Islamophobia runs rampant: AP nixes use of word "Islamophobia"

This is quite a major development with regards to pulling ourselves out of the ominous era of political correctness that pointed towards a Dark Age.

Now what about Reuters and the rest? Will they suddenly adopt logic to their style?

I'm certain that few will notice how important this is, but it doesn't make it any less so.

What's next? Are they going to correctly refer to Islamic supremacists as Islamic supremacists instead of nonsensical non-words like Islamists?

Why are they doing this, since we all know the MSM as well trained lackeys of political clientelism and ardent supporters of the "grievance industry"?

Common sense? Could be..

Could it not also be that in decades past, not everyone in the press core was all too happy about this special piece of political correctness?
Could it be - at least in part - that the growing disenchantment with the so-called "Arab Spring" democratic reforms, tipped the balance in their favor to push for discarding the label?
And finally, might it be - in order to avert any impression of prejudice against Muslims - that the AP people then decided to throw some "gay supremacists" under the proverbial bus?

Apart from all that, this ditching of islamophobia is nice enough, but ultimately not that big a deal i.m.o.
Presstitutes change their tune, yes and? So did several politicians, like Frau Merckel and Monsieur Sarkozy, some time ago, voicing their opinion that "multiculturalism [in Europe shorthand for islamization] has failed".

Meanwhile, in our cities across the West, Islam creeps on..

What will increase the impact of this decision by the Associated Press is that it will be incorporated into the AP Style Book, which is the industrywide standard style reference work for many major newspapers and schools of journalism. So the decision will reach far beyond those writing and editing for the AP. I suppose Reuter has its own style book, and perhaps the BBC does as well, but I don't know. I do know that most papers in the United States tend to use the AP book, at least in theory. One of the reasons for this is that, as well as supplying most newspapers with the bulk of the stories and photos they print, wire services will now and then "pick up" local stories from member newspapers and redistribute them regionally, statewide, nationally or even internationally. This generally involves some re-editing, but the process is made easier if the original story is written within the parameters laid out in the AP Style Book.

Well, this is good news.

Still, the MSM—including AP—all too often whitewashes Islam and even full-on Jihad, and dismisses or even demonizes those who would stand against its depredations.

Jettisoning the bogus "Islamophobia", though, is a start.
