Pakistan: Christians hold fake funeral to highlight their fears of reprisal over blasphemy case

Dozens of Christians participated in a fake funeral procession on Friday, in protest of what they called the city government’s apathy towards them.
They demanded that the government provide alternative land to those who left their homes in Mehrabadia in fear after a young Christian girl from the area was arrested on accusations of blasphemy.

Joint Christian Action Committee (JCAC) President Akram Waqar Gill lay still in a coffin and was carried from Sector G-8 to the National Press Club in F-6, where the procession then blocked the main road. They also dug a grave nearby for the ‘deceased’.

The protesters demanded that Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Farkhand Iqbal or some other government representative give them proper guarantees of temporarily allotting them alternative land somewhere in the city. However, no one from the civic body showed up to hold negotiations with Gill or other leaders.

Later, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Ali convinced the protesters to disperse and suggested they meet the CDA chairman and present their demands to him. The protesters dispersed after blocking the road and staying at the site for over two hours.

“We will not go back to Mehrabadia. We fear another episode could happen and it would be more brutal,” said Danial Masih, who participated in the ‘funeral’.

Earlier, residents of Sector G-9/4 stopped CDA excavators from levelling the ground at the site where some displaced Christian cut trees earlier this week to set up temporary tents. The residents were opposed to the establishment of a Christian settlement in the area, fearing it could create a “nuisance” for them....

The report said that the initial claim by the local Christian community said 120 families had been displaced. However, two days later, the number shot up to 800 when they submitted their demands before the CDA chairman on Wednesday.

The final outcome of the Arab Spring will not be known for years, perhaps decades, but in the meantime Christian communities across the Middle East continue to wither.

World news reports have proven that Muslims are intolerable of those outside their religious communities. Many labeled as infidels are often beaten or put to death. Believers in cultural diversity should use whatever method necessary to end the Muslim cult. Its practice is dangerous and a threat to peace loving people.

A few decades ago, an Indian Muslim author presented a very important insight into the mindset of Muslims. I have quoted him below - the quote is slightly long, but certainly very insightful both in the Indian context and more importantly, what is happening in much of Europe.

The mindset simply put is this - Muslims consider it an injustice to have to live in Non-Muslim countries and by extension to live with Infidels.

Unsurprisingly, this explains such things as:
- creation of 751 mainly muslim no go zones in France
- how 49M non-muslims have disappeared from Bangladesh
- why Hindus and Christians are constantly raped, kidnapped and forcibly converted in Pakistan
- why Malmo and Bradford have increasingly become Muslim only
- why Muslims in Germany want to live exclusively with Muslim neighbors

The mindset is explained below...

[All Muslim leaders unanimously complain that injustice is done to Muslims in India. However, they have a strange definition of injustice. They suggest, indirectly no doubt, that the very fact that India has a Hindu majority is in itself a great injustice to Muslims.

How else can one understand the programme of the Mashawarat which demands sovereign rights for the Muslim community? In their own way, Muslim leaders are continuously trying to remove this injustice.

One of the methods of ensuring justice is to claim that Pakistani infiltrators in Assam are not Pakistani at all. A second method is to demand the granting of Indian citizenship to those Pakistanis who are illegal residents of Bihar, West Bengal and some other states of India. A third method is to oppose family planning.

A professor from Aligarh University was quite frank about this. He said: "Hindus cannot keep us permanently in a minority. Remember the history of Canada? How did the question of Quebec arise?

Those citizens of Quebec who are of English origin are Protestants and they practise family planning. But those who are of French origin are Catholics who never planned their families nor are doing so even today. As a result, the number of French-speaking Catholics in Quebec has increased in relation to the number of English-speaking Protestants. Now the French-speaking Catholics have started protecting their own rights and interests. We shall follow the same example. If not today, fifty years hence; if not fifty, a hundred years hence. This country will eventually be swept by an Islamic tide." The professor was quite forthright in expressing his views.

There are other leaders of Indian Muslims who say the same thing although they couch it in clever phrases. They say, "Our religion does not permit family planning. Grant us the freedom to practise our religion"

I cannot see any cause for alarm in Pakistan. The Christians are overreacting. It is well established that Islam is a religion of Peace. You want proof ? It is a widespread practice in all of the 57 nations of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, for Muslims to send Christmas cards to their Christian neighbours..... and chocolate eggs at Easter...... oops sorry.... and of course Hot Cross buns.
