The parents should hire their own hall and have a the mother of all Halloween parties on the same date as the school's "Harvest Party". And all those who might take offense at such innocent, traditional Halloween fun should be told to stay away.

Holloween is still a Christian holiday where I live in Latin America.

I was recently taken aback to see three Muslim choosing Halloween costumes at a Dollar store.

It is not the schools place to decide what is offensive to who...but they can enforce a dress code that is restricted so as not to cause a 'distraction from the learning process'...This policy should include girls dressed in abeya and veil...There's not much more distracting to a 10 year old boy than to have someone dressed in black robes and veil sitting next to him in class...

The school is obviously terrified by the muslim rage that would follow if the kids dressed up as "Zombie Muhammad" in honor of last year's Pennsylvania Sharia victim.

It occurs to me as I read this item that oftentimes for the left this not-offending nonsense is just an excuse to attack our own culture.

That they don't really care about offending people is amply demonstrated by the fact that they are curiously selective about who they "don't wish to offend".

They seem to have no problem offending Christians or patriotic Americans.

So we can safely infer that avoiding offense to people in general is not their concern. In fact, they couldn't possibly care less about offending people. They are lying about their motives.

It's a matter of noticing which particular things they identify as potentially "offensive". In America, they are always things that are notably Biblical, or American or western or Christian or Jewish.

The Mohammedans are providing them cover. And it comes pretty naturally, as so many Mohammedans do indeed seem to find almost anything "offensive" that isn't specifically Mohammedan.

This sort of garbage needs to be met with severe condemnation.

And in this context it isn't Mohammedans that are the problem. They're just providing the excuse. The problem is the lying leftists.

The fact that the school board commands this carrying water for others is what's so problematic. Religious jews do not celebrate such a secular holiday and will in many communities not be available to hand out candy treats. it does not give them in their faith or law, any right to demand that others reframe from celebrating so, nor staying off their property etc etc. You never heard or do hear of such an issue.
So... the multicultural left and/or muslims ply this special privilege.

What is of common culture in the US should not be replaced so as not to 'offend' others.
Everyone has to join in to wage this war of common sense and common decency.

in school i heard one of the school office worker mothers say that after her little beggers came home with their collection of candy, she just threw 1/2 of it away the next day. nasty woman. why send her little beggars out? price of candy....what a WASTE.

I regret that this is happening in British schools too. The female Principal of a school in my city in Denmark recently told a group of 12-year old boys. "I am fed up with you Muslims always ruining teaching".

Did it cause trouble for her! A father demanded her dismissal, eagerly supported by at least one well-known "anti-racist" - of the sort usually abusing people instead of arguing their opinions - who reported her to the police when the father thought better of it and got cold feet.

Of course, Muslims would consider all of this offensive, in any case. Secular holidays would be banned as well as Christian or other religious holidays. Even something as bland as a "Harvest Party" or a "Winter Party" would be banned, as well. Anything beyond the two bloody "Eids" are Haram.

There isn't even that large a Muslim population in the northwest—yet—but they've been all too prominent, imposing "Muslim women only" swimming sessions in public pools and launching murderous Jihad attacks on local Jewish organizations.

And now, the local "politically correct" Infidels are enabling more Shari'ah strictures. Madness, and suicidal madness.

As a cradle Catholic who still attends "the old Mass," i.e., Latin, I have always allowed my children to participate in The Eve of All Saints festivities. We attend a late afternoon mass, my children sometimes wear the Saint's garb from the schoolday, and sometimes not.

They "trick or treat" though I know the anti-Catholic roots of Guy Fawkes Day. We have a bonfire and food for all the neighbors, finishing with the Rosary.

Our Muslim neighbors walk their children around for candy, the children never being in costume. Since they are out with their own children, no one is at their home to hand out candy when our kids come calling. So you see, Muslims have made this holiday into another jizya opportunity in St. Louis.

So where's the tolerance?
