Nigeria: Airline passengers subdue man who stood up and began screaming "Allahu akbar"

Passengers and crew of an Abuja-bound aircraft belonging to Arik Air were thrown into panic on Tuesday when a passenger behaving in a strange manner stood up and screamed Allahu Akbar(God is great) midair.
The scared passengers, who took off from Maiduguri, Borno State, rushed to the strange passenger identified as Aminu Galadima, grabbed him and searched him to ascertain if he had a bomb strapped to his body.

Our correspondent learnt that the situation made the pilot of the aircraft with registration number 5N MJE to immediately radio the Air Traffic Control and airport security operatives.

The Special Assistant to the Minister of Aviation on Media, Mr. Joe Obi, confirmed the development in a statement made available to our correspondent in Abuja.

Obi said the passenger in question went through the necessary security checks at the airport and did not raise any suspicion until he started shouting midair.

He said, “A passenger, Aminu Galadima, a native of Minna, Niger State, boarded a Maiduguri-Abuja- bound Arik Air aircraft with registration number 5N MJE after going through mandatory security screening.

“Nothing incriminating; no explosives or weapons whatsoever were found on him. However, midair, the passenger began to act strangely, loudly screaming, ‘God is great.’ Fellow passengers, alarmed by his behaviour rushed to apprehend him.

“A thorough search by fellow passengers and crew members revealed nothing dangerous on him. The pilot immediately radioed Air Traffic Control and airport security operatives.

“The plane landed safely at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at exactly 12.53hrs and the suspect was handed over to the SSS at about 14.45hrs. He is currently being interrogated.”...

A dry run maybe? Testing the system? Or just a severe Allahgasm? Sometimes just thinking about Allah can cause outbursts...An outbursting Mahoundian on a plane is a scary proposition, the other passengers did the right thing...
Allah should be on the no flight list if just mentioning the name causes air panic...

He probably had no intention (so far) of committing a terrorist attack.
It's just that heavily superstitious Muslims are capable of shouting out the name of their satanic deity for no apparent reason, especially whenever they are stressed, fearful, overjoyed, or under some sort of intense delusion about something or another. This is what Islam does to people. He was probably being attacked by a Jinn and felt the need to call out the name of his hopeless god.

The phrase, "allahu akbar" should be considered hate speech. Face it, something hateful is usually going on when those words are uttered.

This shows why the TSA is totally unnecessary (aside from them being nothing more than security "theater" with a side of theft and a large helping of power-tripping).

Any time somebody starts acting hinky on a plane, the rest of the passengers offer up a beat-down.

The "profit" often declared he was made victorious through terror. This koranimal didn't need a knife, gun or bomb to strike terror into the hearts of the passenger infidels. He in all likelihood knew that by screaming allahu akbar he would be able to do just that.

Psychological warfare against the infidel - another tactic of jihad.

If he had yelled that the price of oranges nowadays was a rip off, no one would've batted an eyelid. But he knew what the effect of 'allahu akbar' would have.
A deliberate attempt to place passengers in a state of fear and alarm!

The annoying Arabic words '' Allahu akbar'' are uttered a lot … for many reasons

the manger ones are these …

When they go through extreme hight of feelings like jubilation or pain from injury sort of when '' OH MY GOD '' are uttered here in the smiler situation .

and

When starting every prayer [ quiiyam ] standing, and every [ sujud] sitting ….

the only difference between the two is the tune of voice .

Here is some suggestions if '' Allahu Akbar '' was heard in airplane …

don't panic right away …

First, just listen the tune of voice …

if it was delivered in a soft voice sitting down … then it was only for prayer

but

if it was loud with sudden jerking ....then, it is time to pounce and paralyze the Muslim idiot jerk

It has to be treated as a dry run, testing the passenger reaction and security measures. No matter whatever the motivation is, it should be treated as a security issue with the utmost seriousness.

A dry run is when they rehearse the movements up to the point of taking over or detonating. A probe is when they do or say something out of the ordinary to see what security or passengers will do in response. Probes are done before dry runs.

If anything, this was a probe, not a dry run.
