Egypt: Islamic supremacist member of Constituent Assembly objects to constitutional clause prohibiting sex trafficking, violence against women

Child marriage: "The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with 'Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death)." (Sahih Bukhari, volume 7, book 62, number 88)

Wife-beating: "Righteous women are therefore obedient, guarding the secret for God's guarding. And those you fear may be rebellious admonish; banish them to their couches, and beat them." (Qur'an 4:34)

Following are excerpts from a TV show featuring Muhammad Saad Al-Azhari, a member of the Egyptian Constituent Assembly, which was broadcast on Al-Nas TV on September 24, 2012.
Muhammad Saad Al-Azhari: We were discussing a clause [proposed for the constitution] prohibiting forced labor and sex trafficking in women and children. I and some other members objected to this clause. We said that "trafficking in women" in the UN covenants refers to child marriage.

Then they wanted to add an article protecting women from violence. With such a clause, you wouldn't be allowed to say anything to her, let alone touch her. And there were things worse still...

TV Host Sheikh Khaled Abdallah: The people of Egypt should know what those secularists are trying to do. The man is a member of the Constituent Assembly. It's not me saying this. "Child protection" means that if your child goes astray, you cannot discipline him, beat him, or even say a word to him, or else he might call 911 like they do in America. Your wife will act insolently, and you won't be able to say a word to her. Forget about your manhood. If you dare to say anything to her, she will call the police on you. They want to exclude the Islamists from formulating the constitution, and do things that contradict the shari'a and the teachings of our Prophet. Go ahead.

Muhammad Saad Al-Azhari: If your wife claims that you were intimate with her without her consent, it will be considered rape according to the law. This is part of women's protection from violence. If you have full sexual relations with your wife against her will, she will be able to file a complaint against you. That's where things are headed....

It is now clear that intermarriage and a lack of pork enzymes have induced a pandemic of imamotoxicity among the believers. The imamotoxins manifest themselves as little worms adorned with turbanettes that displace the cranial matter responsible for logic and decision-making with a ball of gas suspected of being some form of flatulence.

One may find my first comment insulting. I hope so, as that is exactly the purpose. I believe we should bombard these brain-dead throwbacks with well-deserved ridicule. Their choices are to grow up (well, how likely is that?) or to continue to reveal their barbarity and simplify the decision of the pluralisticly minded to take a historically (and I mean both past and future history) mandated stand. I want people to take sides with full knowledge of the consequence to failing to do so.

Recall that NOTHING gets on the air in Egypt, Gaza, Saudi, etc unless APPROVED by the government - all media there is controlled, every bit as much as it was under Saddam or is in N. Korea.
So this is not just some "off the leash" nutjob talking - it's the Egyptian government by proxy...

I mean these are people that think a 50 something year old man haveing sexual intercourse with a 9 year-old girl was an honor to her. They think she was lucky! And we won't even talk about what he did to her before she was 9 years old and not 'ready' for full intercourse.('ready' meaning it probably wouldnt kill her by bleeding to death through internal perforations). They think he was merciful and compassionate to wait to fulfill his lust for a child 'til she was 9 years old!

They also think it was an honor for Jewish Safiyah to become Muhammed's 'bride' after Muhammed and his army killed (and tortured for monetary gain, so pious huh?) her husband and male relatives, and enslaved (children included) her tribe. Including the Allah-sanctioned rape of the women captives by Muhammed's followers.

So, what can we expect otherwise from people who believe these things are not just acceptable, but an example to be followed for all time and place?
