Qur'an quote ads hit D.C. Metro

The Holy Quran can only be understood correctly in the original Arabic. Some of the sacred meaning is inevitably lost in translation, especially in quotations taken out of context.

So the quotation 'Soon we shall cast terror into the hearts of the unbelievers' is a misleadingly literal translation which has been taken out of its textual environment. This sentence is actually a colloqial seventh century Arabic expression whose real meaning is 'Invite the local rabbi and pastor round for afternoon tea'.

My favorites 9:5 and 9:29 may be put on the advertisement, I wonder if CAIR would call such ad as hate crime. LOL

For a week , now, I've been wearing my SUPPORT ISRAEL, DEFEAT JIHAD T shirt in New York City. I thought for sure I'd have a few fist fights by now, but nothing, nothing at all. Oh, once, on my bicycle, passing two Moslem Cab Drivers parked in the next lane, the one facing me saw me and gave a lifted chin heads up to his coleague, but I was gone before they could get it together. The guys at the gym say there's too many letters; you can't figure out what it's saying fast enough. That won't be the case if more ads can go up on busses and in the subway, so the "shape" of the message can be seen right away. I thought there'd be more danger. Maybe soon.

Sura 9:29 is the obvious choice and the one with arguably the greatest historical significance.

But I'm also in favor of signs which show the Koran as a scientific disaster, a product of 7th century ignorance of Astronomy in particular:

I like this new approach for the ads also. The simpler we can make the verses the better for the public to appreciate. However, I feel that citing the verse alone is almost as if to help them with the message they ultimately want to give us anyway. So, as a follow-up to the previous message and to make a point of it, why not throw in something like 'This isn't savage?' Any thoughts?

I would consider using the key or relevant portions of the verses if they are longer, using '...' between segments in order to give the essence more quickly for the passing public to 'savor' as they read it.

Empty words considering how Hamas-linked CAIR remains silent after 9/11 ...they didn't "speak for justice" then, nor have they now.

As far as showing forgiveness--well, all I see from muslims are temper tantrums and riots almost on a daily basis, and especially after Friday *prayers*. And do they avoid the ignorant? LOL, don't make me laugh, of course not! They can't avoid themselves since THEY are ignorant of the truth about muhammad ..and that's just for starters.

Re the CAIR verse.

We just have to remember that words like 'ignorant' or 'ignorance' and 'justice' and even, most likely, 'forgiveness' don't mean the same thing in Islamspeak as they do to us Infidels.

'Ignorance' = anything not-Islam, especially, anything contrary to Islam.

'Justice' = sharia. 'Justice' = Muslims ruling, dhimmis grovelling and paying jizya, and anybody who won't convert or won't pay jizya gets the chop.

'Forgiveness' means something like 'biding your time till you're strong enough to take revenge in spades'.

I will add that there are Islamic sources that say that Jihad is 'mercy'. (Throws a whole new light on that line they're always rattling off, about 'allah-the-merciful-and-compassionate').

Yeah: invading people's countries, dispossessing them or driving them out or force-converting them, beheading them by the thousands, gang-raping their women and turning them into sex-slaves, and reducing the survivors to terrified cringing dhimmis who are grudging allowed to stay alive (sometimes) if they pay extortionate 'protection' money , etc, = 'mercy'.

'Cleansing' is another one. You 'cleanse' your family 'honor' by violently torture-murdering your perceived-or-alleged-to-be uppity female relative.

An infidel woman is 'purified' ...by being kidnapped at gunpoint, raped, and forcibly 'converted' to Islam. You see, when she's raped by a Muslim, drugged, brutalised and 'converted', she is transformed from a 'filthy kafir' to a 'pure' Muslimah...PUKE.

We can deduce that from the fact that as a rich Mohammedthug in Pakistan, with his armed henchman, barged into the house of a poor Pakistani Christian and seized at gunpoint and dragged off the man's 13 year old daughter - to be raped and turned into his (the Mohammedthug's) sex-slave - the Mohammedthug declared that he was going to 'purify' this poor little girl...

The best way to decode Islamspeak is to think of the sorts of things George Orwell listed as 'newspeak' in '1984'. Islamspeak works the same way as 'newspeak' - e.g. 'freedom is slavery, war is peace, ignorance is strength". And so on.

Once you 'get' that, then all sorts of apparently-benign Islamic 'scriptures' - and the protestations of many a sly dawa/ BS artist - suddenly cease to appear benign.

I wonder whether - in the absence of a First Amendment like the our Yankee brethren have - we in the Resistance in other countries, such as Australia or Canada, could run a 'Quran Quotes' campaign like this one?

Hey, maybe the intrepid Sergio Redegalli - he of the 'Ban the Burqa' murals - could vary his effects by doing Quran Quotes.

Basically, anybody passing by on the trains on one of *the* busiest commuter routes in and out of the City of Sydney can see the wall of Sergio's studio.

So if he put up a blood-curdling Quran quote accompanying, say, an image inspired by the 2002 Bali Bombing, it would be seen by *tens of thousands* of people.

I think that it would be advisable to display the original Arabic along side with its English translation. Then those who deface the ads are defacing a verse from the Koran, the literal 'word of God...'.

While I like the idea of using Quranic quotes, since so many are so vague, and not fully understood, I am leaning more toward quotes from the Sunnah.

This is exactly what needs to be done. Let their koran speak for itself - right out in the open - for all to see (something that I have always believed in).

How will the liars be able to call the ads 'Islamophobia'? (they won't). It would be great to hear that many are sending images of the ads to mouth-pieces like "The View" - nbc,abc,cbs,cnn,fox....even if the senders get ignored - if for no other reason - to inform 'the informers' that the masses are not as ignorant as the mouth-pieces would like to believe.

I'd like to send a picture of an ad with the following to the women of "The View" (along with a message...or challenge rather....to present just one Scripture from the New Testament that teaches humans to be violent with other - A Scripture - word for word - AND NOT THIER OWN WORDS...because that challenge will leave them empty-handed the very moment they come forth to claim that Christianity is no better; - a lie that they have takn part in making famous. There are no such Scriptures that exist in the New Testament. Not one!)

The women of the view should find that teaching of the Koran very unsettling...lest they are liars about the kind of women they claim to be.
