I am afraid this is not good. The leftist Islam-lovers are now going to have fun time attacking the US as a nation, its defence forces, and its government. Muslims will use this as an opportunity to fool the govt into allowing more infiltrators in.

Then there are the Sikhs, for whom keeping the beard is a far more serious issue than the Muslims. They will all side with the Muslims now.

This may look like a 'win' over a jehadi, but the anti-Islam movement is going to have to deal with major opposition, and will have new enemies. This military judge should simply have ignored Hassan's beard and concentrated on more serious charges.

If this guy has his Islamic beard shaved off by force or not is not as important as the fact that all the while when he commited all those murderous acts of evil he yelled out "Allahu Akbar." I think he did have a beard on the day of the massacre -- a beard without a moustache (as is prescribed, so the OCD fuqaha have determined, by Mohammed). If I am correct, then only his moustache should be shaved -- for the Abraham Lincoln /Amish look was what witnesses would have seen; not a clean-shaven face.

Why should our military personnel have to shave this murderous clown before each court appearance? The best approach would be a treatment, possibly chemical, that inhibits the growth for the duration of the trial.

BTW, my understanding is that convicted military personnel such as Hasan remain under military jurisdiction and discipline until the end of their sentence. So, no beards ever again. And when they hand him his Quran do it without wearing gloves.

On his level, I can understand the outrage that Colonel Gross (who is likely both an officer and a gentleman) feels about this turd's thumbing his muslim nose at the colonel's court. That said, perhaps the colonel would do well to consider the REAL crime committed here--which cries out for justice--rather than run down this side-alley beard-thing to delay the proceedings and detract from the heinous main issue.

Count me as one who thinks that Nidal Hasan should've been allowed to keep his whiskers. Now, every America-hating Leftist dog will be barking that a mistrial has occurred, and this schmo should be allowed to walk because of it. Worse, he'll be turned into some kind of MultiCultie PeeCee martyr.

I would have absolutely no problem with Nidal Hasan going to the gurney with a beard down to his navel. Better yet, let it grow down to his feet.
