Iran vows to "track down" those who made Muhammad video

At this point, Obama should be affirming the freedom of speech and vowing to protect the Americans who were involved in this project. Instead...he jailed one and will probably push for restrictions on the freedom of speech. Dubai: Iran’s government will “track down” those responsible for making an amateurish film clip mocking the Prophet Mohammad, a senior official said, Iranian media reported on Monday.
The video made in California and posted on YouTube portrayed the Prophet Mohammad as a womaniser and a fool. It has ignited a week of violent protests across the Muslim world.

“The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran condemns … this inappropriate and offensive action,” First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi said, according to the Mehr news agency.

“Certainly it will search for, track, and pursue this guilty person who … has insulted 1.5 billion Muslims in the world.”

The Islamic Republic’s founder, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, condemned to death the Indian-born British novelist Salman Rushdie in 1989 for his novel The Satanic Verses, saying its depiction of the Prophet Mohammad was blasphemous.

Iranian officials have demanded that the United States apologise to Muslims for the movie, saying it is only the latest in a series of Western insults aimed at Islam’s holy figures.

Rahimi did not give details on how Iran would pursue the makers of the film in his remarks, which the Iranian Students’ News Agency said he had made at a cabinet meeting on Sunday....

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, a Coptic Christian widely linked to the film in media reports, was voluntarily questioned on Saturday by US authorities investigating possible violations of his probation for a bank fraud conviction....

This is 'Causus Belli', an act of war against countries that uphold free speech as the utmost individual liberty, human right, after life itself-and they are explicitly talking about the assassination of this guy, just like they do with Salman Rushdie-.

Also, like a guy has been saying here for the past week, all of us non-muslims need to unite, we all have to create cartoons, films, videogames... etc. mocking the pedophile, rapist, murderous psychopath known as Pedohammed. Are they gonna call for the murder of 6.5+ billion people? we need to stand up for free speech, freedom, democracy and individual liberties!.

We've been portraying Muhammad as a womaniser, a pedophile, a murderer etc. for a long long time. It has never triggered these kind of reactions. Only when we portray him as a FOOL, when we start mocking him, that muslims react this way.

One might even think this administration would hand them over!!

The film shown is only a trailer - but in it - it shows the Christian Copts being attacked - burnt out - by robe wearing Salafists and uniformed Egyptian police arriving only to take a position and watch -

That's really "disgusting and reprehensible" as Hillary Clinton put it.

How is making a movie a violation of a probation for bank fraud? I don't condone the fraud, and honestly, I agree that he may be actually an agent provocateur doing this just to get Muslim reactions up and to discredit those like us who have genuine concerns about the role of Muslims throughout the world.

But how is this even a crime that adds up in his rap sheet?

Imagine what might happen if someone like Allen West was POTUS...

I wouldn't put it past someone like West to publicly announce that the film - artistically awful though it be, alas - had been personally viewed by him in the company of the film-makers and actors, all of whom would now be exceedingly well protected in order to ensure that the First Amendment continued to apply on American soil; and that any Iranian Muslim or other Muslim who attempted to carry out Iran's orders against persons on the soil and under the protection of the United States would do so on peril of their lives.
