Iran crows that Israel accepting ceasefire is sign of weakness

Yes, but the weakness is on the part of Barack Obama and Netanyahu, not the Israeli people. "Iran claims Israel accepting ceasefire is sign of weakness," from AGI, November 22 (thanks to Inexion):

(AGI) Tehran, Nov. 22 - According to the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Israel accepting a ceasefire in Gaza shows that the Jewish state has grown "increasingly weak". In a statement to Irib news channel, Saeed Jalili said "accepting defeat after eight days means that the Zionist regime is becoming increasingly weak". Mr Jalili also congratulated the Palestinians on the ceasefire as that "means that counter-resistance is getting stronger". He also added that Iran will continue to proudly support groups fighting the Jewish state and urged Palestinians to stay united, as the "only path to freedom for Palestine". . .

Among the many faults of those deluded people who go by the name of "Muslim" is a pathetic bragging tendency. Just one more reason to see Islam for what it is---a great and tragic error (and era) in the history of man.

Another example of this Muslim "bragging": the sexual power of their prophet.
Actually, he was sexually impotent, didn't have any children from his 61 women, asked his allah for some celestial Viagra, used to wear women's clothing and used to "think" he had sexual relations with his wives while he actually had not.

Keep bragging Muslims, keep bragging. The world has read your books and history, you better keep your heads down.

http://crossmuslims.blogspot.com/2011/01/prophetess-of-islam.html

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Israel has to take back not only Gaza, but the Sinai. There is no other way, strategically. Israel’s southern border as it is now isn’t defensible. And screw Barack Obama. Israel has nothing to lose there. He’s out to get you one way or the other. I apologize for my country’s stupidity.

The swagger of both Islamista and Israel supporters aside, these are the realities that prompted a truce:

*Though Israel has a formidable army and air force, it is critically dependent on fuel imports: almost all of its oil, and about 70% of its natural gas. These fuel sources either come from Israel's neighbors, or through them (e.g., Caspian oil). Yes, there have been discoveries of offshore reserves, but these are undeveloped, and there is no appetite for investors in such a volatile region. Israel also depends on imports for most of its food--like other overpopulated, mostly arid countries in the region, the country lacks the arable land and water to feed itself.

*Turkey is now an Islamist and very pro-Palestinian country, and relations have seriously deteriorated since the Gaza flotilla raid. Turkey has the ability to block food and fuel imports to Israel. And, unlike Israel, Turkey is a NATO member and major EU trading partner.

*Unlike 1973, Iran is now a very nasty and well-armed, battle-hardened Islamist theocracy, and Reakpolitik-practicing Ba'athists are out of power in the region. The militaries of countries like Egypt have significantly improved since the Yom Kippur War. Any direct military attack on either Iran, or Egypt would have fatal retaliatory consequences for Israel.

*Compared to 1973, the economies of most of the Western world are even more dependent on foreign oil, and in very fragile states. Oil price shocks would mean a recessionary slide. The West, including the U.S., can NOT afford an embargo, and OPEC countries wielded that cudgel.

*Over the years, Israel squandered much of its goodwill with the United States. From the USS Liberty attack, to the endless spying incidents, to Netanyahu's ill-considered interference in the U.S. campaign (e.g., backing the Birther movement), America's patience has worn thin. A recent poll has put U.S. public support for Israel at 57%--still a majority, but a very significant slide from just a few years ago. And even mainstream Protestant churches have questioned U.S. aid to Israel. Israel is actually very low on America's list of international priorities, especially with the deteriorating situation in Mexico.

*The U.S. has just finished a bloody (over 4,000 troops dead) and costly (over a trillion spent) misadventure in Iraq, and there is ZERO public appetite for another war in the Middle East. Israel could not expect anything more than tepid moral support from the U.S., in the event of a regional war.

*Unlike the United States, Muslim countries (including former Soviet republics, and booming economies like Indonesia and Malaysia) have deep pockets and large pools of cannon fodder, willing and able to contribute to a war against Israel.

Even if some hawks in the IDF (see another Jihad Watch post) have itchy trigger fingers, or some Revelations-thumping Evangelicals wanted an invasion of Gaza, or more, Netanyahu wouldn't give it to them. The geopolitical and financial realities of 2012 are nowhere what they were in 1973.

i diagree my friend. Islamist mentality is as soon you give in a little they see that as a weakness.Israel f...up here they should have destroyed them.
m

I don’t think this is a serious post. But it certainly highlights part of the defeatist mentality that needs to be overcome if we are to be victorious over this enemy.

I don't see where we disagree, miriam rove. Yes, Israel should have destroyed the bastards but Hamas bragging that Israel is weak isn't accurate. Israel is not weak, only mistaken. There's a difference.

You tendentiously paint again a weak picture for the West. Yes, the West does have problems, but the decrepit Islamic world has far, far more. The only thing the West really is lacking is the awareness in the aggregate that Islam is evil. Should the West finally understand that Islam must be combatted and even destroyed, then it will be the Islamic world that is in true danger. Right now, Islam's greatest strength, really its only one, is that it still fools way too many people into thinking that it's a good thing. Well, it isn't.

I wrote Hamas when I should have written Iran, but I'm sure Hamas is just as insufferable as Iran here.

I don’t think this is a serious post.

No, of course, it is not. It was comical on the first reading, but after being posted for the fifth time it is as mind numbing as it is pathetic.
Also I am not sure it is correct to ascribe defeatism to the author's mind as that would imply that although he doesn't believe in victory he nevertheless wishes for it.
But that man yearns and hopes for Israel's defeat and like someone involved in cargo cult mumbles the same incantations and spells over and over again, hoping for the object he so eagerly desires to materialize.

You shouldn't take Muslims seriously what they say. Mohammad recommended drink camel piss for good health, and he drank it often too.

Muslim Media Told To Be More Professional

"... He emphasized the role of the Muslim media in confronting the false and unjust allegations against Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Islam in a proactive manner by making use of all available resources.

“All Muslims are now encircled by suspicions and accusations. Being the media leaders of the Muslim world how can we defend ourselves,”...

... “We have a great role to play in defeating the campaigns that smear Islam and Muslims... ”...

... Addressing the meeting, OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu called on member states to exert all efforts to move forward in joint action and make available all necessary financial wherewithal to achieve that goal....

... Ihsanoglu reminded the audience that information, in both its positive and negative aspects, plays a very important and effective role in this era. It also has a direct impact in escalating situations and stoking up conflicts, especially when it comes to distortion and defamation of religion and religious symbols"...

Will the "islamophobia" ever end?.

Iran's comments don't amount to much. The Palestinians have not improved their position. If they break the ceasefire again the world will be even wearier of their lies. They have now definitely eclipsed the PA, so less pressure on Israel to negotiate (give up more territory), since Hamas cannot be negotiated with. Part of the deal is said to be that Hamas will be stopped from acquiring new weapons, and that will work for Israel after Iran is attacked and Hamas will have less means to launch missiles at the Israelis.

They will always crow they won unless they are totally and completely chastised. That time will come, too.

From: "Infidelity: 900 Days in Saudi Arabia

XI

Palestine; the so-called Palestinians.

There is no such a thing as a Palestinian just as there is no such thing as a “Roman”, in the sense of a state or empire anymore. The Roman Empire held the name of that great city.

They’re Italians, now, though.

The “Palestinians” have never been anything; they have never had a “home city”, an empire or a supposedly occupied country. The people who claim they are Palestinians are, simply, bloodthirsty, Jew-hating Muslims who have been kicked out of Jordan for trying to assassinate a Head of State and for the same reason in Egypt - (successfully, though) - vis-a-vis the Muslim Brotherhood’s sneaky murder of Anwar Sadat.

Interestingly, Saudi is crawling with so-called “palestinian expats”. Yet, the curious thing is that none of these people actually possess a “Palestinian” passport! No thing exists, of course, and any so-called Palestinian in Saudi carries a Jordanian Passport, without exception.

Once, the question, “Why?” was posed to one of those creepy guys with whom I worked.

He stuttered and stammered something about the Israelis; but he was also asked if he, then, thought of himself as a dual-citizen. He looked at me silently; stupidly. His head made a funny, half-circular movement as he struggled to answer. That movement – that unique, Middle Eastern gesture of dissonance – became as familiar as a shrug of the shoulders is to the Infidel Professor of the West.

This is all at the heart of the problems in the Middle East. The “palestinians” are the whipping boys of the other Arabs. They are particularly useful idiots for the Saudi Arabs who publicly support them, but in private, describe them as a “garbage people”.

Indeed, those very same words were uttered to me, once, in an old Mercedes during a test drive with a man whose last name will be kept private but whose first name was, incredibly, Riyadh!

XII

Riyadh was one of those oily Saudi Liasons working at the university, mainly, as a “Fixer”; the local expert who knows the ins and outs, speaks English well enough and native Arabic, of course. Once, I went to Riyadh with marital problems on my mind. He simply laughed and said, “Man is Man, David! – Man is Man! Who cares what wife thinks?!”

He would allow you to visit him at his villa, but you wouldn’t get to meet or see the one wife he had. He seemed to be perpetually in search of a second one, though. He often received cell calls from young “prospects”, and even put me on the line to talk with one, one night in his car, cruising around the city.

I remember Riyadh grinning mischievously at me from the driver’s seat while I listened to her bad English on the I-Phone. Her name was Dalia, as I recall.

I think Riyadh had five or six little Mohammedists running around his villa, though I don’t remember exactly.

There is no pleasing these people. If you fight them, you're the aggressor. If you agree to a ceasefire, you're weak. It is like the saying, you cannot win an argument with the devil. You just have to realise you are dealing with evil. You have to do what is right without expecting any applause.

Internal emails offer details on Osama Bin Laden's burial

"... Bin Laden's body was washed, wrapped in a white sheet and packed into a weighted bag as a military officer read prepared religious remarks translated into Arabic by a native speaker, according to emails obtained by the wire service"

Hmmm... "religious remarks in Arabic", obviously we're talking about Shintoism... or Buddhism... or Catholicism.

“Traditional procedures for Islamic burial was followed”... "

"Islamic burial"? bu... bu... but they told us that Osama Bin Laden, Al-Qaeda & Co. weren't Muslims in the first place, they told us these terrorists misunderstood Islam and hijacked it!. Oh, the buffoonery. Will it ever end?.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/emails-detail-bin-laden-burial-article-1.1206307

So, you trot out your tired. old mantra once more: Israel weak, West weak, no stomach for conflict, etc...

You're a clown! Hamas were pasted, blasted, turned to dust, by the fourth most powerful army in the world. Your blood thirsty loudmouth jihadist friends placed rocket launchers near schools, kindergartens, mosques and civilian built up areas. Fearless holy warriors, my ass!

But for Judaism's inherent humanity, Israel could swat Hamas like a fly.

And why was it that Israel had the intelligence and resources to build a hi-tech shield like Iron Dome with David's Sling to follow? And why was it that 90% of the rockets fired by the Hamas savages that Israel wanted to hit were brought down? Because Israel cares about her people, not like Hamas who is happy to put its civilian population up as human shields.

You're a red nosed, baggy trousered, wire wigged clown!

"Islam's greatest strength, really its only one, is that it still fools way too many people into thinking that it's a good thing. Well, it isn't."

No, I think Islam has two strengths (using that term loosely and amorally, as a quality that enables might, whether right or wrong):

1. what you described in the quote above -- namely, PC MC

and

2. their fanaticism, a raw power that also often fosters disorganization and centrifugally internecine disarray, but which nevertheless from our perspective on the receiving end, can result in tragic loss of life and destruction of property in great numbers, if we don't take it seriously to try to stop it before it happens.

Buraq, let's not continue to feed this particular troll, what do you say?

It's such a mindless one-trick pony and that one trick is all used up. Marisol was in the habit of removing redundant posts and Robert may just decide to get around to doing that as well. Until then, better to just ignore.

Robert, I and stand by a statement I made out here earlier:

This agreement will very quickly be overtaken by events (OBE). The events will be hamas firing more rockets.

From Bibi's perspective, this agreement is his cover to invade gaza when the rockets start getting lobbed into Israel again. He can say he went the extra mile for peace, but hamas wanted war. How many agreements have the various and sundry islamic terrorist groups violated over the years? Answer: all of them.

**************************************************

Netanyahu has not been weak here. The Israelis were very clearly prepping for an invasion.

If the invasion comes in the next weeks or months, what is the difference?

Israel is in this for the long haul. Bibi knows his primary responsibility is the safety of his people.

When hamas soon starts firing the rockets again, WHEN, not if, Israel will invade gaza.

If I may butt in...

The latter, without the former and its innumerable manifestations already fast embedded in the mind and spirit of the West, would be of no importance once the West ditches the PC MC and wakes up from its paralyzing hypnosis.

Islam's power vis a vis the West is not positively definable. It is only the flipside of the West's absence of the will to identify and then act against its enemy.

Your good self and other posters have advised me to stop responding to trolls who visit JW to stir up trouble.

I understand your point, however I worry that some innocent may happen by and read the plausible bilge posted by these clowns. That's one reason why I respond.

The other is that I sometimes have to do a bit of research on the Net to find precise answers to the points made in their posts. This involves a learning process for me. And I enjoy knocking down the clowns'argumentsm anyway! :))

For example, I have recently uncovered oodles of info about Israel's recent riches in oil and gas. Also, I had no idea before now that Israel is a world leader in waste water recycling technology.

The clowns will come to JW because they know JW is telling the truth. And the truth is the last thing Islam wants people to know!

My best wishes!

Yes thomas, but also vice versa. Definitely, the problem is our responsibibility to minimize, while it is their fault to cause and perpetuate.

I'm not sure I understand.

Well, Islam fools a lot of people in part precisely because of PC/MC and its fanaticism would not amount to much if the West knew what Islam was really about and knew what to do about it. Therefore, I would assert again that Islam's chief strength is how it fools people into believing it's a good thing, though a lot of people who are being fooled should have figured out things by now and so shame on them.

I have a feeling that if we looked very closely at the extant 'victims'' or 'targets'' accounts of the History of Jihad - including the jihad assailing (along with Muslims infiltrating and subverting) countries and societies well beyond 'the West', we would find that many other societies besides our own have been - by the use of various masks, camouflages, subterfuges, varying according to the nature of the targeted society - tricked into thinking..until it was too late, or very nearly too late - that Islam/ the Ummah was something other than what it is.

It all depends what one means by knowing Islam.
Consider that only a few decades the West knew much less about Islam than it knows now, yet it would be absolutely inconceivable that Islam, or if you want moslems, would be allowed to penetrate and manipulate our institutions, force us to accept their ways at the expense of ours, restrict our liberty in order to accommodate every moslem whim, respect moslem absurdities and tolerate their antics.

So does it mean, the more we know about Islam the less resolve we can muster before it? Hypothetically, yes. It is possible to that in the process of getting acquainted with a hitherto unknown entity we recognize it is impossible to win over it so accepting its supremacy is the reasonable thing to do. But this is not the case. We haven’t discovered anything about Islam that would make it unbeatable. On the contrary, we are superior in every sense in every area as never before. So what is that strange correlation between our increasing knowledge of Islam and surrendering to it?
I believe that as our knowledge of Islam increased our knowledge what WE are has decreased to the point we believe there is nothing worth knowing about ourselves. The historical West has yielded to unrelenting, crafty and underhanded onslaught of leftish, radically liberal, anti-Christian forces. The result is a loss of the awarenes of and pride in our national and cultural identity and cultivation and perverse celebration of historical “guilt” and debt we need to pay to non-Western cultures and ethnicities.

We follow the unending news of the daily moslem atrocities, educate ourselves on Mohammet kuran, sharia, taqyiyah, read about the newest moslem pogrom of Christians, Buddhists, Hindus animists and see in our own eyes the whole areas of what once was West Europe destroyed and turned into a moslems territory. Do we know more about it? But if so, where is the outrage? Where is the rage? Or at least why don’t we stop the invasion when we have all means to do it? Because of our treacherous governments? Not anymore. An entity that openly declares its multiculti goals and is nevertheless democratically elected to lead us can not be called treacherous. Except the “we” of today tht elect our government is not the “we” of yesterday. We ceased to be “we” when the bond with our past was broken. We learned everything what is about Islam and unlearned everything about ourselves. We can't regain our pride and our honour by studying islam.

I wrote:

"...only a few decades the West knew much less about Islam than it knows now"

It should be:

"...only a few decades ago the West knew much less about Islam than it knows now"

and, of course, I messed up the last paragraph.
It should read:
"We learned everything about Islam and unlearned everything about ourselves. We can't regain our pride and our honour by studying islam. And without these we can never repulse it.."

thomas, all your questions are answered by the PC MC dogma of Anti-Racism -- to which all you have to add is the perception that Muslims are a non-white collection of peoples & cultures.
