Sharia in action in Mali: Islamic supremacists beat people, confiscate amulets and cigarettes

They're misunderstanding Islam again in Mali

It's funny how we always hear in the U.S. that Sharia is benign and that to outlaw it would be to interfere with Muslim religious practice. And yet every time Sharia is implemented anywhere in the world, it is anything but benign. No one in the mainstream media ever seems to notice, however.

"Islamists beat people, seize amulets at north Mali market," from the Associated Press, October 16 (thanks to Twostellas):

BAMAKO, Mali — A resident of the northern Malian town of Hombori says that Islamist fighters have raided the local market, confiscating amulets that people were wearing.
Resident Maouloud Daou Lelele says that about 10 fighters from the radical Islamic sect the Movement for Unity and Jihad in West Africa, or MUJAO, descended on the area on Tuesday morning, the day of the weekly market in Hombori, located 950 kilometers (190 miles) northeast of the capital, Bamako. They also burst into shops and confiscated the cigarettes being sold, as well as the dried tobacco leaves that old women sell on the side of the road.

The raid is the latest attempt by the Islamists to impose Shariah on Mali’s moderate north....

A controversial and particularly alarmist video on "Muslim immigration" in the West was shown to participants of the synod (an assembly of officials of the Catholic church) on the "New Evangelisation" in the Vatican, according to observers of this non-public event.

Wha does this film say? "Islam will be the biggest religion in the world in five to seven years," proclaims the document which is said to have been written in 2009 by American evangelists, before inviting them to "share the message of the Evangelist in the world". "In 39 years, France will be a majority-Muslim country," the video ultimately believes.

Several Synod Fahers immediaely reacted and declared their "perplexity", casting doubt on some of the figures in this anonymous video which has circulated on the internet for four years. According to the document, 30% of those under 20 in France are said o be Muslims and up to 45% in some cities.

Dear Jihad Watch:

Amulets were confiscated; and I am sure later destroyed. The significance of the amulets be taken away relates to the vileness of Islamadoodles.

Amulets in Mali? Hhhmmm? The amulets could belong to persons who practice indigenous or tribal (ie "pagan") religions. This shows that its not just large mainstream faiths that are attacked by Islamadoodles. Yes, Christians, Jews, Bahais, Hindus, Buddhists, Sihks... etc; meet a horrific fate in muslim regions of the world. However, native tribal beliefs, paganistic religions and animist faiths also face threats by muslims.

Or if not a religious meaning... amulets could express folk customs, artistic styles or historic symbolism for the culture at hand- in this case Mali Africans and the tribal cultures that exist there. So, even if the amulets are not worn for religious reasons; but for cultural ones... here is Islam destroying another culture one personal possession at a time. Which by the way this is stealing... but are the Islamadoodles going to chop off their own hands?

With the treatment of women already escalating to public floggings and SS Gestapo or KGB style names lists for single mothers, persecution of muslim sect minorities and the destruction of historic and archaeological important sites in Mali... this 3rd world nation can be gauranteed that intead of progressing on the global stage... it will further de-volve into the stone age. Thanks to the followers of a child marrying, incestuous pedophile, lying, murdering war-mongering monster Mohammed.

Yes, incestuous pedophile. Mohammed engaged in sexual acts with his pre-pubescent grandsons. There should be images of Mohammed going viral everywhere with the heading- "child molestor." The more the West shows Islamadoodles that their beleifs are not on equal par with other cultures... the better the world will be and perhaps not as willing to accept Islamification.

The ONLY thing muslims hate more than Jews is Pagans, and don't think they'll catch us napping this time around. We were nearly exterminated in centuries past, but the Christians have cooled their tempers--the islamists have not.
I've been accisted because I wear a symbol of Hecate, plainly visible, and islamists really have a problem with that no matter where they are.

No indeed. And "Islamists" are doing worse things in Mali than confiscating amulets and cigarettes and beating people—they are also amputating people's hands for petty theft and *stoning unmarried couples to death*.

They are also taking names of unmarried mothers, and the fear is that these will be the next stoning victims.

This *is* the true face of Shari'ah.
