stand with any belief system, which as a matter of principled policy, poses no threats nor violence, for those leaving it, nor is supremacist, nor is violent, nor demands or suggests violence to anyone else, within or without the belief system, ever.

I admire those who practice and believe in civilizationally generally accepted good behavior.

From me, thanks to all, especially Robert Spencer, who have supplied even more knowledge than I had had about several related subjects here, particularly about the neo's and "sin" heads. That is why it is a special pleasure for me to have the privilege of learning so much more, through the collective knowledge of so many scholars and scholarly individuals, albeit this not being a good occasion to so learn, but at least something positive for the honor of those good people lost, to evil, needlessly.

...and scholarly individuals.."at JW"...(meant to say)

Interesting tidbit, and here is the surprizing good coverage on the temple president and founder, as another hero, albeit with only a butter knife, if reports are correct?:

http://www.fox11online.com/dpp/news/wisconsin/son-of-oak-creek-temple-founder-says-his-father-was-a-hero

I think the dagger is ceremonial, and perhaps from my memory of a time long ago. Don't know. But this gentleman had his heart in the right place, to try to help and save, as did that first officer, especially, who could use every prayer as he is still in critical condition, and the second one who took out the perp!

The Sikh's in canada NEVER made a valid heart felt apology for the 2 Sikh TERRORISTS that slaughtered 240 CANADIAN'S via suit-case bombs on a 747 that exploded at 35'000 feet and 500 MPH over the Atlantic, and, killed Japanese workers at the Airport from a flight delay that set off the bomb early in Japan.
In 2010 there were sveral Plaques placed across canada as Memorials to the 329 civilians murdered by Sikh's that plotted the slaughter in canada and loaded the bombs on the planes in canada.
The Memorials for the 329 deaths was purged of any links to Sikh Terrorists , just like the 9/11 Memorial in Ottawa, canada was purged of any link to islam or the 19 MUSLIMS that slaughtered 24 Candian civilians.

I don't blame ALL Sikhs' or ALL Muslims , BUT, i do expect some admission to the slaughter and a proper denouncing of the Terrorism instead of the hollow apology that islam ,or Sikhism HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT when the killers praised their God and did it FOR their faith.

Sikh's and Muslims have tenets that want THEIr faith to dominate the Globe, and sure they ahve peaceful verses when Politicians visit the temples.

Lets see the Sikh's show foregivness to NOt blame all Americans' for one nutbar , and then move-on to NOT hold-up this mass murder every year to rub it in the faces of non-Sikh's.
Canadains got over the Sikh slaughter of 240 fellow citizens( the biggest % group was grand children on the Air India flight to their parents homeland ).

BTW
I expect CAIR to post a Security Alert to guard against islamophobic attacks on muslims and mosques .
How odd that this Sikh killer is named a "White supremacy" killer, and yet Maj. Nidal was never called a "islamic Supremacy" muslim that killed only NON-Muslims that day.

Maybe Obama will call this slaughter a "Holy Temple violence".

BTW

Sikh's in canada fought for a Special-Status to be exempt from canada's Helmet laws for motor vehicles and Construction site. The fought to wear the Turban as Cops and got exempt from Riot-Duty clause because the Helmet interferes with their faith and this means that most females cops will be forced to takle the place of a Sikh male and risk thier lives at a Riot while getting the same Salary as the Sikh male Cop.

If someone is forced to wear some type of Costume to be part of a quasi-faith, they should find jobs that let them prqactise their fatih and NOT impose their rituals on all others that don't follow their faith.
Brave Sikh's fought in WW2, BUT, everyone was shot at and faced the threats of death while on the frontline, NO Sikh soldier was exempt from fighting biut they could exercise the right to not wear a helmet and killed first during battle.

Lets stop kisssing-up to every new faith in order to not offend people. Just beause i have never seen a Sikh homeless person, it doesn't mean i will blindly drreink the Sikhism Kool-ade and embrace all of Sikism as peaceful and no threat to Liberty and Freedoms. One Sikh Temple near me ( Weston Road & St.Clair west Toronto) had sword waving Sikh's fighting on the Streets as part of a power struggle just after the Terrorism that slaughter 240 canadians for Sikhism. The PC Cops refused to make arrests just to keep the peace, today it's Muslim's that break the laws and get away with it.

Anushirvan,

The point is, classical Nazis and neo-Nazis have never shown anti-Muslim hostility; while they have shown the opposite (collaboration with, and admiration of, Islam).

Similarly for ideologically driven white power types (cf. August Kreis, a leader in the Aryan Nation movement).

There may well be other, more amorphous and disorganized "redneck" types who are not ideologically motivated, per se, but who are simply acting on the basis of a generally diffuse racism, who may thus be anti-Muslim only because Muslims are "Brown".

My point is that the latter explanation is unlikely if a perpetrator of anti-Sikhk violence is identifiable as a "neo-Nazi".

ala sux,

Do you know what the Sikhs claimed their motivation was for that terrorist attack?

As much as we wish to be the "friends of the enemies of our enemies", we should not rule out the possibility that Sikhs, over the centuries, became to some degree inculcated with the Islamic virus. Indeed, is not Sikhism itself an offshoot of Islam or some kind of weird combination of oil & water -- i.e., of Hinduism and Islam?

The way I see the Sikhs is this:

As the Knights Templar (not in their mythical but in their less sensational, original historic form) or the Knights of St John to 'Christendom', or as the IDF to Israel, so perhaps also the Sikhs to non-Muslim India (though they 'hived off' from the broader Hindu society, whereas other groups like the Marathi, the Rajputs and the Gurkhas, who also have a proud history of resistance to Jihad, remained Hindu).

They look to me like India's version of the 'antibodies' that a high human civilisation must come up with, upon contact with Islam, if it intends to survive.

I don't know how accurate the wikipedia account of Sikhism is, but if it is even halfway accurate, Sikhism is - despite its warrior elements - radically different from Islam in various decisive ways.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikh

The Sikhs I have met - and I have met some - and the Sikh couples/ families I have seen in my part of the woods, have given off an entirely different aura and 'vibe' from that which is exuded by Muslims. Even though the wikipedia article says that Sikh women *may* wear a turban or scarf, the Sikh women that *I* have seen have had their heads uncovered, a long sleek plait hanging down their backs. They walk with their heads high, *beside* their husbands, rather than scuttling obsequiously behind them as the Mohammedan female chattels do.

This is a tragedy and we must support the Sikhs. Let us also support the families of the 13 people slaughtered by muslim terrorist Maj. Nidal Hassan. He was shouting Allah Akhar as he mowed them down, was influenced by a radical, called himself the Soldier of Allah, even gave powerpoint presentations on jihad.

Before the Sikh crime scene was secured, the FBI called it Domestic Terrorism. The FBI stated thatFort Hood was not domestic terrorism, but an 'isolated incident' and 'workplace violence. The FBI also ignored the red flags leading to the massacre because they didn't want to offend terrorist-linked CAIR.

There should be a discussion about this.

I find it pretty strange though, that you seem to be immediately implying that this guy is of the organized type per se, and that he has been more or less directly egged on by Muslims sort of hiding in the background. Pretty strange to think that you can be so visionary as to conclude all that from the get go, without any media having reported on such a thing being factual as yet. Are you in fact suggesting that whacko redneck idiots are unable to do these things of their own accord now and have to wait until their operation gets officially sanctioned by Salafis or imams ? Pretty weird assumption, that. Quite a lot of Muslims seem to think that when anything goes wrong at their end the Jews always have a hand in it. Which we call conspiracy theory and equally ludicrous. Maybe Timothy Mcveigh was egged on by Muslims. Why didn't I just think of that ? Brilliant explanation, that (!)

"The point is, classical Nazis and neo-Nazis have never shown anti-Muslim hostility; while they have shown the opposite (collaboration with, and admiration of, Islam)."

Don't lecture me on history, either, because I do know all that. It's getting tedious. Go patronize somebody else.

Maybe I should stop caring altogether, terrorism being what it is, irrespective of what the ideological core of it is. Maybe I shouldn't really give a toss as to whether Nazis, Antifa groups or Salafis get mixed up together anymore, or whether they intermittently decide to act totally independent, or whatever. Maybe the Counterjihad should denounce all terrorism, irrespective of where it comes from and whether or not it gets intertwined. Better still, maybe we should simply start living with terrorism, and stop whining about all that shit.

Who cares anyway (?) And all that shit I am getting from you and BlueRaven whereas I did show solidarity with Sikhs to start with !

Fuck this !

Before the Milwaukee mass murder, the Sikhs' most dangerous foes were Muslims. The Taliban has a history of beheading Sikhs. Many of the founding Sikh holy men were formerly Muslims, making Sikhism an apostate group in the eyes of Islam.

I am not surprised that CAIR has jumped on the bandwagon, again. I am also not surprised that the Chicago Trib etc. once again describes CAIR as a civil rights organization.

Anushirvan,

I don't mind your emotional hostility toward me; and I don't mind your robust disagreements with me on various points.

What really annoys the heck out of me, however, is when such emotional hostility and disagreement is so obviously based upon elementary misreadings of what I already wrote to you.

You know what ? I am deciding as of now that I am going to change tack on the way I have been trying to educate people in my neck of the woods about Islam and what it holds in store for them. I am going to refrain from it. As a matter of fact, I have discerned that neither politicians, neither the general public actually deserve to be treated reasonably that way. The PC MC complacency of people makes all constructive discussion totally impossible where I live. People live in denial.

I have seen how the tendency of Islam to force itself upon us has had the most serious effects it has ever had here since I have decided to criticize Islam: instances of violence against gays have risen in the last six months, women have been consistently harassed where I live and called whores,...etc. And then any sensible person should start askings questions about where it all originates. And rather than turn realistic and consequently point at Islam, I consistently see how for instance homosexuals try to explain it away as "a general tendency in our society" or how modern and assertive women want to attribute the cause to "general male chauvinism", rather than dare point at Islam.

This my 'friend' is how terrorism becomes mainstream and totally accepted, and I tell you, that as of now, I am NOT going to show any empathy for the general public and its ill-conceived stupidity when things really get pearshaped. I tell you that I don't live in a country where terrorist actions like 9/11, Madrid or London have taken place yet, but I am quite sure that's it WILL happen some day. And I tell you that when it happens over here, I am NOT going to shed a tear over it, neither will I point the finger and say "I told you so", I am going to stand by the sideline, look at it, and turn my back on it as of now. I have done all I can as far as I am concerned, and it will consistently fall on deaf ears. It will happen everywhere, systematically. Our discourse falls on deaf ears everywhere, PC MC will deflect it everywhere and shit will happen. At some point, terrorism is going to be part and parcel of our day to day lives, and there's nothing any blogger can do about it. Thanks to lackadaisical immigration policies everywhere. Let it happen, I say. I have invested enough of my spare time in trying to make people see sense on blogs where I live, and it is a totally wasted effort.

NO MORE OF IT.

I've had enough of it.

yes I do, the media reported it to be part of the battle back home in India . Canada has been importing terrorists from decades and the lates ones are the tamil-Tigers supporters that assaulted the Cops and used babies as human-shileds to storm the highway in Toronto and occupy it for almost 9 hour because of their war back home.

The Inquiry had exposed so much foreknowledge of the Terror plot that it made me sick that Sikh's in general stayed muted on it, Sikh's today in BC still honour the Terrorists in a Parade for their Faith.

BTW
I don't get my perceptioon of relaity from the CBC or the Liberal Party propaganda. I got my facts from the Sikh's themselves who still haven't denoucned the Terrorists properly.

Let's face it. Islam criticism is reaping no rewards, whatsoever. We are a tiny minority that wants to educate a vast majority of ignoramuses, willfully blind for what's happening under their noses. And that's the way it will remain until the shit really hits the fan. I.e. Western societies will never come to their senses, until all is lost and we will find ourselves in an apocalyptic / dystopian nightmare that's currently used as a screenplay for cinematic mass amusement that filters out any reference to Islam. That's where we are heading, thanks to politicians, thanks to the pervasive disorder of PC MC that's clouding the minds of the general public. No matter what we say, no matter how desperately we want to be heard.

I am done with being called an unrealistic scaremonger, Islamophobe, racist, or what have you. I am going to let it rot. Everything's changing for the worse, and I am going to disengage. Europe is already lost as a consequence, all the rest will follow. Maybe there's still something more interesting to do with my time.

Í'm with ala sux on this one. I severely injured a right hand finger w a knife so its hard to type so ill have to be brief. I know the sikh temple ala sux mentioned where fights break out often its at the corner of st. clair at old weston kitty-corner from the peter pan k convenience store and across from where the old dashmesh conveinience store was (jerk restaurant also - he'll know) I'm only slightly north from there. Sikh violence however is much worse in BCjust google khalistan separatism violence bc ontario national post sorry Mr. Spencer you really ought to get an education about sikh terrorism in india and in Canada and their inability and UNWILLINGNESS to integrate into canadian society and their whining about their daggers kirpans in schools and courts and their whining about their turbans refusing to wear helmets in traffic and on the job etc. they are not ideal citizens in Canada they are a pain in the ass and don't belong here.

Not saying they deserved the violence in wisconsin but they are just another third world group who gripe and moan about special accomodation for their "culture" who we could do without, they do nothing to defend OUR culture (big hairy deal a few fought in ww 2) when it is under attack all they care about is THEIRS!! flame away I know you will, but its the truth, im with ala on this one, hes right, the biggest terror attack on canada was done by SIKHS! and they never apologized for it!

The Muslim Council of Britain have issued a press release expressing horror at the killing of these Sikhs in the U.S and offering their ingratiating condolences. More taqiyya with a forked tounge I suspect.

If the description by "j_not_a" is accurate, I would bet my entire savings account that Sikhism does have Islamic roots in one sense or another by which the Islamic mentality has come to infect it with any, or most, or all of its bad cultural habits (necessarily including its apparent penchant for violence). And, as Spencer has noted elsewhere (viz., with regard to Ahmadis who are simultaneously oppressed by Muslims and often tend to reflexively defend Islam), it wouldn't be the first time a group oppressed by Muslims has Islamish tendencies.

Thank you for proving my points as a local near Weston and St Clair.

Toronto is the most Racist city on Earth with so many self-segragated enclaves that parachuted into canada and brought their hatred-Baggage with them for all the other Minorities they hate by race, faith, culture, past wars, language, colour, regions and so on as they play the Victim to get Federal hand-outs or Welfare as "refugees".
Ontario's massive debt as a Welfare State is now based on importing career Victims amd welfare cases that makes the Public Unions happy , but, we can no longer care for the 7'000'000'000 people outside of canada that expect canada to provide Social Services in 145 languages and Minority Ghetto Government Housing where children are now having children in the generational Welfare system .

My point now is that if we give each minority a Special-Dispensation from the Laws of canada to riot, cheat welfare, sell drugs, fund Terrorism, attack the Police, burn flags and yell death threats at Canadians.....then why have any Laws because at the rate that Shariah law is spreading in Toronto the islamic-supremacy Brown Shirts
will be enbaled to go Jihad and slaughter more Civilians than the Sikh's did in the 1980's.

Pardon me if I'm not all mushy when a Sikh doesn't want to kill me, that doesn't ,mean that Sikhism is to be trusted outside of india because while most Faiths do want global Domination .....many are not doing it for the betterment of all Humans but to oppress them with one law and one way of thinking like islam teaches.

I recall an interesting experience I had, a few months after 911, some time in the spring of 2002. My friend had driven me to a large shopping mall and parked in front of the largest retail store there. As I got out to stretch my legs in the warm spring weather while my friend was still retrieving stuff from his back seat, I noticed two bearded men in turbans getting out of a much nicer newer small car. I'm clearly white, and I was in addition wearing a baseball cap, which makes a white person seem even whiter and more American. I'll never forget the look of the one Sikh who was looking at me: a sly level-lidded knowing look that cut like daggers, perhaps essentially telegraphing with those glittering black eyes something along the lines of: "Ah, you American, you probably look at me and immediately stereotype me as a foreigner, perhaps a Muslim, you Americans and your 911, you think you own the patent on human tragedy and suffering, well our people have known this for centuries while you live in your cushy white suburbia..." blah blah blah.

I never get looks like that from Filipinos, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, or -- for that matter -- non-Sikh non-Muslim Indians.

In these dark days for the Sikh community in the U.S. and around the world, we stand in solidarity with them.
.................................

Excellent post, Robert.

"In these dark days for the Sikh community in the U.S. and around the world, we stand in solidarity with them."

I agree, but, lets see how foregiving they are as canadian's are towards them even after Sikh Terrorists slaughtered 240 canadians( Bomb planted on a 747 from canada to India) while the biggest % of them were CHILDREN.
Lets see if Sikhism doesn't teach revenge and anger to get even or carry the hatred though several generations to poison their children.
Seems that slaughtering non-Sikh children was a big deal to those Sikh Terrorists in canada, so lets also hear these Sikh's remind their followers about the canadian mass-slaughter where Sikh's were never attack from "backlash".

The truth about the Sikhs is that there are 2 major factions there. The Khalistanis, who j_n_a referred to, are a separatist movement that wants to tear up a major chunk of India - including Delhi - and incorporate it in a new Sikh country of theirs called Khalistan. I've seen maps of their claims - Punjab itself is only 60% Sikh, but this Khalistan map includes large portions of neighboring states, and if that ever became a reality, Sikhs would be something like 20-30% of the population, the remainder being Hindus. Hardly a basis on which to claim a separate homeland, unless they plan to do an ethnic cleansing of Hindus. Which incidentally, they tried in Punjab in the 80s. The other group are those who have nothing against Punjab being a part of India, or have happily assimilated in other countries and don't have any such political ambitions.

The terrorist incident that ala sux referred to - the one that Canada regards as its worst terrorist incident - was in 1984 when an Air India passenger plane from Toronto to London was blown up west of Ireland. This was one that was done by the same Khalistan group, following the elections in India following the assassination of Indira Gandhi and before that, the army operation in the Golden Temple. In the 80s, the Khalistan movement had a strong support in the Punjab as a result of Indira Gandhi trying to manipulate events so that her party could retain power in that state (since everything to her was a political calculation). The result was a whole bunch of Khalistani terrorists taking over the Golden Temple, and committing terror acts throughout the Punjab until it first had central rule, and then army rule before that operation.

Since then, in the 90s, after the Sikhs had free and fair elections in the Punjab, support for terrorism went down. After a Sikh by the name of Manmohan Singh - a noted economist - became India's prime minister, that pretty much dampened the support that Sikhs had for Khalistan, and support for that movement fell. Today, it's support is mainly amongst the fringes.

The strange thing about the Khalistan movement - while they have claims on large parts of India, including parts that are not even Sikh, they have no claims on any parts of Pakistan, which were integral parts of Sikh history. Guru Nanak's birthplace, which is in Pakistan, is not in their list. There was only one Sikh kingdom in history - that of Ranjit Singh, and his empire included Kashmir and went all the way right up to the Khyber Pass, and his capital was Lahore. None of these places are claimed by this movement. If they are really about Sikh pride & all that, shouldn't they be claiming historical Sikh places like Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Peshawar, Multan, Rawalpindi, Jamrud, et al?

So Ala Sux & j_n_a are partly right - among the Sikhs, there is one faction of anti-Indian Sikhs who do the things they've witnessed. The other Sikhs are more often then not happy w/ the way things are in both countries. I don't know about Canada, but in the US, the Sikhs I've seen do integrate w/ society, just like other Indians, which is not true about the Khalistani guys.

Back to this story - since the motives of the shooter are unknown, it's unknown whether he was randomly aiming @ Sikhs, had a specific enemy, or doing a Jihad. We'll never know. But 2 things I detest - one is trying to exploit this to spread the word against Islamophobia. The other is to use this to continue the usual crusade against the 2nd amendment. Like many others, I just loathe people exploiting such events to promote their hobbyhorses.
