Where exactly did one of the hosts say anything about Muslims? I believe he said something about the "prophet" Mohammad... in which case he was only talking about ONE Muslim. Is subtle spin like this an attempt to work the racially-paranoid public into a frenzy before they've even had a chance to read the whole article?

It is still hard for me to believe my eyes and ears that Islamists can fight against our freedom at this time in this country. This should have never happened in the free world especially after 9/11. Unfortunately, I was one of those sleeping in the face of obvious threat from these SAVAGES. If Obama, the traitor wins again in November, which is very possible, we are done.

We hear calls from any in the Islamic world that my country needs to show more respect for Islam. I reply, how can I, and numerous others of my fellow citizens, who are Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, Buddhists, Hindus, evolutionary materialists, pantheists, and others, show more respect short of conversion to a faith of whose truth we remain unconvinced? Which of our presidents, in the face of strong provocation and attacks by those who claim to act in the name of Islam, have responded with a declaration of war against the whole religion? Which claims of mass attacks on Muslim communities in my country have ever been substantiated?
What measures has my country's government taken to deny our Muslim citizens, residents, and sojourners civil rights? Indeed, Pres. Bush spoke of Islam as a "religion of peace" in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks to indicate his full confidence in the loyalty of our Muslim citizens and his desire to maintain normal relations with Islamic states, even while seeking to bring the actual attackers to justice.

In respectful reply to the calls by the OIC for an international blasphemy law, the United States makes a counter-proposal:

--the 'Ulema of Islam publicly declare, that in the interests of world peace, they will urge their followers to wage jihad only by reason and word. If this is done, I promise that law enforcement in my country will continue to offer protection to any and all Muslims who live peaceably and lawfully in our land, whether citizen, resident, or sojourner.

--Islamic states take positive steps to ensure the fair treatment of non-Muslim minorities in their midst; and acknowledge past wrongs committed against them. Since my own youth, my country has engaged in a great deal of soul-searching over the wrongs done to its minority communities since the founding of our nation to the present. Hence, we call on the entire Dar-ul-Islam to engage in a similar project, including examination of the Armenian and Assyrian horrors (which some truly respectable and honorable Turkish scholars have already begun) and the destruction of the millennia-old Mizrahi Jewish communities of the Middle East since 1948. We commend the government of Pakistan in its recent release of Pakistani Christians wrongly accused of blasphemy; and its arrest of an imam who sought to bring false blasphemy charges against a Down's syndrome girl in order to drive out a small Christian community.

--To the Islamic Republic of Iran, we note that you received an apology from President Carter for our country's post-WWII actions which were designed to prevent the alienation of southern Azerbaijan and Kordestan from Iran and their incorporation into the now-defunct Soviet Union. We continue to keep the door for dialogue and a new beginning open. It is up to Iran to walk through it.

--Just as the United States respects the right of Muslim preachers to practice Da'wa in the United States, so should Muslim states recognize the right of adherents of non-Islamic religions to proselytize in their midst, and the right of conversion for all of their citizens; including conversion out of Islam.

--Since the government of Sa'udi Arabia has long enjoyed good relations with a number of Christian-majority states, I call on it to recognize that there is no longer a Byzantine Empire of Heraclius or Zoroastrian Sassanid power bent on destroying their faith at its inception, and declare that the Covenant of 'Umar, which forbids the open practice of non-Muslim religions in Arabia, to be at an end.

--For the sake of Middle Eastern peace, I note that while the plight of the Falastin Arab refugees and their offspring down to the third and fourth generation are often used as pretexts for anti-American agitation and violence in Arab countries; I urge the Arab League to note that my country has given passport-holding, voting-rights, property-rights, public office-eligible citizenship to more victims of an-Nakhbar and their descendants than any seven of your member states combined, and take immediate steps for the naturalization of those Falastin Arabs and their descendants in their countries of residence. To the Palestinian Authority, I say that if proposed measures to deny citizenship to families originally from pre-1967 Israel are carried out, you may consider any aid from my country at an end.

--In the meantime, my government will continue to honor the oath taken by all of its office bearers to uphold its own Constitution, including the First Amendment, which protects free exercise of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of peaceable assembly. Should proposals for an international blasphemy law be brought before the UN, I have already instructed our ambassador to employ our country's veto power.

All this brouhaha over insults is a sign of insecurity. It also is a sign that the popular embrace of the counter-jihad and its ideas is being noticed by many Muslims and is getting under their skin.
Note that MPAC recently paid tribute to a slew of counter-jihadists by denigrating their academic credentials, as though you need a degree to diss Ahmedinejad.

I am a former resident of Elk Grove, California, a few miles south of Sacramento. I used to listen to Armstrong and Getty from time to time, and considered them to be good radio hosts, not afraid to discuss controversial issues. But I am not surprised that the station is getting weak - kneed and fearful of attracting unwelcome attention from the Islamists and their lefty dhimmi dupes....this is, unfortunately, a nation - wide phenomenon...

I hope and pray that enough voters in this country wake up by election day...

The same thing happened to Fred Grandy of Love Boat fame when he was fired last year from WMAL in the DC area. CAIR was squarely behind that dismissal.

They are on the air again now - they explained it was not about what was said on the air. They were off the air due to "an internal company thing that they can't talk about."

Actually, how we are force by polical correctness is quite similar to how the democrats and Obama administration think we should handle Isam. If your child throws a temper tantrum. One fundamental flaw in the debate is the assumption that Allah is the God of the Bible.
While it's true that Arabic Christians translate the God of the Bible as Allah, this Allah is NOT the same as the Allah in the Qur'an.
The personalities of these 2 Allahs are not the same, therefore they cannot represent the same entity.

The problem could be solved if the Arabic Christians reprinted their Bibles, using an alternate Arabic word for God of the Bible. This would clearly declare the difference.

This guy is obviously misinformed and this statement would have been shredded had I been involved in the argument.

Islam demands that all followers believe in the Quran and take it literally. Why else would there still be beheadings, Jihad and all the other nasty things that come with Islam? You could cite numerous well scholared Imam's in Islam that cite to that effect.

You have also forgotten to mention Abrogation of the Quran when he started speaking the peaceful verses of the Quran. There is only one sect of Islam that follows the peaceful verses and they are the Ahmiddiyya Muslims. They are more tolerant and peaceful than the rest and generally follow the Meccan verses. But even so, these people can be twisted to follow the Median verses with enough "persuasion" from other followers. This sect is also a very tiny minority of the whole population of Islam (something like 2% or less) and are heavily persecuted in places like Pakistan, Indonesia, etc.
