In this instance, Ms. Morkaya (the Turkish Muslim prosecutor for the Sydney, Australia magistrate) can try to buttress her argument that this incident merely reflects a Tiny Minority of Extremists who are trying to inflict their "interpretation" of sharia. Someone then will protest, "but it's Islamic!" She can then say, doing her stealth taqiyya, "it's not in the Koran! Show me where it is in the Koran!"

And then, if her challenger doesn't know about the hadiths, and how crucially important hadiths are to the mainstream Sunna which is the very heart of Islam (and there remain even Jihad Watchers laboring under this deficit to this day), he will be at a loss, and lose that round.

I would have assumed this was just your standard Western denial and dhimmitude, had LemonLime not pointed out that "Sevinch Morkaya" is a Turkish Muslim name. So—this may be more Taqiyya than anything else, which is even more disturbing.

Silverwater, part of Western Sydney, is now largely Muslim.

Australian poster Dumbledore's Army has mentioned the nearby monstrously huge Auburn Gallipoli Mosque before, built by Turkish Muslims. Wikipedia blandly notes that "The name of the mosque reflects the legacy of Gallipoli in Turkey and the shared bond between Australian society and the Australian Turkish Muslim Community who constructed the mosque".

What it doesn't note is that Gallipoli is where Australian troops were *slaughtered by Muslims*. That's a "shared bond" that many Muslims in Australia would like to continue...

Actually, I think in Arabic, when an "al" precedes certain consonants, the "l" turns into the initial letter of the following name/word.

Thus, it would be "Nassara as-Stoopid" -- also known, behind his back, as "Stoopid-Ass".

Hi no fear! two things I would like to tell you about Iran, I was born and raised there. it is very rare to see iranian women in Neqab, that is mainly in sunni muslim countries. second here is the best news of all: only 1 1/2% of iranians go to mosques!!! our people are fed up with islam!!!

Are most Iranians, miriam rove, fed up enough with Islam to go back to Persia's real religious heritage, Zoroastrianism, or adopt any other religion but Islam, or none? Being fed up is not enough. I have not been to Tehran. I tried to quickly think of an Islamic place so I thought of Tehran first. Sorry for negatively referring to a place I have never seen. I do know two Iranians, I should have asked them what Tehran was like before I opened my gob.

Appalling that this is happening in civilized Australia. I hope they throw the book at them—but with a probable Muslim judge presiding, I don't have high expectations in that regard. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

"The hearing continues before Magistrate Brian Maloney."

Brian Maloney is a classic Irish-Australian name. I'd be awfully surprised if *he* were a Muslim.

'Sevinch Morkaya' is *not* 'judge', or in this case, magistrate; she is counsel for the prosecution. The name of whoever is counsel for the defence, is not mentioned.

Of course, having a Muslim prosecutor is fairly disturbing, as well. Will she go all out to prosecute a Shari'ah case like this, or will she soft-peddle the severity of the crime?
