Pakistan: Armed Muslims attack Christians, collect jizya from Christian merchants

Muslim spokesmen in the West routinely claim that this verse has no applicability in the modern world. They're lying.

Karachi (Agenzia Fides) - The young Christian Faisal Masih was killed two days ago in shots fired in the attack of an Islamic extremist group in the Christian suburb of Essa Nagri, on the outskirts of Karachi. This is confirmed by Fr. Mario Rodrigues, a priest in Karachi and Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Pakistan. As he explains to Fides, in the area, densely populated, there are about 50,000 Christians, in conditions of extreme poverty and lack of basic services. In the suburb of Essa Nagri there are about 15 churches of various denominations and various NGOs working with projects of education, social and economic support to the community. Among these, the NGO "Mission and Action for Social Services" (MASS), reported to Fides the latest attack against the community, already in past months subject to terrible violence and abuse (see Fides 27/3 and 14/1/2012). After the attack, which occurred on the night of August 29, a crowd of Christians staged a peaceful protest, but the police intervened to disperse the protesters, firing tear gas and seriously injuring Pastor Cornelius and another young Christian man, Shahzad Riaz, both in hospital.
As stated by MASS, "the police, instead of arresting the perpetrators of the attack, arrested dozens of Christian demonstrators." In Essa Nagri Christians are harassed by criminal gangs and Islamic terrorist groups of ethnic Pashtuns: armed to the teeth, the militants enter the area to collect the "Jizya" (the tax imposed, according to the sharia, on the non-Muslim minorities), and extort money from the Christian merchants. MASS activists have been denouncing for a long time continuous robberies, violence and abuses committed under the cover of some Police officials. Militants raid houses, steal and abuse women and children for fun. The local population is terrorized and residents, exasperated, have decided to form their militia of security to defend themselves. Allah's word (Quran) is valid FOR ALL TIME!!

If 9:29 or any verse is no longer in use, then the Quran is not for all time and becomes a history book...and not a very good one at that...It destroys Islam because there is no good reason anyone should follow the directions in a history book...The Quran has to be good forever, Islam depends on it...Of course taqiyya is not a crime against Allah, so it is a blessing to tell kuffar that verses like 9:29, 9:5 8:12 and others refer to specific events and don't apply today, while knowing full well those are presidents, to be used for all time, until kuffar are no more and all is for Allah...

These barbarians may be radical, in the sense that they go to the root of Islam, but they can't be called extremists for following the commandments of Mo and Allah, aka Satan.

It's a good thing the imams will issue fatwas against these thugs. Everyone knows jitza applied only in Mo's day!

Once the repetition, the abrogated verses, and the verses which applied only in Mo's day are removed from the Koran, little is left but the silliness of the sun setting in a muddy pool. Oh, and the stuff about plowing women even if they're riding a camel.

A violent, perverted, fascist Muslim mob without an imam is just another mob.

Don't waste your time worrying about the Muslim mob, or reforming Islam, or about Iran, or hoping the Arab Spring solves everything. Its the imam. The imam is the little evil charlatan the world lives in terror from.

Start in the still non-Islamic border nations: Sue and bankrupt the imam when he threatens people for leaving Islam. Jail the imam when he incites violence. Isolate the imam when he demeans non-Muslims with words like kufr, or calls them dirty, or apes and pigs. Send the imam packing if he is not a "citizen" of the country he spreads his evil.
