I'll bet anyone $500 that this Imam doesn't call himself "Salafist". So why is the reporter designating him that way?

Is there a better law-maker than God? No. But Islam is not from God. Neither is the Koran. Neither is Shariah. And Moh was not a prophet of the true God.
I think we just have to keep reminding these people of this. Just keep chipping away. That's what Wafa Sultan says.

I can't tell you who said it, but I remember reading somewhere that Islam produces slums surrounded by deserts. (To get an idea of the slums, read John Roy Carlson's 'Cairo to Damascus', chapter 5, 'Behind the Correspondent's Curtain', subsection entitled 'The Slums of Cairo').

Everything that Islam, the Ummah, touches turns, eventually, to sh*t. Or, more precisely, to barren dust. I used to think Tolkien's desolate Mordor was a poet's bleak imagining. Now I know that something closely approximating Mordor exists *in reality*.

North Africa used to be the breadbasket of Rome. Once the Muslims took over, ecological and economic collapse followed in short order. All around the Mediterranean, the date of the Muslim conquests can be detected *archaeologically*, *geologically*, by what is sometimes called 'The New Fill', a deep layer of silt formed by the bleeding away of the soil from farmlands depopulated (i.e. deprived of the careful, intelligent tending of their previous owners, because said owners were either killed or had fled or had become Muslims and lost their will to work), deforested, and heavily overgrazed by bedouin goats, camels and sheep. Previously fertile hillsides collapsed into the valleys and then washed out to sea. Gardens turned to desert.

There are books that discuss this, as also there are books that describe a similar process of ruination that can be seen in the Balkans, Hungary and Bulgaria in the regions invaded and ruled by Muslims; Turkey has undergone similar processes of degradation. Afghanistan is a wasteland; Pakistan and Bangladesh, though each located along rampantly fertile river valleys, are wretched poverty-stricken hell-holes.

Agronomist Walter Clay Lowdermilk's 'Palestine: Land of Promise' has a very detailed description of the absolute ruin wrought upon the land of Israel by 1400 years of Muslim occupation...and the near-miraculous restoration that was beginning to happen as a result of the reinhabiting of the land by patient, hard-working, tree-planting Jews.

Egypt, and much of the Moslem world, is suffering severe food shortages. In the short term this will produce more violence. But the Muslim Brotherhood will not long hold power if they cannot feed the populace. They are trying to hide the food crisis by whipping people into a jihadist frenzy.
But empty stomachs will only buy that for so long ...
