Egypt: Muslim preachers condemn anti-Muslim Brotherhood protests: "Satan tempted" protest organizers

Muslim preachers appeal to Islam to condemn protests against Muslim Brotherhood rule. This is how Sharia will come to Egypt: people will be made to think that it would be a sin to oppose it.

"Preachers across Egypt condemn Tahrir protests in Friday sermons," from Al-Masry Al-Youm, October 19:

Several preachers condemned the demonstrations against the Muslim Brotherhood in their Friday sermons today, describing the protests as attempts to sow sedition.
“Those who called for the protests Friday should not think they are struggling for the sake of God and the homeland,” said Sheik Ahmed al-Mahalawy at the Leader Ibrahim Mosque in Alexandria.

"The organizers are struggling for the sake of their own desires after Satan tempted them," Mahalawy added.

"The current days are blessed. You have to think of Hajj or Umra, or devote yourselves to obey God, as these days are an opportunity to get closer to God."

In Beni Suef, Sheikh Maher Abbas of Al-Rahman Al-Rahim Mosque in Baba village said that the political forces staging protests against "brotherhoodizing" the state aim to sow sedition and undermine the security of the country.

"Some satellite channel workers are throwing accusations haphazardly. They seek to divide people and obstruct the 'production wheel' createdy by President Morsy," he said.

In Fayoum, the imam of the Qouta village mosque appealed to citizens to come together to overcome the economic crisis in Egypt.

"The demonstrations ... prevent the stability that we all seek, because they drive away investors from the country," he declared.

The imam at Fatah Mosque in Ramses said that Egyptians should unite ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday. He called on citizens to accept the difference between each other.

The imam at the Omar bin Abdel Aziz Mosque near the presidential palace criticized last Friday’s clashes....

They are trembling with fear. They know that the egyptian people DO NOT want the Muslim Brotherhood rule. The tide is turning and the islamic rule will disintegrate in the whole Middle East. It's only a matter of time. People of Egypt, man up!
Egyptian TV channel airs "Beheading in Tunisia" and wonders about this "kind" of Islam.

This should come as no surprise—politics and religion become almost immediately conflated in Islam. Imagine if, say, Republicans in the United States could claim that anyone who didn't support them was "tempted by Satan"? What if, say, Labour could do the same in Britain?

And, of course, it is always the "most Islamic" parties that prevail under such conditions.

It also leads to such insanity as what we see in places like Somalia, where Jihadists accuse each other of being "insufficiently Islamic", and jockey for power with blood in the streets.

*Exactly*. They will either support it out of piety, or be too terrified to oppose it lest they be accused of apostasy.

Hmmmmm...notice no one said that after the demonstrations against Mubarak...

And why are they "blessed"? Because Shari'ah is a comin'!

Grimly laughable. It was the "Arab Spring" revolution that drove them away in the first place.

And the idea that the imposition of Shari'ah will make Egypt attractive to investors is ludicrous. This is just aimed at the more secular factions still remaining in Egypt.

Uh....right. "Accept the difference between each other"—by completely crushing any secular concerns.

It's odd to see pious Muslims using some of the same Taqiyya on "secular Muslims"—hows that for an oxymoron—that they use on Kaffirs elsewhere.

And the upshot will be just the same—any calls for tolerances over differences or references to the economy will disappear once the Muslim Brotherhood and other "Islamists" consolidate their power.

Then the calls will be for secularists to get in line—*or else*.

the Allah god (unknowable; as imagined)devours volition and personal desires, save what is needed to obey Sharia, the destructive new law all are supposed to love ... this so it's blood lust can be exercised and it's base desires can be fulfilled
