Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood President recalls ambassador to Israel after strike kills murderous Hamas chief

This was inevitable. Back in January 2011, when the mainstream media was gushing about the glories of the "Arab Spring," I pointed out the strong undercurrent of hostility to Israel among the protesters. And now slavering Muslim antisemites are pushing Morsi to be tougher on Israel for daring to defend itself -- but even before this, they were calling for a rupture of diplomatic relations. "Egypt’s president recalls ambassador to Israel after Gaza strike kills Hamas commander," from the Associated Press, November 14:

CAIRO — Egypt’s Islamist president recalled the country’s ambassador to Israel to protest its strikes in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday after coming under mounting domestic criticism for not taking a strong enough stance against Israel.

The move may signal a shift in the way Cairo deals with Israel following last year’s popular uprising that ushered in the country’s first free presidential elections over the summer and a wave of protests since. Ousted President Hosni Mubarak, who built close ties with Egypt’s neighbor, was accused by Egyptians for refusing to bend to popular pressure for tough stands against Israel.

Ironically, his successor President Mohammed Morsi, who hails from the Muslim Brotherhood, came under similar sharp criticism earlier this week for failing to speak out after seven Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes over the weekend in retaliation for rocket attacks by Gaza militants. Secular parties and revolutionary groups on Monday held a vigil denouncing Morsi and protesting the Israeli airstrikes.

On Wednesday, Israel heightened its offensive by killing Ahmad Jabari, the commander of the Hamas military wing, in one of some 20 airstrikes on the Gaza Strip in the wake of further militant rocket attacks. Ten people were killed in the assault on Gaza, two of them young children.

This prompted a protest of around 200 people in downtown Cairo on Wednesday who demanded Morsi take a stand against the Israeli attack.

“Morsi where is your decision,” they chanted. “Our leaders, enough with the silence. The people of Gaza are dying there.”

Late Wednesday, presidential spokesman Yasser Ali announced on state TV that Morsi had recalled the Egyptian ambassador.

The Muslim Brotherhood is a vocal critic of Israel, and the Palestinian Hamas militant group that rules Gaza is an offshoot of the group. Since taking office as Egypt’s first freely elected president in late June, Morsi has refused to meet or contact any Israeli officials and doesn’t even mention Israel by name in official statements.

Still, while relations have cooled, Morsi has not brought radical change in Egypt’s policy toward Israel. He has promised to abide by Egypt’s 1979 peace deal with Israel and his government has continued contacts with Israel through its non-Brotherhood members.

Israel and Egypt have quietly cooperated over an Egyptian military operation in the Sinai Peninsula against Islamic militants who have been attacking Egyptian forces and launching attacks into Israel. Morsi’s government also still tightly controls Palestinian movement through the Rafah border crossing with Gaza in the Sinai. Under Mubarak, Egypt’s backing of a blockade of Gaza imposed by Israel after Hamas won elections and later overran the territory in 2007 was highly unpopular among Egyptians.

As an elected leader, however, Morsi faces heavy pressure to reflect more strongly the widespread anti-Israeli feelings among the Egyptian public.

“Before, in Mubarak’s time, there was no response at all and they suffocated Gaza,” said Hassan Saleh, a 25 year-old education ministry official who was among those protesting in Cairo on Wednesday. “All this must change. We should allow aid in, open the crossing and hospitals and pressure Israel.”

The Brotherhood’s political party, which Morsi headed before winning the presidency, warned in a statement Wednesday that “the occupation state must realize that the changes that took place in the region, especially in Egypt, will not let the Palestinian people fall at the mercy of the Israeli aggression as was the case before.”....

No doubt he went home first class, since Egypt is flush with euros courtesy of the dhimmi EUrocrats.

So, again?

The world publicly conndemns Israel for what is about to happen ...

Remember when Israel took out Iraq's nuclear facility?

Remember the world condemnation?

Remember everybody breathing a long sigh of relief, under their breath, while publicly condemning Israel?

Remember Israel doing something covert and nasty to Syria's nuclear project some years back?

Can you guess what Bibi is going to do as our muslim in chief hangs him out to dry?

Good riddance to Ahmed Jaabari. But these Islamist warlords are like sharks' teeth--another one is always at the ready, to replace one that's lost. Getting Hamas out of Palestine is going to require Palestinian statehood, sovereignty and contiguous, coherent borders (i.e, no settlements), and a functioning economy. Along with the Palestinians giving up on the 'right of return,' Israelis need to give up on the concept of a Greater Israel. Notwithstanding Biblical mumbo-jumbo, demographic realities preclude settlement building, and secular Israelis need to start ignoring ultra-orthodox fruitcakes.

And the Mubarak regime was on its last legs, anyhow. The international supporters of the Arab Spring got too much credit for helping to kick down a rotten door. The regimes in Egypy and other countries were going to fail, sooner or later, with or without international assistance. And don't forget that the Americans did their own 'Arab Spring' in Iraq, when they spent hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of lives deposing a secular regime. There never was any national security interest in ousting the Ba'athists from Iraq, and Reagan's support the Mujahedin was a really bad idea, yet conservatives prefer to ignore these things.

...Egypt is flush with euros courtesy of the dhimmi EUrocrats.

Well, not only with euros.
Over 1.5 billion dollars yearly courtesy of the US is nothing to sneer at.
Apparently dhimmitude is a attitude of choice vis a vis Islam on both sides of the Atlantic.

"Can you guess what Bibi is going to do as our muslim in chief hangs him out to dry?"

The Israelis did the right thing, here. But America has no strategic interest in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Aside from a tiny Jewish lobby and a slightly larger Evangelical lobby, most Americans don't want to get sucked into another costly (money, lives) war, in some remote sandpit. The Bush regime already left America with a huge financial and human hangover from a pointless war in Iraq. Obama is a populist, the Democrats have other elections coming up, the Treasury is drowning in red ink, and the U.S. is not going to get dragged into another Middle East war. And, given upcoming elections and fiscal realities, the Republicans will not support military intervention in a regional Israeli vs Egypt, etc. conflict, either.

But these Islamist warlords are like sharks' teeth--another one is always at the ready, to replace one that's lost. Getting Hamas out of Palestine is going to require Palestinian statehood, sovereignty and contiguous, coherent borders (i.e, no settlements), and a functioning economy.

A better approach would be to let the shark keep its teeth, but refuse to feed the shark. Without the Western aid and with regularly administered Israeli spanking the shark would turn into vegetarian in a very short time.

The west convinced Morsi that it's more advantageous to keep the peace treaty with Israel. $1.5 billion a year is the reward for being a good dog. With this money he is reminded to prefer the pleasure of the master to his fierce resentment. Every official in his administration can enjoy the life they never had before. Let the protesters shout to their hearts content while officials live a western lifestyle. The ambassador is recalled but the Embassy is not closed. In a few days, Morse will send another warn letter to Israeli government expressing how the two countries have come so far in working together and wish Israel buy more natural gas from Sinai to help pay the salary of Egypt's government employees. Morsi is not a very bright guy. He was not a good student, probably barely earned a C average, when he was at University of Southern California.

Aside from a tiny Jewish lobby and a slightly larger Evangelical lobby, most Americans don't want to get sucked into another costly (money, lives) war, in some remote sandpit.

Until now Israelis fought their wars alone and there is no reason to think they would feel differently about that now.
"Most Americans" may relax.

"Without the Western aid and with regularly administered Israeli spanking the shark would turn into vegetarian in a very short time."

There's even more money from places like Saudi Arabia. Fill up your gas tank, and do your part to fund Islamist proxy wars, from Palestine to the Philippines. America needs to take a hard look at its energy policy. And defending Salafist countries (e.g., Kuwait) didn't help this. Bushes I-II ensured that Salafist Islam would flourish in the region, by fighting both Gulf wars. And, by funneling aid to the Mujahedin, Ronald Reagan helped ensure that Afghanistan and Pakistan would be Salafi strongholds. The jihadi movement in Palestine can function quite well without Western aid, especially since the West did such a good job supporting Islamist regimes in other countries. And Israel will NOT solve the Palestinian situation militarily.

The Gazprom-run imperial Russian mafia government turned a secular-nationalist/separatist movement in Chechenya into an Islamist-supported one, with their vicious military response. The Han-supremacist Chinese Communists are doing the same thing in Xinjiang/East Turkestan. The West did nothing to protect Bosniaks from rape and slaughter by the Serbs, so Salafis from the Gulf states got involved, and now what was a very secular Muslim society looks like a Saudi clone. But the West smartened up, by the time the Kosovo conflict came around, and ensured that a pro-Western, secular state emerged. Even Israel provided large amounts of aid to Kosovars, and Israel was also one of the first countries to recognize an independent Azerbaijan. But marginalizing secularist-nationalist elements (as Israel did with Fatah, until recently), ignoring demographic realities and humoring religious wackos in the Haredi movement by allowing settlement building, and refusing to allow Palestinian statehood is accomplishing nothing, but making Israel's security situation worse. There is also diminishing enthusiasm in Israel for military action, and a growing backlash against the Haredi movement. The problem, largely tractable to Israeli's voting system, is that there is a growing disconnect between popular consensus and government policy.

"Until now Israelis fought their wars alone and there is no reason to think they would feel differently about that now."

This is only true if one ignores the fact that the Israeli military is largely funded and equipped by the United States and other donor countries (Canada, EU). Meanwhile, other nations (Syria, Iran, Russia) have supported the Palestinians. This is a proxy war, just like 1970s-80s American and Soviet policy in Latin America. To reiterate: neither the Israelis, nor Palestinians are 'fighting their own wars.' With the American public fed up with the staggering costs of the pointless Iraq conflict, and trillion-plus budget deficits, the Israelis and Palestinians should not count on endless financial support. And, outside of a very small (about half the number of Latino illegal aliens) Jewish population and certain Fundamentalist Protestants, most Americans don't really give a hoot about what happens in Israel-Palestine. Israel has zero strategic, or resource value, and continued support for the country is a diplomatic liability. Regardless of what one surmises about Obama's religious sympathies, Israel is very low on the list of priorities of the President, Congress, and Senate.

Ladies and gentlemen

I see that the latest Jew-hater is producing the usual.

In response to its assorted postings above, I offer the following, recommended to all intelligent people (antisemitism of any variety is *unintelligent*; it is indeed supremely stupid; Jacques Ellul called it 'folie', and our former regular contributor 'Hugh Fitzgerald' calls it 'a pathological condition').

Israel Would Consider Ending Its Adherence To The Absurd Oslo Accords

Memo to Jerusalem:

"Start talking about Jihad, and the immutability of Islamic doctrine.

"Start talking about the Treaty of Hudaibiyya, the basis for all Muslim treaty-making ("Truce Treaties" not "Peace Treaties") with non-Muslims.

"Start using the phrase "Palestinian Arabs" and stop using the phrase (correction: 'word' - dda; even Homer nods, and Hugh Fitzgerald's mind sometimes races ahead of his typing fingers) "Palestinians."
Start making sense." END QUOTE FROM HUGH FITZGERALD

Our Jew-hating contributor wants us, at all costs, *not* to see the war against the Jews of Israel - waged by the local shock-troops, the 'Palestinian' Arab Muslims, and by the rest of the Ummah one way of another - as a Jihad, and as a subset of the Global Jihad.

He can want all he likes, but wanting ain't getting.

Some more.

Gerald Steinberg On Restoring Israeli Deterrence

Irrespective of our latest Jew-hater's rabbiting on about how Israel cannot win this war 'militarily': in reality the keyword is darura, darura, darura.

Israel must be - and must be perceived to be - virtually inassailable, capable of exacting a heavy price upon any aggressor.

From the comments thread to this article, in 2008

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2006/08/will-cease-fires-never-cease.html

"...And so the Lesser Jihad against Israel was disguised, for obvious reasons, as merely a matter of the "legitimate rights of the Palestiian people."

"Neither Israel itself, nor many in the outside world, seem willing to comprehend that there is no solution, one-state or two-state or n-state, to the Jihad.

"**There is only the matter of remaining overwhelmingly -- and perceptibly -- more powerful, capable of wreaking great damage on those who would attack.** {my emphasis - dda}.

"No treaty with Infidel states, and Israel is such a state, can conceivably be permanently honored by a Muslim signatory.

"Pacta sunt servanda is a Western idea.

"In the Muslim world, treaties are not to be obeyed, but if made with Infidels, to be violated as soon as the Muslim side feels itself strong enough to press its advantage. The model for all time -- see Majid Khadduri -- is Muhammad's Treaty with the Meccans in 628 A.D."

There's a lot more to Hugh's comment, back then in 2008; I encourage all persons of goodwill, new to this site and this subject, to click on the link I've provided, scroll down through a - short- comments thread till you find it, and read it all.

And then you will know that our latest Jew-hater is, basically, talking BS. Dangerous BS. Malevolent BS. And even if he poses as an opponent of Islam and of the Jihad, he is busy furthering the Jihad against the Jews with every posting he makes.

You wrote: Israelis need to give up on the concept of a Greater Israel.

Greater Israel ...??? What are you talking about? Israel occupies one-tenth of one per cent of the land surface of the Middle East. That's the tiniest Greater Whatever I've ever heard of.

You are, of course, a lefty apologist who has swallowed all the shit whole about Iraeli 'expansion' and 'settlements' etc.

Instead of the Israelis giving up on the so-called concept of a Greater Israel, why can't Hamas give up the Islamic agenda of committing genocide against the Jews?

That would be a giant step toward peace!

You're a clown!

@dumbledoorsarmy (what an odd handle),

'Jew-hater,' 'antisemite,' etc. are really the counterpart of 'Islamophobe'--an attempt to shut down legitimate criticism, with some silly epithet. Resorting to such name-calling is really pretty pathetic. Actually, I have Jewish ancestors, think Zionism is a logical ideology, and--contrary to 'Jew-hating'--fantasize about Dianna Agron, Scarlett Johansen, and Emmy Rossum on a regular basis. Israel is also a democratic and relatively pluralistic country. But the fact of the matter is that Canada, the U.S., and Europe are majority Christian societies (there is no such thing as 'Judeo-Christian'), and the well-being of Israel is pretty low on the list of Christiandom's priorities, particularly given current economic and political realities.

The reality is that Israel's Knesset is being held hostage by a proportional voting system that turns a fringe party (Shas), with single-digit polling, into a kingmaker. No government coalition in the Knesset can form without the support of these wackos. And that means policies like support for settlement construction, and the exemption of the Haredi population (who are building the settlements) from military duty AND taxes. Most Israelis actually support a two-state policy, and do not support the construction of settlements, or the wacky religious fundamentalist fantasy of a Greater Israel.

The reality is that Israel has zero strategic significance to the United States, or any other Western country. The country has no natural resources and is critically dependent on foreign aid, in order to sustain both its economy and military. Support for Israel is basically nil outside of a small Jewish minority and s fringe of millenarian Protestant fundamentalists in the U.S. The dire realities of America's financial situation, war-weariness, and general apathy and disgust over the decades-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict mean that Israel can NOT count on neverending support from the U.S. Any military support, in the event of a regional war, is out of the question. Remember that even American Jews voted overwhelmingly for Obama-Biden--placing economic priorities over America's Israel policy. And boneheaded moves by the Israeli government--like spying on America, selling donated weapons to China, and siding with losing Presidential candidates--have not endeared the country to American policymakers.

Israel needs to admit that a Greater Israel is just a fantasy of ultra-orthodox lunatics, that its political system and favouritism toward the Haredim is leading to deep fractures in Israeli society, that the country's military and foreign policy is getting it nowhere, and that the country has taken the generosity of friends like the U.S. for granted. There never will be a Greater Israel, the Palestinians aren't going to move en masse to Jordan, and America won't keep cutting multibilion dollar aid cheques, or render military aid. Unless there is a stable, secular Palestinian state, with clearly-defined borders, Israel is in a very precarious position, security-wise. I wish the state of Israel well, but the country has been continuing along a very dangerous road.

I wish the state of Israel well, but the country has been continuing along a very dangerous road.

You wish the state of Israel well???? What a joke. Must have burnt your fingertips typing that.

So defending your very existence is "continuing along a very dangerous road"

Blame Israel for defending themselves. No chance.

This is Jihad Watch, not Loon watch. Go back to your buddies.

To"me.yahoo"
I enjoy reading your incisive posts. You are obviously well informed and intelligent. Thank you for taking the time to share your insights and opinions. I encourage you to continue to comment here.
While I value your contributions you probably realize that few other Jwatch commenters will appreciate them, much less agree with them. Thanks to RS's scholaship Jwatch has helped me to learn about the ideology of Islam and how that influences mideast politics and I am grateful for that, but I find the majority of Jwatch commenters uninformed and plainly nonsensical about politics in general. Hopefully, your posts will ratchet up the level of discussions.

Me thinks that behind the moniker me.yahoo-one and me.yahoo-two hides the same yahoo.

You wrote, among other innacuracies: 'The country (Israel) has no natural resources and is critically dependent on foreign aid, in order to sustain both its economy and military.'

Rubbish! Israel's GDP was 245 billion dollars the last time I looked, and she has recently discovered massive quanitites of gas and oil in the Med and on land. She will start exporting in 2014.

Israel is rich, rich, rich! And good luck to her!

Furthermore, your tired old lie that religious wackos are in control of Israel's government is a projection of the fact that Islam decides government policy for all the nutjobs like Hamas and Morsi.

You're a clown!

There's always something new on Jihad Watch.

November of 2012 has seen the unprecedented advent of the sly Islamopologist with the loooong string of insensible characters for a nickname, his comments trying to cloak his Islamopologism with seemingly reasonable sounding quasi-equivalencism, into whose layers of dough are snuck in little propaganda seeds guaranteed to stick in your teeth if they don't go down unbeknownst.

Nice punch to that sucker's glass jaw.

Our new Jihad Watch commenter, a regular Mister Mxyzptlk, AKA "https://me.yahoo.com/a/jn3RbDthtvWVAf4SjINGi9CXvxDuiL5_YGM-#76700", in his reply to dumbledoresarmy's comment, writes:

@dumbledoorsarmy (what an odd handle)...

Talk about the pot handle calling the kettle black!

(Note also his curious dyslexia in misspelling her nickname; another trait that Islamopologists seem to have.)

Oh, and another thing: Israel should expand into a Greater Israel -- conquering and colonizing the entire Levant, including Lebanon, Syria and Jordan and perhaps a chunk of Egypt and Iraq. If Isreal did this, those regions would finally enjoy peace, liberty and prosperity (after the Muslim usurpers of those regions were ejected, that is).

My prior user name was darmanad. When this site experienced technical difficulty I registered with a yahoo Id as shown. If there is a way change my user name I haven't discovered it nor do I think it teribly important. So much for conspiracy intrigues.

Many of the most ardent commenters here are simply the opposite side of the Islamic fanatic coin. What they say and how they say it is mostly ignorant nonsense. For example, the Jews should colonize the entire "Levant" or that the Arabs who live in the areas are not entitled to their own prospering state, or that the latter would not go a long way to resolving conflict in the region.

Many of the most ardent commenters here are simply the opposite side of the Islamic fanatic coin. What they say and how they say it is mostly ignorant nonsense.

The "Islamic fanatic coin" openly calls for removing the "Zionist Entity", better known as Israel, from the face of earth by using all possible methods, however savage, preferably by slaughtering babies, children, women and elderly. On innumerable occasions "the coin" has engaged in such atrocities and is looking forward to carry out more of them.

Now in order for "some ardent commenters" here to be the ""mirror side of the Islamic fanatic coin" it would be to call for Jews to wanton murder the innocent Arabs and turn the "Levant" into a Jewish colony.

I expect you to back up your claim by identifying these commenters, so the owner of this site may ban them from appearing.

So do please go ahead.

If you can't provide the names and quotes then I must conclude you are a lowlife stinking liar.

Fitzgerald: It's not all about Israel

Many learned analysts continue to insist that if the U.S. would only modify its policies regarding Israel, the global jihad would end. Here, Jihad Watch Board Vice President Hugh Fitzgerald places the ongoing jihad against Israel in its larger context:

The Arab war against Israel is a classic Jihad. It can be called the Lesser Jihad, and began before the advent of OPEC oil money, and the mass migration of Muslims behind Infidel (enemy) lines. It began because Israel is in the midst of the dar al-Islam and is an Infidel state run by the heretofore despised Jews -- a particularly intolerable affront.
But the Lesser Jihad against Israel is merely a subset of the Greater Jihad against non-Muslims in general; it is not, as appeasers of the Throw-Israel-to-the-Wolves variety argue, a substitute for it. The larger Infidel world is now subject to what can no longer be hidden: the classic Jihad to spread Islam until it covers the globe, and Islam and Muslims everywhere dominate. To many non-Muslims, this seems to be a fantastic dream. But it is not. Do the demographic math. In Holland, thirty years ago, there were 15,000 Muslims. Today, there are one million -- and the country is a much more unpleasant, expensive, and dangerous place as a result, and the Dutch do not know what to do.

In France, there are 5-7 million Muslims. Some "integrate." Some (especially Berbers) even leave Islam. But most do not. And there is always the possibility that the seemingly well-integrated may, for obscure as well as obvious reasons, and for personal as well as larger political reasons, "revert" to "immoderate" Islam. The same is true in Great Britain, Spain, Germany, and Belgium. Italy seems, for various peculiar reasons, the least likely to exhibit appeasement. Andreotti, that famous crook, was pro-Arab and anti-Israel merely out of the usual financial considerations, and not, one suspects, out of some failure to understand Islam: he was too intelligent for that, but may have suppressed his understanding because he felt the Arabs were too rich to offend, and he could not conceive that Islam was a civilizational threat -- possibly out of contempt for Islam itself.

Though very few would recognize it, the Infidels of Europe in fact owe the Israelis a debt. For it is the Israelis who, like a lightning rod, have until recently borne the brunt of Arab and Muslim hatred and attention. Only now, with the first feeble moves to constrain Islam and Muslm power in Europe (and the word "feeble" fits), are some in Europe beginning to look at the history of Jihad, to read Bat Ye'or on the treatment of non-Muslims, and to rediscover the texts.
These texts show that Jihad is not an intermittent but a constant feature of Islam, that it is not tangential but central, and that whenever Jihad seemed to disappear as a motivating force, it was only because Muslims were in a state either of contented ignorance about the outside world (as in a village under Ottoman rule), or were too obviously lacking in the wherewithal to conduct Jihad. But neither of those conditions, which alone explain the absence of the call to Jihad, any longer obtains. Now the wherewithal exists; it is the revenues from an accident of geology. The knowledge of the non-Muslim world also exists; indeed, Muslims have been permitted by non-Muslims to move en masse behind what the Muslims at least (or most of them) can only regard as enemy lines -- without that enemy comprehending what it has done to itself.

The Lesser Jihad against Israel is simply part of the Greater Jihad against all non-Muslims. And so are those other Lesser Jihads, such as that carried on against Hindus in Pakistan, where they have been persecuted and driven out; in Bangladesh -- ditto; in the Indian-controlled parts of Kashmir; and in India itself. Muslims view these various local jihads as related. They have no hesitation in mouthing over and over again the list: Palestine, Iraq, Kashmir, Bosnia, and so on. These are the places where the Infidels are militarily superior. But there are other Jihads within countries where the Muslims have been and remain superior. Such, for example, is the campaign of murder against Christians in the Sudan; the persecution and smaller-scale massacres in Nigeria (the "Jihad" against the Ibos and other Christians led to the declaration by the latter of their independence), with the Biafran War leading to a million Ibo deaths; and the jihad in Indonesia, where the war against the Christians first in East Timor -- illegally seized by Indonesia -- and then in the Moluccas and other islands continues wherever and whenever it can.

This is exactly what Arabs and Muslism, though they see the connections, do not wish the Infidels to see. They do not want us to read what is stated in Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira about Infidels and what is to be done, or what in fact was done, to them. They do not want you to read about the real (as opposed to the falsified) history of the treatment of all non-Muslims -- Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, Hindus, Buddhists, Confucians, under Muslim rule.

Western students of the origins of Islam have no difficulty showing that the belief-system is a mixture of pre-Islamic Arab pagan lore, with stories and figures appropriated, often in distorted fashion, from both Judaism and Christianity. It was the perfect vehicle for justifying Arab conquest and promoting further conquest: something that "looked familiar" to those who were richer and culturally more advanced but militarily less organized and powerful. Some of those could be convinced over time that this uncreated and eternal belief-system was the true version of their inferior, distorted religions (Judaism, Christianity). This view, combined with the steady pressure of the cruel status of the dhimmi, inevitably led over time to a falling-away from the dhimmis' original beliefs and their acceptance of Islam -- not by all, not even by most, but steadily, a little all the time. And when one combines the grim legal status of non-Muslims with the physical insecurity, the mass killings that could occur whenever a local Muslim population was whipped up (as with the massacre of all the Jews of Granada in 1066) and whenever it could be claimed that this or that non-Muslim was not complying with the rules that governed the "protected peoples," the entire non-Muslim community to which such an individual belonged could be made to pay the price.

When will a sufficient number of people in the Western world, in the press and television, and in governments, begin to fully grasp that Islam is not merely a religion but a geopolitical program for conquest?

please do me a favor. come back tomorrow around 5pm and post. Today is only Thursday and it is only 1pm. I can not hit the botelle now and deal with your post.

No, thomas was asking if anyone here advocated massacring Muslims. I only advocate forced repatriation slash (pun intended) deportation.

P.S.:

As thomas said:

Then our Mister Mxyzptlk, AKA "https://me.yahoo.com/a/jn3RbDthtvWVAf4SjINGi9CXvxDuiL5_YGM-#76700", ignores the part about wantonly murder (including what I didn't quote above -- preferably by slaughtering babies, children, women and elderly ), and instead tries to do a little Kitman-Strawman.

@me.yahoo,
I was away from the computer so I missed your reply, but I see that LemonLime has dealt with your clumsy Kitman-Strawman shtick swiftly and competently.

Well, my intuition didn't fail me this time: you are a lowlife stinking liar.

nice riposte to that sly BS artist.

Lemonlime, ThomasH - great answers to YGM 76700, and to 'darmanad' who very foolishly backed him up.

Re Israel, what matters is what generals call 'strategic depth' and 'military high ground'.

Posters less informed than yourselves may care to click on the two links I will now provide, to get a sense of just how small and terribly vulnerable Israel - as currently territorially defined - actually is.

The one they will find here shows the whole of Israel, and exactly how much time people in different parts of the country have, in which to flee to shelter from incoming rockets of whatever sort.

Redefining Normal

The one they will find here

http://israelisoldiersmother.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/one-minute-one-million-people.html

"one minute: one million people"

shows that Muslim control of the Gaza Strip enables them to terrorise a huge area of southern Israel.

And therefore shows that if the Gaza Strip were retaken - and it would be in defensive warfare - and levelled, and incorporated into Israel (Jews lived there in the 16th century, the great Sabbath hymn Ya ribon olam was composed in Gaza) and every Muslim in it (the jihad gang bosses, their troops, their foot soldiers, and their heavily-brainwashed seething-with-orthodox-Islamic-Jew-hatred human shields/ support personnel, namely, every Gazan Muslim civilian,) driven out into Egypt, then the area of Israel that Muslims would have easy ability to strike would perceptibly diminish.

Reading Ion Idriess's account of the 'Palestine' campaign in 1917 - 'The Desert Column' - taught me the military significance of Gaza. Gaza, as well as Beersheba, had to be taken, before the Ottoman Turkish Muslims could be defeated.

And although I wouldn't go so far as you, LL, in envisaging what territory Israel needs to hold - and from which it must evict every last Mohammedan Fifth Columnist - in order to survive longterm as a free non-Muslim country, I do believe that they *have* to have the Gaza Strip, the Jordan Valley with the hills of Judea and Samaria, *all* of Jerusalem (most especially Mount Zion, for during the period 1948-1967 Muslim snipers in the Old City regularly took potshots at Jews in the newer, Jewish-controlled half of Jerusalem), and the Golan Heights (from which, so long as Muslims controlled it, the Muslims used to take murderous pot shots at Jewish villages and farms below; Israel cannot and must not ever surrender the Golan Heights).

All of those places constitute Military High Ground.

It would be best if they also retook the Sinai (and best of all, the Suez: all Infidels would benefit if that vital waterway were safely in Infidel hands) and, again, drove out ALL the Mohammedans into Egypt, every last one; this would, incidentally, create a place to which, should jihad genocide begin against the Copts of Egypt, Copts who were willing to shed dhimmi-like antisemitism, and make alliance with the Jews, could flee for refuge.

I don't think Israel has the means to 'colonise' Lebanon as you, LL, suggested. They do strike me as being content with the historic area that their books know as Land of Canaan, and as Eretz Israel.

However (and note, this is all *totally* hypothetical, and very improbable under present circumstances) they could (as to some extent they did in southern Lebanon, in the first Lebanon War in the early 1980s) help the Maronites and other Christians of Lebanon to liberate and to defend themselves. The ideal - per miraculum - would be a fortified secular/ Christian enclave - extending from Mont Liban down to the sea, and including what is now 'southern Lebanon' (infested with Hizbollah jihad rats' nests). Population exchange could take place: all Christians from Syria and Iraq could flee into the new Christian/ secular Lebanon, which they would then help to develop and defend; and all *Muslims*, whether Shiite or Sunni, would have to be booted out *into* Syria and Iraq.

I'm not a general; I'm just a middle-aged Australian housewife who's had a lifelong interest in history and geography. Geography, as much as demography, is - to a large extent- destiny.

Switzerland would never have become Switzerland if they had not had the natural fortress of the Alpine massif. Neither could Abyssinia/ Ethiopia (the core area thereof, right up on their high mountain plateau at the source of the Blue Nile) have survived as a Christian island in a Muslim sea, had they not had their fertile, well-watered natural fortress to live in.

It's best, however, besides having some mountains as natural forts (and sources of fresh water), to also have access to the sea - which Israel does already, which it would have even more of if it had Sinai, and which a Christian Lebanon would also have.
