Denmark: "Anti-radicalism" conference to feature framer of Pakistan's blasphemy laws

Yet again showing the absurd avidity of so many non-Muslims in West to find and feature "moderate Muslims," and the corners they paint themselves into when they accept at face value the self-descriptions of all too many "moderates."

"Minister cancels appearance at anti-radicalism conference," by Peter Stanners in the Copenhagen Post, September 6 (thanks to David):

The minister for integration and social affairs, Karen Hækkerup (Socialdemokraterne), has pulled out of a conference on religious radicalism next week after she discovered that one of the speakers helped fashion Pakistan’s highly controversial anti-blasphemy laws.

The conference’s organisers, the Danish Ethnic Youth Council, had invited the scholar Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri, leader of the Muslim organisation Minhaj-ul-Quran, to speak on tackling religious radicalisation. The head of the domestic intelligence agency PET, Jakob Scharf, was also invited.

While ul-Qadri is best known for declaring a fatwa, or religious ruling, against terrorism, he also worked as a legal adviser to the Pakistani government in the shaping of anti-blasphemy laws that were recently used to arrest a mentally-challenged girl for allegedly burning the Koran.

This morning, Hækkerup announced that had she would not have agreed to speak at the Conference for Political and Religious Radicalism, which is being held at Copenhagen Business School on September 11, if she had known that ul-Qadri was also planning on attending.

“I am very angry at being connected with something that is so contrary to my views,” Hækkerup told Ritzau. “Politically, I see no reason to take part in the debate. I think it is deplorable that he is coming.”

On the conference's event page, the Danish Ethnic Youth Council confirmed that Hækkerup had cancelled.

Jaleh Tavakoli, a blogger for Jyllands-Posten newspaper and member of City Council, wrote on Sunday that the only reason that ul-Qadri would be a partner in the fight against religious radicalism, is his 2010 fatwa against terrorism.

“The leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran, who is expected to speak at the conference in Copenhagen, is a proponent of, and has actively participated in, the process of Islamisation that lead to the type of legislation that the girl is being charged under,” Tavakoli wrote. “Simply put, he has been a legal adviser in connection with [Pakistan's] establishing of Sharia law and blasphemy laws which could mean death for many Christians, atheists and Muslims.”

Ul-Qadri is on a six-day tour of Denmark that includes speaking at the European Peace Conference at Tivoli Congress Center on Sunday. He was nominated for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize and has taken a prominent stance against the use of the Koran to justify terrorism.

I believe it shows something else, as well. Even many people who have some recognition of the threat of violent Jihad often completely miss—or fail to consider at all—what Jihad *is for*.

Sure—Jihadists love terrorizing and murdering Infidels, but that is just a means to an end for them, and that end is *the imposition of Shari'ah*—which includes the imposition of Blasphemy laws, just like those in Pakistan.

Well, good for Karen Hækkerup. But how many other attendees will get a clue?

This sort of thing is very, very common—but often seems impenetrable to those in the West, for some reason. In reality, it's not that complicated.

Since in Muslim countries one can never really have enough Islam, you have the situation where even the very worst Shari'ah states—such as Saudi Arabia and Somalia—are considered "insufficiently Islamic" by some pious believers, who are thus always ready to wage Jihad against the authorities.

Representatives of these regimes are thus always ready to condemn *this* terrorism, but not its basic tenets or ends.

And that's why you end up with Orwellian situations like the one above.

Of course, this "Fatwa against terrorism" only means terrorism against the Pakistani regime...

Yes, indeed. This last pretty much sums it up. Now more Westerners need to realize this.

Here is the Ethnic Youth Council's FB page:

They announce that the minister has pulled out of the conference, but somehow they forget to explain why. Instead there's a lot about "misinterpretation and misuse of islam" etc etc.

The organizers do - perhaps inadvertently - confirm that the radical and intolerant islamic groups are very active among youths on the Muslim Street in Denmark.

"The minister for integration and social affairs, Karen Hækkerup (Socialdemokraterne), has pulled out of a conference on religious radicalism next week after she discovered that one of the speakers helped fashion Pakistan’s highly controversial anti-blasphemy laws."

Arf arf arf arf arf

"ETHNIC YOUTH COUNCIL", is that the new term for HITLER YOUTH?

The literal translation would be "New-Dane Youth Council". And the accurate translation would be "Sugar-coated Muslim Area of the Youth Council"; why they did not include "Islamic" or "Muslim" in the title is beyond me.

that would be islamophobia now!!!
M

"Well, good for Karen Hækkerup."

Not good. She should attend and make known her point of view. She's admitting defeat by cancelling.

"He was nominated for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize and has taken a prominent stance against the use of the Koran to justify terrorism."

Nobel invented dynamite, and his prize is called "Peace": a fitting honor for a Stealth Muslim.

Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadr - wrote a 600 page fatwa against terrorism - trying to read through all of that - might hold off the attacks for a while!

The fact that it took 600 pages to deter people from engaging in terrorism [read for the establishment of the Islamic state] - is telling in itself.

He helped to develop the anti-blasphemy laws... [street cred in Islamic terms]

The anti-terrorism fatwa argument must include no doubt that the perfect Islamic state - can be achieved through political means - and, and only if this fails - Islamic jihad /terrorism is permitted!

::

It was a conscientious objection by the Danish politician - usually when a prominent Muslim indicates that he doesn't support terrorism - then anything they say is acceptable. But here are the blasphemy laws in Pakistan - he helped formulate - which have convicted Christians and Muslims [who support human rights] - on the flimsiest of trumped-up evidence.

The mentally disabled Christian girl up on the charge of blasphemy - serves the purpose of highlighting Islamic law - and its inequities.

But many in the west are voicing similar objections about Muslim groups - who claim they don't support terrorism - but advocate for laws which would restrict rights and freedoms - just as they do in Pakistan.

Idiotic.

This is the Paki framer of blasphemy laws and a jihadist of the first order.

Al Qadri is the guy who threatened Geert Wilders with 'destruction' for opposing Islam.

Such people should not even get a visa to travel.

His 600 page bogus fartwa was as phoney as his peace overtures, which are -you guessed it- a call for submission.

I think it was the Ahmadiyya leader Mirza Masroor Ahmad who threatened Wilders?

Since Islam is obviously a (Satanic) murder cult, and is under the protection of you know who, special action is needed to defeat it. Pray to God for assistance and ask for removal of the protection, and then speak the truth about Islam to your friends and acquaintances who will listen. Maybe they will be more likely to hear and understand. Particularly forward beheading and stoning and crucifixion videos of Muslim apostates, etc. to your undecided or low information contacts and mainstream media reporters, explain taquiyya to them. They will eventually come around to the obvious truth if they aren't complicit. Don't give up trying. Communicate widely - beyond the choir. Do something. Work to clean up our culture. Note it's the same evilmongers supporting all the crap.
