Whenever you see the name Ahmadinejad, you just can't be so serious--you ought to laugh. The guy is no different than Baghdad Bob. Such is a typical oriental behavior. When losing, it is important to march with affected triumph, but keep secrete mortification. You can see this behavior practiced by their ancestors. Sapor king of Persia was one, but was not as vain as today's Muslim leaders.

If you insist on looking back to find the cause of today's intolerable Gaza threat, may I suggest you look at the very beginning.
July 1971 to February 1972: In just 7 months the great hero Ariel Sharon had totally eradicated the bloodthirsty, sadistic, murderous PFLP terror cult from Gaza. THE PFLP that had TOTALLY enslaved our cowardly United States of America and even more cowardly Europe, causing our cowardly Western democracies sink into the depths of depravity. Suddenly, they all had plunged into a frenzy of mutual treason, cross-treason and even self-treason. As author George Jonas put it, "an ambassador licking the hand that shot another". And all of them together betraying Israel. THE PFLP that still holds the world record in airplane hijackings, even after 9/11. THE PFLP that took ALL OPEC oil ministers hostage in Geneva, forcing the oil-rich Arab countries pay it ever greater "jizzya" extortion. THE PFLP particularly favored by the Soviet KGB who provided to them the most advanced terrorist training in the world. But no KGB training helped the cutthroats when General Sharon took them on. When it was over, 104 terrorists, including their leader Ziyad al-Husseini, were dead, and all the rest, 754 in all, captured. During the whole thing, only 2 civilians were unintentionally killed. It was one of the cleanest, and the most brilliant, anti-terror operations in history. And yet, 2 unwise leftist-liberal Yitzhaks, Yitzhak Abadi and Yitzhak Pundek, both Sharon's subordinates, rebelled against the authority of their commanding officer and went snitching on him to Dayan. The 2 leftist idiots accused Sharon of being "unduly harsh" (!) with Palestinian civilians, and pushed the all-too-familiar and now totally discredited liberal garbage: that the only things those civilians need are "educational and employment opportunities and imrovement of their living standards" to become "peaceful" toward the Israelis. In Dayan, the 2 snitches found a receptive audience. Dayan was obsessed with his place in history, and manipulated other generals to quarrel and muck-up each other's reputations, with Dayan standing alone above it all, THE STAR of the IDF. He recognized his most serious rival for glory in Sharon, then just a major, as early as 1950's. He saw that not only was Sharon a brighter star than himself, but that Sharon was the Sun, and will shine him out of the sky altogether. So he fired Sharon from the military in 1955, without any reason or even explanation, but was overruled by Ben Gurion who re-instated Sharon. Egged-on by Dayan, other officers in IDF were bitterly jealous of the brash young major's glory, and resentful of Ben Gurion's patronage of him. The worst-of-the-worst-of-the-worst of those were Chaim Bar-Lev and David Elazar. Those 2 became Sharon's sworn life-long personal enemies. That hostility was to cause grave harm to Israel. Dayan JUMPED on the leftist Yitzhaks' snitching and REMOVED the newly liberated Gaza from Sharon's Southern Command! And yet, peace would last in Gaza for more than a decade, so thorough was Arik's impact. ALL WOULD BE RUINED BY SOCIOPATH BILL CLINTON AND THE NORWEGIAN SOCIOPATHS WITH THE BLOODY OSLO AND BLOODY CAMP DAVID AND OTHER BLOODY PEACE PROCESSES THEY PUSHED TO ISRAEL. LETTING Arafat into Gaza, Judea and Samaria. LETTING all other terrorists in. FUNDING, ARMING AND TRAINING THEM. By the time Sharon returned as Prime Minister, the region was aflame in the worst terror campaign on the Jews ever, RIGHT after the haples Barack did EVERYTHING the sociopaths Clinton and Albright told him to do, and got THE WORST JIHAD ATROCITY ON THE JEWS EVER. The 2 American sociopaths immediatelly abandoned "their man" Barack and condemned him in the UN! And Sharon now had all this bloody mess on his hands to clean up! The simultaneous arrival of the so-called "conservative" president George W. Bush was no improvement at all. HYSTERICALLY AND PANICKILY, Bush & Co. grabbed onto Sharon's wrists and ankles and held them back from any self-defense ahainst the genocidal Islamic Palestinian Jihad terrorists, screeching that ANY action will make the Muslims "too mad". After a mass murder after mass murder after mass murder, Sharon began fighting back, despite all the sabotage and restraining by the Bushistic cowards AND HORRIBLE SHRILL GLOBAL HATE CAMPAIGN AGAINST ISRAEL BY THE ISLAMIC SAVAGES AND COWARDLY WESTERN DEMOCRACIES ALIKE. I remember that evil as if it happened an hour ago, don't you, Caroline? As you yourself admit, Sharon eradicated terrorism from the West Bank by killing ALL the top terrorist leaders and master bomb makers except Arafat, whom he cornered and blocked-off, and capturing nearly 10,000 hard-core Islamic terrorists. He never got a chance to finish the job in Gaza, for the cowardly Baby Bush had suddenly begun following Clinton's footsteps and got in Sharon's face with his own "peace processes", The Bloody Camp David II and The Bloody Road Map. Meanwhile, even as Sharon had reduced the violence to almost nothing, the hate campaign by Western cowards on him only grew more rabid. Out-of-control lies and slander in the English, French, Norwegian and Swedish media. Hysteria now focused on Gaza, Gaza, Gaza. Lowly white groupies of the Islamic terrorists from Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Canada and the US infesting Gaza and harrassing Israeli soldiers there, jumping like headless chikens up IDF bulldozers trying to destroy explosives-and-weapons-smuggling tunnels. One of those groupies, Rachel Corrie, getting accidentally killed after fooling for nearly 2 months with those bulldozers, as if they were those bulls in Pamplona. And that only added fuel to the global anti-Israeli hysteria, especially in the American and European media. Sharon could see that all his good works of 1971-1972 in Gaza had been ruined by Dayan, Israeli leftists and Western sociopaths, and that Gaza was now a lost cause. Our United States of America was no help, just the opposite. Bush, Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice ganged up on Sharon with their bloody "peace processes" he knew will cause Israel even greater harm than Clinton's. Sharon's Israeli biographers Nir Hefez and Gadi Bloom compare the troika's actions to placing a noose on Sharon's neck and violently pulling the ends in different directions, strangling him. And so, to get the 3 out of his face and off his neck, and to give up on Gaza where the situation had become unsalvageable, Sharon ordered the "ethnic cleansing" of his own Jewish people and total pullout from Gaza. It was a personal tragedy for him, after all the valiant battle he did there long before. It was no accident that he ordered the "disengagement" to be carried out on Aug. 14, 2005, which happened to be Tisha Be'Av, the date of great tragedies of the Jewish people.
But it is not fair, Caroline, to put the blame on him. It serves no purpose to condemn the great Zionist hero. We should direct the blame where it belongs: Dayan, the Israeli left, and the cowardly, pathologically traitorous American and European sociopaths.
And to pick up where I left in 1972: the very next year, Sharon's bitterly jealous enemy David Elazar, then Sharon's commanding officer, pressured Sharon to resign from the military, and from the crucial Southern Command JUST THREE MONTHS BEFORE EGYPT AND SYRIA ATTACKED ISRAEL ON YOM KIPPUR. Sharon compained to Dayan, to no avail: Dayan was happy to at long last get rid of Sharon, his main rival for glory. Then it got even worse, far worse: Elazar replaced Sharon with Shmuel Gonen, by far the worst general in Israel's history. RIGHT before the enemy attack, Gonen threw an intelligence report predicting it into a drawer without reading, and went away to visit a friend in Haifa. When the war erupted, Gonen came back to his headquarters in Beersheba (not to the front), and just sat there, DOING NOTHING. Meanwhile, most of Israel's elite Sinai tank division was destroyed. Yet another of Sharon's bitter enemies, Chaim Bar-Lev, was appointed as co-commander (!) to Gonen, who was totally clueless. Sharon came back from the reserves for the war. Tragically for Israel, however, the 3 commanding officers right up his chain of command were his obsessive, hate-possessed enemies: Elazar, Bar-Lev and Gonen. I feel despair every time I thing of the 3 throwing monkey wrenches into everything Sharon did. Just to prevent him from earning the same glory he did in the Six-Day War of 1967. And thousands of brave Israeli soldiers lost their lives because of those persons' malice. It is horrible the harm those 3 and Dayan caused to Israel because of their egos. And yet, despite this sabotage, it took Sharon to turn the tide and save Israel from crushing military defeat, but at a terrible cost in life. The actions of Sharon's jealous rivals robbed Israel of a decisive, clear-cut victory. and the tragic Yom Kippur War had long-lasting consequences. It continues negatively impacting Israel even now.
Ariel Sharon is the greatest hero Israel ever had. It takes a distance of decades and generations to even begin to see the man's stature.
Caroline, the year 1973 is coming, the 40th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War. May I suggest that you research this war and devote the entire coming year on reflecting on it. It is a good way to start understanding Sharon, and without understanding him, we cannot make sense of the situation Israel is in right now.
Sharon is the Israel that could have been, if only, only the Israeli nation had the wisdom of staying united behind him. Sharon: his tragedy is that of Israel who missed its greatest opportunities by failing to put its unconditional faith in him.
Let us all who care about Israel weep for Sharon and for Israel who had stumbled so painfully and got lost because it did not follow that great man.
