The war with weapons needs ro be replaced with a war of words attacking the ideology which lies behind Islam. Western governments need to be revealing, epecially to Muslims, the contents of the Quran, Sunnah and Sirah. There will be bloodshed caused by maniacal Muslims attacking innocent non-Muslims, but the total bloodshed will probably be less than that shed by wars against Islamic nations in the past twenty years and that which will be shed in the future if the Islamic ideology is not exposed and shown to be entirely false.

I agree, weapons seem to motivate the Taliban, and al-Qaida. Some how it stimulates their commitment and agressions.

Words of truth, seem much more effective for example the story of Muhammad, and how the Qur'an instructs and enforces blood shed, ideology cleansing, and savage type subjugation and crulity to non-Muslims world wide.

It seems the non-Muslim world is handcuffed to ignorance in general and therefor using ineffective weapons and appeasment that only enforces more of the same. Similar to fighting a fire using gasoline.

Some have said Obama is trying to break the nation and so keeps our troops deployed year after year with no motivation, goals, or stratagy to guild them...... While the enemy has a very real motivation factor, ideology, and instructions to follow... The terrorists even use taqiyya to open locked doors after gaining the false trust by means of desciption, terrorists have again out flanked the free world without firing one shot...

I couldn't believe this when I first read it, which is rare for me—but this was so shocking.

Of course, I realized that the Afghan army and police was full of Taliban infiltrators, but I assumed that recruits at least had to pay lip service to wanting to fight them.

KABUL, Afghanistan — The first thing Col. Akbar Stanikzai does when he interviews recruits for the Afghan National Army is take their cellphones.

He checks to see if the ringtones are Taliban campaign tunes, if the screen savers show the white Taliban flag on a black background, or if the phone memory includes any insurgent beheading videos.

Often enough they flunk that first test, but that hardly means they will not qualify to join their country’s manpower-hungry military.

God, what suicidal madness.

I can see a third world army consider all kinds of recruits who would never meet the standards of a first-world force: applicants who wouldn't meet our height or eyesight requirements, or who were rather older than is ideal, or those who admitted to past drug use or who had misdemeanor criminal records.

But the one thing no serious force—under *any* conditions—does is consider recruits who are by every indication *working with the enemy*.

To think that our troops are being called to rely on Jihadists so blatant as to have *beheading videos on their cell phones* makes me angry beyond belief.

What madness is this? They're treating the issue of keeping *Taliban insurgents* out of the Afghan army as though it were some sort of arbitrary stricture, like insisting that recruits have no outstanding balance on their credit cards or no minor traffic violations on their records.

Does *anyone* believe this? Would anyone download *beheading videos* for "protection"? This strains credulity—to put it mildly.

Don't you have to ask what the "machine" is for? If you are recruiting Jihadists who want to *murder* you, then you are better off without them.

If I was out in the field and needed someone to have my back, would I be better off alone or having to rely on someone who would be more likely to shoot me in the back than to watch my back?

This is so obvious it shouldn't have to be spelled out.

What he really means is that maintaining the false appearance of military recruitment keeps the Jizya flowing from the credulous Americans.

And the New York Times headline for this shocking article? Here it is:

Can't be much blander—or more clueless—than that.
