Robert's garb tonight reminds me of something else.

Because they only knew the Nile, the earliest Egyptians simply took it for granted that being a river meant flowing north (like the Nile). When they eventually found out about the Tigris (which flows south), some of the Egyptians referred to it as "that crazy upside-down river that in flowing downstream flows upstream." The early Egyptians had never experienced upstream apart from south, so in their minds south and upstream were not two qualities, but a single indivisible reality whose two aspects they never dreamed could possibly be apart. So when they encountered the Tigris, they felt that in flowing south, it simply had to be flowing upstream, even though they could see with their own eyes that it was in fact flowing downstream. Similarly, one hears occasionally that some of the American Indians, when they first saw a conquistador on horseback, assumed the man and horse were a single being, a sort of centaur, because the Indians in question had never seen a horse on its own.

And thus the assumption we all have that Robert Spencer wears a suit in the shower, to bed, etc. And thus also the feeling, on finding Spencer not wearing a suit, that one is seeing a fresh and still living example of a horrific vivisection. But then we are greatly relieved that it clearly causes him no pain whatsoever, and we begin to consider that perhaps he was not born in a suit.

I think you need to get yours and Pamela's readers,maybe BNI's, and any other bloggers interested to gather funds and donations and go after the billboards on the major highways in nice places like Georgia, Tennessee,Kentucky anywhere possible.. and bumper stickers are fun to cause you can apply them EVERYWHERE.. It's well past time to stand up to these genocidal lunatics.. This matter needs pushed into the open where it needs to be discussed now, not shunned as so called Islamophobic or hate speech....
