India: Muslim mob rampages following Friday prayers

How odd that they came right from the mosque after imbibing Islam's message of peace and ended up rampaging. How did the come to misunderstand Islam right after hearing its soothing teachings? And why do governing authorities in India, Europe and the U.S. never seriously ponder such questions?

"Hyderabad violence escalates, 11 hurt," from Indian Express, November 17 (thanks to Lookmann):

In an escalation of the violence in Old City of Hyderabad, at least 11 people were injured as police confronted mobs indulging in stone-pelting and arson following afternoon prayers at the Mecca Masjid.

The mob set several vehicles on fire and damaged others. Skirmishes have been taking place in and around Charminar and other parts of the Old City area for the past few days over alleged expansion of Bhagyalakshmi temple abutting the Charminar monument.

On Monday, the AIMIM had snapped ties with the Congress government at the state and Centre, citing the communal tension, and accusing it of “encouraging pro-Hindutva forces”.

On Friday, hundreds of people emerging from the mosque started pelting stones, attacked security personnel and went on a rampage when they were prevented from going towards the Charminar to offer ‘salam’.

AIMIM (All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen) chief Asaduddin Owaisi had warned police on Wednesday not to stop people from offering the ‘salam’ after Friday prayers.

The violence occurred despite Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma holding peace committee meetings on Thursday evening and community leaders assuring that they would not incite violence. Additional forces and paramilitary personnel had been posted in the area....

From V S Naipaul, 'Among the Believers', part IV, Indonesia, section 7, 'the interchangeable revolutions'.

What an Indonesian Muslim said to V S Naipaul:

"One day the students from the pesantren [that is, from the madrasa - dda] will come to Jakarta and burn down this nice hotel.

"Islam can become a cocaine. It makes you high.

"You go to that mosque, and you get high.

"And when you get high, everything that happens becomes Allah's will".

Muslims swarming out of the mosque on Fridays, high as kites on a heady blend of hate, and adrenaline, and testosterone, and an unearned sense of total entitlement and of inassuagable grievance.

India is a very creaky democracy, and is one major recession away from blowing apart. Religious divisions are a big issue. Aside from the Muslim population, there are the Sikhs, and Babbar Khalsa is a serious terrorist threat. Thanks to liberal immigration policies and pandering to ethnic voters and business lobbies, there is a large Sikh diaspora in Canada that actively supports Babbar Khalsa. And the Hindu majority treats everyone like dirt, including Christians:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Christian_violence_in_India

What's especially scary is India's runaway overpopulation, combined with the nuclear-armed country's reliance on 'fossil' (deep, non-renewable) aquifers, for much of its water needs. These will be out of the picture in a generation, and God help us then.

From the article:

"Skirmishes have been taking place in and around Charminar and other parts of the Old City area for the past few days over alleged expansion of Bhagyalakshmi temple abutting the Charminar monument."

Muslims, it seems, can dish it out but they can't take it.

What we have here is an absolutely enormous Muslim edifice, near which - very near which (and this is really rather brave of them!) Hindus have dared to sanctify (or recognise as significant) a tiny area and build a little temple...which they are making a little bit bigger.

Muslims, of course, all over the world, wherever they have either conquered or are in process of islamoforming and extending and seizing 'turf' for the Ummah, have a habit of building mosques, the bigger the better, as close as possible (usually threateningly and noisily and annoyingly close) to significant Infidel shrines/ temples/ churches or other significant institutions.

More than a coincidence: Minarets, geography and power
By SETH J. FRANTZMAN

Excerpt: "A survey of historical placement of mosques in important cities and newly conquered Muslim lands, as well as a survey of the placement of mosques in diverse neighborhoods, shows that their placement is anything but random and that **strikingly often they are built next to the houses of prayer or the neighborhoods of non-Muslims** {my emphasis - dda}.

And such mosques tend to be - illegally, often - expanded, as fast as the Muslims can manage it.

So, to get back to Hyderabad: it seems that when the *Hindus* do to Muslims something that resembles what Muslims feel fully entitled to do to non-Muslims, the Muslims get all het up. How *dare* anybody build a Hindu temple, however small, next to a mosque!! (Never mind that Muslims have *destroyed* thousands upon thousands of Hindu - and Buddhist - temples all over India, and built mosques *right on top of the ruins*...we're not supposed to think about that, Muslims are *entitled* to do that...).

The Charminar monument, to judge from its wikipedia entry,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charminar

was built in the 16th century: it is a menacing piece of typical Muslim ostentation,

with four minarets, and a mosque in the top floor.

More: "The monument overlooks another and grand mosque called Makkah Masjid."

So we actually have *two* huge mosques in Hyderabad - which, incidentally, in a sourcebook I have, is listed as being - about ten years ago - 'nearly 40 % Muslim'. That means that Hyderabad is majority non-Muslim. The whole of Andra-Pradesh state, by the way, is about 89 percent Hindu, Muslims in the state as a whole comprise about 9 percent, and Christians come in at about 2 percent.

With 40 percent of the population of Hyderabad being Muslim, the Muslims who are getting angry about the Hindus' building and extending of a (very small and not particularly ostentatious) temple are behaving as if Hyderabad is Muslim owned-and-ruled; as if the city is theirs, and as if sharia applies, sharia that forbids non-Muslims from either building new places of worship, or repairing (or extending) existing ones.

"How odd that they came right from the mosque after imbibing Islam's message of peace and ended up rampaging."

Muhammad sent a friend of his, Umair Bin A’addy, in the middle of the night to kill Asma the poetess. He drew a sword into her chest while she was breastfeeding her baby.
Then... he went to "pray" the fajr (dawn) prayer with Muhammad!!!

The only prayer accepted by Allah is the one that smells innocent blood.

ladies and gentlemen, observe our string-of-letters-YGM disinformation-spreader, who has been so busy in threads relating to Israel, now trying some 'split the camp' tactics vis a vis the West and India.

One gets the strong impression that his real aim is to split the camp of the Infidels: to 1/ divide the West from Israel and now, 2/ prevent any sort of rapprochement between western non-Muslims, and Indian non-Muslims. So he heavily emphasises the negatives, and having in numerous repetitious and sourly negative postings represented Israel as riven by social/ religious division, on the brink of social and economic collapse, he now represents *India* in precisely the same way. He's saying to Westerners: "India is a basket case! Stay away from them!"

Of course, it is interesting to reflect that although all the world's major free and semi-free non-Muslim countries have plenty of problems, those problems are in general rather less intractable and a good deal less severe than the extreme division, violent infighting, and total ecological, moral, social, political and intellectual collapse of the *Muslim* world...

You wrote about India: 'Religious divisions are a big issue.'

Islam's division of the world into Dar al-Harb and Dar al-Islam, them and us, effectively, is the biggest religious problem facing the world today.

Are Sikhs firing rockets into Israel, or are Muslims doing the firing?

You're a clown!

@ dda & David Douse,
thanks a lot for exposing this troll.
one danny gone, many coming now!
is not this what jihadists always boast?
that they'll keep on coming?
yet we march on undeterred!

Just going by wiki, Hyderabad is 55% Hindu, 40% Muslim and the remaining 5% other - Christian, Sikh, Buddhist and whatever. So the description of Hyderabad as a 40% Muslim city is misleading, since it serves to create an impression that Muslims are a plurality, if not a majority in Hyderabad, which is not the case.

I would be interested to know the Shia-Sunni split in that city. The old Bahamani sultanate as well as the sultanate of Golconda were Shia, while the Nizami Hyderabad was Sunni. Both Mecca Masjid and Charminar are Shia monuments, having been made by the former. If the Shia-Sunni split could be caused here, it would do wonders.

As for the troll above, David and DDA did a good expose on him.
