Slain ambassador to Libya aided the jihadists who later murdered him

With this revelation, the late ambassador has become the symbol of what U.S. foreign policy is doing vis-a-vis the global jihad, and of what ultimately will be the outcome for the U.S. if this continues.

"Slain Ambassador Chris Stevens Slipped Into Libya on a Cargo Ship During Revolution," by Amy Bingham for ABC OTUS News, September 12:

During the early days of the Libyans' fight to overthrow Moammar Gadhafi, Christopher Stevens wrangled a ride on a Greek cargo ship and sailed into the rebels' stronghold city of Benghazi. He arrived at a time when the crackle of gunfire could be heard each night.

Stevens and his team didn't even have a place to stay, but found space in a hotel briefly, moving out after a car bomb went off in the parking lot, according to his own account in State Magazine last year.

Stevens, whose diplomatic foothold were a couple of battered tables, was on literally on the rebels' side while the revolution was at its most vulnerable and in danger of being crushed by Gadhafi's troops who were moving on the city. The threat was pushed back at the last minute by the intervention of NATO planes which began bombing Gadhafi's tanks and troops.

Stevens, who was elevated to ambassador four months ago, was killed Tuesday by militants in Gadhafi who stormed the Benghazi consulate.

Stevens "will be remembered as a hero by many nations," his boss, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, said this morning. "He risked his life to stop a tyrant then gave his life trying to help build a better Libya. The world needs more Chris Stevenses."...

And it will surely get them.

In a State Department video introducing Stevens as the new ambassador to Libya last May, Stevens says he "quickly grew to love this part of the world" during his time in the Peace Corps and since joining the Foreign Service "spent almost my entire career in the Middle East and Africa."

He says in the video that he "was thrilled to watch the Libyan people stand up and demand their rights" during the 2011 revolution, which ousted Gadhafi.

At his Senate confirmation hearing in March, Stevens said, "It will be an extraordinary honor to represent the United States during this historic period of transition in Libya."...

An honor.

Lol, what?

Hahahaha... gotta love how the media is so desperate to blame anyone or anything but Islam, some are blaming Al-Qaeda and others Gaddafi's followers. Tsk, tsk, tsk... please, at least come up with a coherent, unified statement or story, dissimulate a bit.

With Islam no good deed by nonmuslims goes UNPUNISHED.

Sadly, so true. After all the aid and money we give them, all muslims care about is lifting their asses five times a day and killing non-muslims

Seriously, how long will it take before our leaders understand this?

Snuck in on a ship?

He deserves everything he got.

No sympathy for him from this poster. LOL.

Christopher Stevens wrangled a ride on a Greek cargo ship and sailed into the rebels' stronghold city of Benghazi.

Can we sneak in Obama on a similar mission sans Secret Service? I'm sure he'll have much better luck. No, really.

Those who think there is such a thing as moderate and peacfull Islam would also be likely to place their pet Cobra or Sidewinder in their baby cot and then get surprised at the results.

There are more of them than you realise:

After all, some of them put Hussein Barak Obama in the White House!

Please reconsider US Policy and the question as to whether or not some senior politicians should should be charged with treason and some of their supporters institutionalised for being delusionally insane.

BREAKING NEWS!

The Ambassador of the US to Libya was killed by a movie, not by a mob of muslims:

https://twitter.com/OutFrontCNN/status/246025827232411650

Why dont people read the KORAN?

And unfortunately - he was also probably attacked and killed with the weapons we gave them!!

This has to come up!

Who on these blogs was saying give them weapons??

It seems the more accurate analysis is coming from these blogs - Gaddafi was self obsessed - there had to be seen an advantage in that.

Now the weapons are in the jihadist's hands - ending up heavens knows where and used for heavens knows what!!

who later murdered him,

*****

Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha,

Am I suppusa to feel sorry for this Obama/liberal loon?

Well, here;s my response,

Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha,

Muslims saw Stevens as a useful idiot infidel. He spoke fluent Arabic, but he didn't understand that he was an expendable corpse...or that Islam was the enemy.

Two Marines...an unsecured embassy, and CJCS blames Terry Jones in FL.

Take a walk down memory lane in JW archives...all of this predicted...yet the smartest people, Hillary, Obama, our military leaders -- could not see this on the horizon.

Are we all brilliant here, or are the aforementioned individuals each the epitome of stupidity and evil?

Look, if Ambassador Stevens 'deserved' what happened to him, then every American victim of jihad violence who at some point understated the evil of jihad would deserve it, correct? By that logic a large number of the 9/11/2001 victims, especially those involved in international finance, could be said to have 'deserved' what happened to them.

Do we really want to go down that road?

Stevens may have supported, implemented, and even advised favorably for a very misguided policy. We need to understand how misguided that policy is, and his death is overwhelming evidence to that view. Yet according to reports, he put himself at risk trying to save other American diplomats.

Regardless of his politics he died a hero. We should leave it at that.

Eight years I've been reading JW and the message has been the same all along. Only when the idiots-Clintons, Obamas, top brass, etc -steal that message and make it their own will it suddenly become a mainstream message. And the idiots will pretend they developed it and promoted it, and will not give a modicum of due to the Spencers and Gellers. And how could idiots give credit after calling counter-jihad freedom fighters names all these years, then heisting their message?

I had assumed Ambassador Stevens was just a garden-variety, well-meaning fool—but it turns out that he was a useful idiot, as well.

I still mourn his death and those of his colleagues, but now I worry about the damage he himself may have caused—wittingly or unwittingly—in aiding these vile Jihadists.

Madness.

If they knew what is in the Koran their make believe world would collapse.

Look, if Ambassador Stevens 'deserved' what happened to him, then every American victim of jihad violence who at some point understated the evil of jihad would deserve it, correct?

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but "understated the evil of jihad"? Seriously? That's all that you think this fellow is guilty of? After studying these environments and populations for years he actively implemented policies that anyone with such experience should have known would end in disaster, and which affect us all because he was blinded by his peace-nik narcissism. As I've said before, I don't like to hear about anyone being murdered, and I condemn this savagery and these savages, but this fellow was guilty, at the least, of criminal negligence on a global scale that could, and may still, result in the death of all of us. That's a world of difference from your average American Granny who just doesn't know a whole lot about the subject. Your comparison is ludicrous. And I don't consider him a hero by any means. Going back for the other diplomats was the least he could do given how badly he screwed this up. He was an idiot who has harmed us all and helped rob us of billions. And maybe if enough of his like-minded dolts in Washington meet the same fate, we can finally get people into these positions who are less narcissistic and have some semblance of an intellect.

And I don't know what you could mean by comparing him to the victims of 9/11. And what does international finance have to do with it? Unless maybe you can prove that any of the World Trade Center victims should have known that Sharia finance was a component of the global jihad, yet actively advanced it anyway, there's no case for a comparison there, if then.

Please don't click any Guardian link, don't give them ad hits, that text from RCW is more than enough; Look at the senile dirtbag that wrote that sick, vomitive piece:

https://si0.twimg.com/profile_images/1489562423/Me_in_Sorsele_cut_for_twitter.jpg

What a disgusting, sleazy and disturbed individual. What a sick fuck!.

Thank you for your comment of decency.

In the midst of so much spite and hatred.

As expected, most people here, including Spencer, are happy and gloating over the Ambassador's death. Anders Breivik would be proud of all of you. Really, you are no different than the Islamists you pretend to hate. You are their mirror-image here in the West.

This is very disturbing news (irrespective of how the ambassador viewed jihad and what he did with jihadis). Especially the picture posted on this site would anger any civilized person (which, by the way, I have not seen on any mainstream news website).

Having said this, this is also a natural outcome of policies pursued by the West towards other peoples at least since the British empire from the dawn of 20th century.

To keep other peoples down, the west consistently sided with the vilest political forces in our countries. After all, if evil forces are strong, there is a ready excuse for a "civilized" nation to intervene and oppress an "eastern" country. If good people are running the show, it is near impossible to use force against us without appearing to be villains themselves.

This is the reason Churchill supported the Pakistan movement - to do down the Indian nationalists led by Gandhi and Nehru.

And I am sure the cynical leaders who pursue such policies sort of "budget" for deaths such as that of the ambassador. A price to pay to keep an upper hand on us "beastly people".

West too needs to reform somewhat like the Islamic world.

Sanjay

As to your first paragraph, I would agree with the basic facts. Given that the ambassador reportedly died doing his duty to secure the safety of others, I disagree with your tone.

As to your second paragraph you wrote "Unless maybe you can prove that any of the World Trade Center victims should have known that Sharia finance was a component of the global jihad, yet actively advanced it anyway, there's no case for a comparison there, if then." which you wrote in response to my comment "By that logic a large number of the 9/11/2001 victims, especially those involved in international finance, COULD be said to have 'deserved' what happened to them".

All right, since you want to go down that road, let's do it. Pretend that proof exists that some 9/11/2001 victims advanced Sharia financing, or handled money transfers from Muslim oil states to build mosques in the U.S. or to finance chairs at U.S. universities, or to purchase stock in U.S. media corporations, all of which advance the stealth jihad. BTW, it is a reasonable supposition that such things did happen sometimes in the World Trade Center. Pretend that we have proof of such activities. Would you then say that these victims 'deserved' what happened to them? Please answer. If your answer is no then I'd like to know substantially why you would see them differently - different job title isn't enough.

I'm sorry, but the farthest I would go in criticizing Ambassador Stevens would be along the lines of Robert Spencer's article and gravenimage's posts. Any further would be mean, distasteful, and counterproductive to what we are trying to achieve here.

Pretending Islam is a religion of peace can get you killed.

Those living- and dying- for this delusion deserve pity.

And disdain.

Thanks for the link, Meryl.

The moronic Andrew Brown writes:

"The beliefs criticised are entirely imaginary".

But they *aren't*.

Of the clip I've seen and the ones described by Brown, the film cites the "Prophet" speaking to Yaf'oor the female-hating donkey; his voiding his adoption of Zeyd so that he can marry his adopted son's wife, Zainab; his rape of little Aisha; the drawing and quartering of his critic, the elderly woman Umm Qirfa, by camels; and the Muslim hordes giving their victims the choice of Jizya or death.

I agree-this film is not particularly well made. Whether this is bad low-budget film making or a satiric comment on its subject matter, I have no idea.

But the stories that I have seen *are straight from Muslim texts*—**not** from critics of Islam.

The only difference is that these stories are not presented in a positive light, as Muslims would present them. Well, that, and the fact that—gasp!-they have the temerity to depict the "Prophet" Muhammed. (He looks like an American hippy in the movie—actually, a rather too-pleasant portrayal, to my mind).

So—it's the usual. The appalling stories of Islam are just fine—so long as one considers them a "model of conduct" If one does not, then there must be blood.

I've also heard that the film maker—like cartoonist Molly Norris before him—has been forced into hiding over threats of Muslim violence.

Islam and its Western dhimmi enablers-a match made in Jahannam...

Foreign service is a hard job; it's not comfortable away from home and family. You must give respect to those who serve your country.

We're the "mirror image" of the savage, violent muslim supremacists except we're not storming the Libyan and Egyptian embassies in our countries and murdering their ambassadors.

We're "mirror images" of the typical savage, violent muslim supremacists except we're not howling for the deaths of "those who insulted/disrespected us."

Seriously, you muslim supremacists and leftist dhimmi whores are egregiously dishonest cretins.

If we were "mirror images" of muslim supremacists who have absolutely no self-control there would be murdered muslim supremacists who had nothing to do with this act of muslim supremacy in the United States at this moment.

"Any further would be mean, distasteful, and counterproductive to what we are trying to achieve here."

I'll tell you what's mean, distasteful and counterproductive to all human rights and decency: the way that Ambassador Stevens chose to live his life. He used his intelligence, influence and position to endanger our lives. That doesn't mean I advocate killing him, nor "gloat" at his massacre at the hands of Muslims. But nothing anyone can say can change the fact that Ambassador Stevens lived an abjectly shameful life, energetically pursuing pathetically reckless goals in the name of the very worst of PC MC.

He doesn't get to acquire the halo of "heroism" just because he was stupid enough to try to befriend his, and our, enemy. No sir.

Mr Stevens should have prepared for his post by reading 1/ John Quincy Adams' essays on Islam from 1829 and Jefferson's earlier account of his visit to one of the 'Thugs-in-Chief' of the Barbary Coast 2/ the chapter 'The Theatre of War' in Churchill's 'The Story of the Malakand Field Force' which is a ruthlessly accurate portrayal of a heavily-Islamised society (which *used* to be, pre-islam, a lovely Buddhist paradise...) and 3/ the first chapter of C S Forester's "The Barbary Pirates" (1953).

Some very sensible excerpts from Forester. (The book seems to be pitched not at adult readers but at intelligent lower-high-school and upper primary children: say, from age 12 and upwards).

"The name 'Barbary States' came from a term originally used by the Greeks. Two thousand years before, they had called all those who did not speak Greek 'barbarians'. This name was used in an effort to imitate the strange speech of foreigners, and it came to be permanently applied to the people of North Africa, the Berbers.

"The homelands of these people - the four North African countries of Morocco, Algiers, Tunis and Tripoli [sic: i.e. Tripoli in Libya..- dda] were known as the Barbary States.

"They were parts of the vast Mohammedan Empire which at one time had threatened to conquer the world.

"Later, this empire fell to pieces of its own weight, **largely because it had never been able to build any system of government except a simple tyranny** {my emphasis - dda}."

'The Arab Mohammedan conquest of North Africa had not been very successful. Local generals, and governors, and religious leaders managed to set themselves up as independent. At the same time they posed as dutiful subjects of the central government at Constantinople [i.e. the Ottoman Caliphate? - dda].

"But their rulers did not have an easy life, even if they lived in the midst of great wealth and enjoyed unlimited power.

"The Dey or Bey, Pasha or Emperor, whatever the local ruler called himself, lived only as long as he could remain more powerful than his rivals and enemies.

"The moment his grasp weakened he could expect to be strangled and to be succeeded by someone else eager to take his place.

'The truth was that a large part of the people were no more loyal to their rulers than their rulers were to Constantinople.

'They paid taxes only when the ruler was strong enough to compel them, and they were often hostile and independent under their own chiefs."...

{Islamic politics 101. What Forester does not point out, but could have done, is that the suspicion and aggression that suffuse all Islamic entities are manifest right down at ground level, in the household, the village, the clan; each household head, clan chief or village headman was just as teeteringly insecure on top of his little heap, and constantly in danger of being murdered and replaced by someone else in search of power and booty, as the dey, bey, pasha or sultan was on top of the bigger heap.

Islam promotes at one and the same time both slavish submission to 'the strong horse' and *also* passive-aggressive scheming, plotting, planning with a view to the palace or household coup. Sharia says the ruler must be obeyed; but it also provides that anyone may be killed at will, and declared ex post facto to have been guilty of something that called for summary execution; conversely, someone who is hated may be accused of 'apostasy', 'blasphemy' or some other 'crime' that calls for punishment by death, and the mob or the gang of assassins will not wait for proof... - dda}

One is struck, when reading the rest of Forester's chapter about the Barbary States in the 15th through 19th centuries, how eerily similar it is to a description of, say, the 'Trucial States' of the Arabian peninsula (a brilliant NZ scholar, J B Kelly, analysed that maelstrom in a book called Britain and the Persian Gulf 1795-1880 (1968), and also wrote a classic essay, 'Of Valuable Oil and Worthless Policies', which you can google up out of the Jihadwatch archives), or of the warring Mohammedan entities of Sumatra and Mindanao/ southern Philippines, or of Afghanistan and the 'north west frontier' of what is now Pakistan. Or of modern-day Somalia. Or of Iraq, and Syria. These are not 'nations'. They are loose concatenations of warring Mohammedan tribes, sometimes coalescing into bigger blobs or globs under a particularly strong and ruthless leader, but dissolving again the moment the leader loses his grip.

The Ummah does not merely attack, unceasingly, non-Muslims - whether the remnant dhimmi populations, or the non-Muslims next door - but it tears itself to pieces continually, because of the totalitarian and zero-sum mindset induced by Islam.

This just in too! Movie was made by a muslim! pretext is a hoax!

NPR found that Mr. Bacile doesn't exist. An associate of his on the movie said he wasn't Jewish or Israeli like the man who told BUT WAS MIDDLE EASTERN!!!!

This movie was made by a muslim.

Reichstag fire anyone?

No, Stevens gets to be called a hero for trying to save the lives of other Americans.

Your misattribution of my motive in calling Stevens a hero is simply wrong. BTW, I have noticed that others on today's threads have complained about similar misattributions you have made about them. Why do you do it? Many of your basic arguments are sound, so I see no reason for you to play the games that you do.

I'm glad you are not gloating about the death of Ambassador Stevens. Please note that I began these comments because one person DID gloat.

Finally, my original point on this thread stands: if all of the things that you say about Stevens are true - not just the facts, but the tone - then what you say definitely applies to the large majority of Westerners. If you really want to prevail in this civilizational conflict then you need to avoid insulting the potential converts to our side. We will not win with this kind of debate.

Hey, stink-ie ...

Hop on y'er high horse and ride on out of here, buck-o! ...your stinkin' up the place with your horseshit.

BTW, one of the details of this story is that Ambassador Stevens was in Benghazi for the opening of a U.S. cultural center.

Why are we wasting our money on such things?

Tom Davis,

You're right -- the Ambassador's efforts to save (non-Muslim) lives is heroic. He also managed to be colossally reckless in every way I described otherwise, about which I cannot see any good reason to take back one word. I suppose if someone supported Hitler enthusiastically and devoted his life to helping a budding Nazi regime, but then saved some American lives at the moment the Nazis were butchering him and them, he'd be heroic. Life can be complicated like that. That shouldn't detract from our ability to keep our eye on the ball, rather than get distracted by pleasant colorful mobiles drifting down from the ceiling.

I don't know much about Stevens. Probably he was just another ordinary, fairly decent, but misinformed, or uninformed person. No doubt he had biases like most people, including ourselves. But he was not a totalitarian or a murderer and did not deserve any violence. If we had seen the mob out seeking his murder, we would have been horrified, and if we watched the violence against him we would have found it viscerally morally hateful to watch. While watching, in our horror and compassion for the victims we would have wanted someone to use force to stop the aggressors, indeed perhaps more force than purely necessary in order to stop them. And to stop violent aggressors in the act, an avenging spirit born of compassion for the victims is perhaps not amiss, perhaps even according to the better angels of our nature. But whatever those angels might say about an avenging spirit using more than necessary force to stop cruel murderous violence against innocents, I believe they would root for us to use at least necessary force. We would have wanted to protect Stevens if we could. We would have seen ourselves in him, an ordinary person with a soul and a capacity for compassion.

I'm against Islam because it's totalitarian. Most here would perhaps agree that to show the same kind or degree of hostility to left-of-center politics as we show toward totalitarians is to flirt with totalitarianism in ourselves. It is to flirt with the one-party system idea. One sees a fair amount of that these days -- people more or less center-left or center-right who demonize the other side. That is a pernicious kind of demonization. Demonization becomes approximately valid I think in only one case: against true totalitarians, those who seek in a systematic and truly unequivocal way to stamp out human freedom. Totalitarians can be fairly called demonic, precisely because they themselves demonize all expressions of freedom -- which basically means they hate humans for being human. I think Nazism, communism, and Islam are all totalitarian movements.

In short, you are equating perpetrators with victims. Stevens was a perpetrator. The killed of 9/11 were victims (despite your feeble attempts to turn them into perpetrators with absurd hypotheticals about what assets may or may not have crossed their desks). You are exercising the same kind of moral equivalence on an internal level that jihadis and Leftists foist on us on a global level.

This slimebag was a collaborator. And he was so dumb that they should rule his death a suicide. Treason is treason. There's nothing "distasteful" about calling it what it is.

You wrote, bizarrely: '...most people here, including Spencer, are happy and gloating over the Ambassador's death.'

The murder of this American ambassador by Islam, is no different compared to the 250 million murders by Islam over the last 1,400 years, or so.

Do you think we at JW would gloat over these 250 million murders? No! So, we have no reason to gloat over this one, or the murders in the name of Islam that will take place today, and tomorrow, and the next day, and so on, and on, and on.

You're a clown!

LemonLime, you wrote,

I suppose if someone supported Hitler enthusiastically and devoted his life to helping a budding Nazi regime, but then saved some American lives at the moment the Nazis were butchering him and them, he'd be heroic. Life can be complicated like that.
Very true.

But don't you have to distinguish the well-meaning fool from the pathologically malignant person? The first would be the dupe who didn't see Hitler's totalitarianism, or thought it would pass, and "supported" the Germans of the 1930s in a belief they might thus reform and modernize. The second type would be not merely a dupe, but a malignant person who sees the totalitarianism and actually wants it to succeed in its plans to conquer the world. Falling asleep at the wheel is different from first degree murder. We all, in one way or another, fall asleep at the wheel.

traeh,

I agree that (using my terminology) PC MCs are for the most part not to be vilified, and even many Leftists I would include in that category -- reserving vilification for a rather small minority of ultra-Leftists (e.g., the gold standard, Noam Chomsky). I agree that Ambassador Stevens seems to have been a PC MC -- solidly so -- but certainly not a Chomskyite type ultra-Leftist. Unfortunately, in our time, one doesn't have to be a Chomskyite type ultra-Leftist to be enthusiastically enabling the West's worst enemy in all history -- because the worldview of PC MC is just that colossally stupid.

I also agree that if I saw Ambassador Stevens being lynched, I wouldn't hesitate to try to save him. His wrongheadedness, as outrageous and reckless as it was, should not be deemed a crime or treason, but a grievous error of judgement to be rectified by persuasion if possible -- and/or better yet, by firing his ass, not allowing him to be employed in any capacity where his PC MC can influence policy, mercilessly critiquing his worldview, and perhaps suing him if possible.

Nonetheless, perhaps you do not know enough of the facts about how thoroughly PC MC Stevens was, and how deep in camelshit he was in terms of helping our enemy. The JW commenter "buraq_is_dead" helpfully provided the following information about him:

For his second tour in Libya, Stevens was sent to rebel headquarters in Benghazi, Libya, to serve as special representative to the Libyan Transitional National Council. He arrived on a Greek cargo ship on April 5, 2011 and stayed until November. His mission was to forge stronger links with the Interim Transitional National Council, and gain a better understanding of the various factions fighting the Gadhafi regime. His reports back to Washington were said to have encouraged the U.S. to support the rebel council, which the Obama administration did formally in July 2011.

http://www.allgov.com/news/appointments-and-resignations/ambassador-to-libya-who-is-chris-stevens?news=844191

And this is the video, with which the ambassador introduced himself to the mohammedans. Disgusting:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_SIIxholL4

About that video, "buraq_is_dead" is absolutely correct. Stevens's beaming healthy idiocy is so positively saturated in the benighted idealism of PC MC, it turns the stomach, aggrieves the soul, and breaks the heart.

His murder should be kept separate from his life. The former was tragic and lamentable; the latter was tragicomic and ... lamentable.

Reports are coming in that the ambassador was raped before being tortured and murdered. Sexual humiliation and degradation of infidels is very important in Islam: http://crombouke.blogspot.com/2010/02/sexual-jihad-demoralising-and.html

Libya is going to hell in a handbasket, and Stevens' death highlights this progression ...

Obama and the rest of the Western leaders are still in denial that they have backed the wrong horse in every muslim country - we all saw the so-called 'Arab Spring' for what it was - how come they didn't? If islam is not stopped in its tracks, very soon, civilisation has ended - back to the dark ages!

"In short, you are equating perpetrators with victims. Stevens was a perpetrator. The killed of 9/11 were victims (despite your feeble attempts to turn them into perpetrators with absurd hypotheticals [sic] about what assets may or may not have crossed their desks)."

BS. I was not turning the 9/11/2001 victims into perpetrators. I was showing that they were NOT perpetrators, and thus by the same reasoning Stevens was not a perpetrator. Your logic is deficient due to you animus against the man.

"You are exercising the same kind of moral equivalence on an internal level that jihadis and Leftists foist on us on a global level."

BS. I am writing that a U.S. ambassador who is likely guilty of moral equivalence is not guilty of worse.

"This slimebag was a collaborator. And he was so dumb that they should rule his death a suicide. Treason is treason. There's nothing "distasteful" about calling it what it is."

Treason is not treason if the majority of people besides us don't see our enemies as our enemies. And I need to point out again that that majority will not listen to you with your current tone. You are not helping.

"But don't you have to distinguish the well-meaning fool from the pathologically malignant person? I agree completely. Thanks.

Interesting that you quote "His [Stevens] reports back to Washington were said to have encouraged the U.S. to support the rebel council, which the Obama administration did formally in July 2011."

It's not surprising. In fact I wrote above that "Stevens may have supported, implemented, and even advised favorably for a very misguided policy. " This was easy to anticipate. The flip side is, of course, that the Obama administration was so uncritically receptive to that message.

"Reports are coming in that the ambassador was raped before being tortured and murdered. Sexual humiliation and degradation of infidels is very important in Islam"

Certainly there are photos which show Ambassador Stevens being held in a bent-over position by the mob. These reports are creditable.

In the clearer photos you can see the effects of smoke inhalation on his upper lip, so the 'death by asphyxiation' report is creditable also.

So, we must conclude that these monsters either sodomized the ambassador as he was dying, or else they perpetrated necrophilia. Perhaps both.

During his early days in Benghazi, Mr Stevens would have been surrounded by rebel forces. He'd have seen them, up close, and been fully aware:

a) that the front line rebel soldiers were overwhelmingly Mujahideen.

b) that many of these Mujahideen warriors won their spurs in Iraq, fighting and killing US servicemen.

c) of their handiwork - what befell those Qadaffi loyalists who'd been taken "prisoner" by them, and what they did to the populations of loyalist towns once they'd fallen.

None of this bothered him one iota and he continued to help their cause.

That film has been out since July 2012 !

It is an excuse for a 911 attack on America pure & simple !
They can't get to US on US soil so they hit the embassies !

The crudeness of the film is a reflection of the time Mohammed was invented ! Reminds me of a big budget film "Mohammed the Messenger"staring Anthony Quinn . Overseen by Islamic scholars who eventually walked off the set. It was then financed by Libya !

Canada is getting tough on Islamic countries. We are investigating 11,000 fraudulent citizenships to mainly Muslims who fraudulently obtained them.

We have now taken the lead against Jihad & support of Israel . We boycott UN Human Rights conferences & a few politicians are posing the withdrawal from the UN.

The US has the worst administration in recent history.
Time to vote Republican & get back on track !
Get out there & promote Romney !

The world is a different place today & we need new thinking to get back to strength & freedom.

I don't think anyone deserves to die like Stevens did !
He was misguided as is the Obama administration.
Hilary's comments are very reflective of an administration that is out of touch with reality !

Watch the British film "My Brother the Islamist"

"The flip side is, of course, that the Obama administration was so uncritically receptive to that message."

That's not a flip side -- it's the same side. If Obama agrees with some abysmal idiot, that hardly exculpates the idiot in question.

Lying heathen laying dead!

Stevens DID deserve to die, as does every politician who violates the public trust by telling us Islam is peaceful - and you can take that right back to Clinton and Bush, too.

What is interesting is Obama refused to meet privately with Netanyahu when the UN opens and just a few hours later Obama has his own Islamic violence to deal with.

But the fun's over, back to playing "American roulette" - waiting to see which of the millions of "peaceful" Muslims in the US will become the next Nidal Hasan.

I think the murder of Ambassador Stevens should engrave one lesson indelibly: Western idealism melts to jello in the face of islamic reality. Stevens found this out the hard way. But we can take the lesson from his example...

Let he who has never played the fool cast the first stone.

"That's not a flip side -- it's the same side."

You are too picky and too quick to judge. I did not mean my comment in the sense of a difference in opinion or policy, but in the sense of a difference of communication roles. Ambassadors are at one end of the communications pipeline, and the State Department is at the other. When the State Department tells ambassadors what to do that is one side, and then when ambassadors reply with so-called intelligence, observations, and assessments the pipeline flips to the opposite direction.

Just cut it out.

It is safe to sleep with a
tiger than a muslim....

Hi!

I watched the whole clip which is about 44 minutes. A must this video.

Dr. Bill Warner explains the history of jihad. He explains the Crusades. Fascinating video for people who want to understand the devastation (murders, rapes, slavery, etc.) Islam has meant in the last 1400 years for the Christians, the Jews, the Hindus. Send this especially to people who are less familiar with the history of Islam. Dr. Warner use many visuals and it very easy to follow.

Thank you.

Isabella

According to a Libyan politican in a recent interview, Ambassador Stephens was a "Sufi Muslim".

http://1389blog.com/2012/09/14/libyan-politician-sabri-malek-claims-that-ambassador-christopher-stephens-was-a-sufi-muslim/

If this is true, he can no longer be exculpated by being deemed merely "PC MC", as I have been assuming. His activity was something far worse -- worse even than the lucrative sedition typified by the ultra-Leftist Noam Chomsky.

'According to a Libyan politician'.

According to a Libyan Muslim politician.

Remember: Muslims lie.

Why should not this claim be false?

I will only believe it if Stephens' own non-Muslim family members and / or non-Muslim colleagues confirm it.
