With all the terrible things that are going on in the Middle East, as in the above article, and other places of the world because of Islam it very much should be noted that the god of Islam is not the God of the Bible. Though the passing of time it has become widely accepted that the word Allah is just the Arabic word for God. This started when truth compromising Bible "translators" substitued the word Allah where the word God should have been used in the Arabic translation of the Bible. Furthermore, in the gossary in the book ASSASSINS! by Haha Lung defines Allah as the "Pre-Islamic Lunar god; the god of Islam." Likewise, the book INSIDE ISLAM by Reza f. sAFA ON PAGES 22,23. READS "In pre-Islamic times both Allah-worship and Ball-worship involved the worship of the sun, the moon and the stars which defines them as astral religions.[Which are condemned in the Bible, Second Kings 21:3,5 23:5. Second Chronicles 33:5.] The cresent moon, which was the symbol of moon worship is also the sysbol of Islam." In short, the god of Islam is not the God of the Bible.

Just to give an idea of the flavour, this is how Hugh begins (he is commenting sarcastically on all the nonsense talk about 'disproportion' that is beginning to creep into the news coverage):

A PS. At least one BBC journalist did say that the rockets from Gaza had somewhat reduced today. He also said "there could be several reasons for that and one could be that they are running out of rockets". Well that fits. Islamic rules say only agree a truce if "on the back foot". Then re-group and re-arm - and of course start again later. Pity Western politicians refuse to understand islamic doctrine.
I'm English so perhaps I have an anglocentric view. As I recall Balfour proposed splitting the area of the British Mandate, collectively known as palestine, into Jewish lands and Arab lands. Everything West of the Jordan would be become Israel and everything East would become Trans Jordan. All the area was sparsely populated then - 1917 - and much of the land was by then poor - particularly because of nomadic arabs who, since 7th century muslim invasion, had progressively destroyed agriculture - as they did everywhere they invaded.
During the British Mandate some significant improvement took place and this attracted Arab immigrants looking for work (yes they actually worked then)
WWII of course bankrupted the UK and British resolve evaporated particularly because of both Jewish and Arab terrorists. Britain handed the decision to the UN - at American insistence. Committees of course will make a cock-up of designing even a bikeshed and they did that big-time. Hence the currently stupid apportionment of land and the conflicts. The Balfour proposal would have been far more sensible. Might not have totally stopped Arab muslim aggression though. Just my two pen'orth (two pennies' worth)

This will be hard to spin so that the "Palestinians" have the moral high ground, so the mainstream media will probably just ignore it.

No need to "spin" anything. A fine example is the earlier piece on Beeb bigotry, to demonstrate that once a narrative has been promoted it may be embroidered for further ideological gain, but never needs to be defended.

It does not matter if it is wrong, slanted or more often an outright lie, since Muslims, the Lib Left and other Jew haters will still believe it.

We get it. We really do get it. Islam and its believers are bad. Now let's move on. Should there not be a 2 state solution, and if so, how should that come about?

I don't disagree with much of what you have written here. The PA /Abbas are a secular entity and a potential peace partner, but I agree they are losing popular support. The reason they are losing it is because of the distorted Muslim view of the "heroics' of Hamas. If Israel and Hamas were to cease firing, it would benefit the PA/Abbas and anyone who bubbles up to the top from the PA to replace Abbas.

Above, 'darmanad' claims that "The PA /Abbas are a secular entity and a potential peace partner".

I beg to differ.
