FBI offers $50,000 reward for Massachusetts jihad terror suspect

What would make peaceful, tolerant Massachusetts Muslims like Ahmed Abousamra and Tarek Mehanna turn to jihad? Clearly we need to start winning hearts and minds in Massachusetts: give out soccer balls to urchins in Marblehead and Lowell, build schools in Amherst and Worcester and have General John Allen make a video expressing his "deep respect" for the "noble people of Massachusetts." That will stop the "radicalization" of Massachusetts Muslims in a jiffy -- after all, look how well it has worked in Afghanistan.

The FBI today asked for the public’s help in locating terrorism suspect Ahmad Abousamra, a former Mansfield resident who allegedly traveled to Pakistan and Yemen to be trained in how to kill American servicemen overseas.
Abousamra was indicted in 2009 along with Tarek Mehanna, a Sudbury man who was sentenced this year to 17½ years in federal prison following his conviction on charges of providing material support to Al Qaeda, including translating terrorist documents into English.

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to Abousamra’s capture.

According to the FBI and the indictment filed in US District Court in Boston, Abousamra made multiple trips to Pakistan and Yemen seeking training at terrorist camps during the last decade. The FBI said he also journeyed to Iraq, allegedly with the hope of participating in attacks on the American military.

In 2010, Abousamra and Mehanna were charged in a superseding indictment with an additional single count of conspiring to provide material support to Al Qaeda.

Abousamra, 31, is of Syrian descent and has dual citizenship in the United States and Syria, the FBI said. A native of France, he is now believed to be living in Aleppo, Syria, with his wife, at least one child, and other relatives, authorities said....

Abousamra is fluent in both English and Arabic and has a college degree in computer technology, the FBI said. His known aliases include Ahmad Abou-Samra, Ahmad Abou, Ahmad Abou Samira, Ahmad Samra, Ahmad Abu Samra, and Ahmad Abou Samra.

The FBI is also releasing a video, voice clip and wanted posters in English, French And Arabic to help in the search for Abousamra.

NP: that is a question I always ask my self. I work in NYC and most cabbies are from Pakistan. most of them do not speak English and I wonder how the hell did they get a visa? when I was trying to come to the states to go to school in 1976, I went to the US embassy to get visa and they told me I had shit for grades and it aint happening!!! I then went to England I was there for a year but I really wanted to come to the states. so i went back to Tehran, and went to the embassy. i never forget this middle age american employees looks at my grade and she siad: your grades are not good. she then turned around and siad: come back tomorrow I will give you a two year visa!! I ran all the way home and got on the next flight. I was 19 years old and I was not sure if they were going to change their mind!!! looking back now i think either the night befor or that morning she must have scored!!!!! woo hoo!!!!!

Fuzzy Wuzzy there has been headline news since early this morning. If the FBI thinks he's in Aleppo, Syria, why are the asking for help from the public in Massachusetts? Just send some agents over there with shovels. Now, if he was in Benghazi, that would be a problem, since the Fibbies still can't figure out how to get our "good friends" in the Libyan gubmint to arrange safe passage for them.

But what the FBI and so many other American government agencies won't conclude is that the reason why bastards like this guy are like they are is PRECISELY because of Islam. Islam is the root cause of the rot, and in one of the great pretend games in man's history too many still are pretending too many times that too many Muslim barbarians are the way they are irrespective of Islam. For instance, d'ya think the FBI, speaking in the aggregate, not what some individual FBI guys privately think, would ever, duh, conclude that were there no Islam there would be no jihad? Nope, not there yet.

If no Islam then no jihad. Ultimately the problem isn't jihad. It's Islam. Jihad is a symptom, not a cause.

I appreciate your opening cynicism as to keeping the allegience our youth (recently it seems to from adolescence to thirty). It is becoming our festering frustration.
I have taken to identifying it with the Commintern (whose end goal was totalitarianism) and preyed upon an indoctrinated few.
Yet, we can't combat this with apple pie and Bar-B-Que jingoism. And with a country so infected with political correctitude, I am exasperated.
So, how does this drone-candidate emerge from suburban green lawned homes and our schools?
What has he been denied by us? Nothing.
When this political hegemony, fortified by a theology of evil, reaches the kid next door, we must make corrections.
But nary a word do we hear from pulpits, nor pastoral letters. And from the Kiwanis, Chambers of Commerce - -?
And, tell this story, and you'll get. "At least he's not here anymore." But he is.
It's one thing to huff and puff with the jingoism of "Let's get'em".
It's another thing to get to them. That takes a few grey cells.

'Native of France'. No: he is a Syrian Arab Muslim, born to Syrian Arab Muslims who were temporarily residing in France. Note that he does not have French citizenship.

He has "dual citizenship in the United States and Syria".

Why cannot the US part of this 'dual citizenship' be cancelled, given that he is a malevolent thug who, it is abundantly plain, regarded his American citizenship papers as a temporary tactical convenience, nothing else?

Then he could be simply a citizen of Muslim-majority Syria.

And if he's in Aleppo, leave him there; just make very, very sure that he isn't allowed back in to *any* non-Muslim land, not into the USA or France or anywhere else at all.

With any luck he'll get killed in the Syrian Civl War between the Sunni Muslims on the one side and the Alawites and Shiites on the other.
