What, did he forget his passport?

I'd like to comment but the US would no doubt demand MY extradition. Shame since I would have liked to see more of the US but, like Egypt and several other countries affected by the misnamed "Arab Spring", the US will never now get my $ tourist.

Who in the U.S. government has made such a complaint of illegal entry? There has not been one item in the U.S. press to suggest that Tommy Robinson is in any way wanted for illegally entering the U.S.

BTW, as Rudolf Giuliani has repeatedly pointed out, first time violators of U.S. immigration laws are NOT subject to criminal proceedings - if they were they could use jury trials to slow down their deportations. There is NO WAY the U.S. government could be legally seeking Robinson's extradition, and it is unlikely that the Obama administration would be bending the law on this to help the Brits 'get' Robinson because it is way below their radar.

Think about it: how much sense would it make for the U.S. government to extradite someone into the U.S. when the punishment is to kick them out of the U.S? The chances of the U.S. government seeking an extradition for something it treats with an administrative remedy (instead of a criminal prosecution) is just about zero.

The only reasonable conclusion is that the British police are making things up. This looks just like the crap that started the American revolution.

I expect that it is some technicality, like not declaring previous names (Wiki says he was born Stephen Yaxley-Lennon). If so most people would just be told to get the passport fixed!

I should add that I don't like the EDL, a lot of them are racist and generally xenophobic. That said this is definitely an injustice

The idea that someone could not only be tried for this but *extradited* is utter madness.

I can go down to the parking lot of my local Home Depot and find dozens of people who illegally entered the U.S..

San Francisco is a "sanctuary city" that won't even check violent criminals for their immigration status, and it is one of many.

Also, think of how difficult it has been even getting violent *Jihadists* extradited.

Clearly, Tommy Robinson is being targeted.

How is that even possible? I thought that anyone who couldn't pay their legal fees—for whatever reason—got free representation in Britain.

The last posting on this thread - though it claims to be from 'a true Patriot' is altogether too foul a rant, far too gleefully gloating over the vision of a non-Muslim prisoner being "the bitch for the Muslim Guards lol.", to be anything other than the ranting of a Mohammedthug.

If Jan, who has always come across as a sane and sober person, vouches for the EDL and the BFP - and if Esmerelda Weatherwax, who has personally with her own eyes viewed some of their rallies in London, and has heard Mr Robinson speak, vouches for them - then I will trust them rather than never(or very rarely)-before-seen-here 'gunung' (is he the same poster, I wonder, as the 'yahoo' sign-in above??) and his massive attempt to undermine them.

I think Chesterton would have understood Tommy Robinson very well; and the EDL, and March for England, and the British Freedom Party, and Paul Weston; and he would have been right in there with the Law and Freedom people, using the local laws of England to resist the building of mosques.
