Especially since it now comes to light that she was framed by an Imam who wanted to force Christian families to move away from the Mosque's neighborhood:

And to see that this is a "bipartisan group" of senators is heartening, as well. I wish there were more than six lawmakers involved, but it's a start.

How come that moron McCain has not signed onto this letter? He supported U.S invention on the side of the Muslim Brotherhood in both Libya and Syria but has said nothing about this incident. Frankly any Christian senator that doesn't sign onto this letter is a disgrace. No one has asked either presidential why aid is given to any country that persecutes or does not protect Christians and Jews from religious persecutions .

The persecuted Christians in Pakistan and throughout the Muslim world are not victims and certainly not innocent. If truth is still worth anything nowadays, the civilised West should learn that the greatest crime in Islam is not murder or even genocide, but the rejection of Allah and Mohamed as his messenger.

If anything demonstrates why islam is NOT compatible with European/American values this does. For those moslems who make the claim the American founding documents reflect islamic sharia law, err on two points. Islam did not influence American founding fathers. Second, our Constitution and Declaration of Independence are not our 'religion'.
This is a handicapped child who, most likely, does not know or can understand what she has done. To even consider jailing her, let alone killing her for 'insulting islam' is beyond the pale of reason. The 10th 'most beautiful name' of allah is 'the proud'; the 23rd- the degrading. These are not characteristics which recommend him to non-moslems.

It took this long for 6 Senators to address 1 blasphemy charge after all these centuries of barbaric events and unjust charges?

At this rate the subjugation of non-Muslims wont take more than 10 or 15 more years. Washington D.C. and the pentagon better wake-up pretty soon or it really will be too late.

But it is one baby step in the right direction.

I see absolutely no need for any Senators to come to the rescue of poor little Rimsha. I am quiet sure that as I write CAIR is hastening to her defence. We all know how this great magnanimous organisation defends the weak and encourages all good Muslims to integrate into the American way of life.

OK: we have Senators Robert Menendez, Roy Blunt, Ben Cardin, Mark Kirk, Bob Casey, and Mike Johanns at least taking notice of Rimsha's case. It is a step in the right direction.

Send them a letter of intelligent appreciation...and perhaps try to include a few sharp little nuggets of information. They need to know that this iniquitous Blasphemy Law is Sharia; that it, and the vicious injustice that is being inflicted on this poor little helpless girl and upon her entire community, with malice aforethought, is Islam, Islam, Islam in action. Urge them to read Rev Mark Durie's book on dhimmitude - 'The Third Choice: Islam, Dhimmitude, and Freedom" and explain that the Christians and Hindus in Pakistan are de facto dhimmis; subject to calculated and sacralised program of humiliation, degradation and constant physical peril.

And as for all the *other* Senators, and Congressmen and women who have *not* spoken up, and who have *not* written to the Pakistani Prime Minister: *they* need to be asked why, pray, they have chosen to remain silent. Could they not speak up on behalf of this poor little girl, and her family, and community?

All those Senators and Congresspersons who claim to be practising Christians - *especially* any who claim to be practising *Catholics*, given that Rimsha Masih is Catholic - should be writing very sharp letters indeed to the government of Pakistan. demanding that Rimsha be declared innocent, and set free at once; and they should be thinking about what practical ways can be found, to inflict Consequences upon Pakistan for its continual and flagrant abuses of the human rights of vulnerable non-Muslim minorities. A major cut in 'aid' to Pakistan, for example, would be in order.
