Again, what benefit accrues from blaming the "left"? The right, meaning the GOP, is the stalking ground of those Americans proclaiming a special relationship with an invisible friend from the spirit world. Is it a serious suggestion that those who cannot distinguish reality from make-believe are in a superior position to defend western pluralism?

If a persons is knowledgeable of a cause they are supporting or demonstrating about then they should be proudly capable of defending their positions. And they should not shy away from giving their opinions just because a particular media outlet has different sympathies.

Clearly those protesting here reflected not only a very slanted view of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict but also an overwhelming dhimmified ignorance of the problem.

Using Israel and its discordant relations with its neighbors as an illustration of Islam’s designs upon civilization is a depiction which is unacceptably limited, like the field of vision afforded by cheap binoculars.

First, the scope is infinitely more vast than that small strip of land that constitutes the Jewish state (All the world belongs to Allah and the Believers!), and

Israel simply does not appear to have clean hands. Those who question this can peruse Steven Spielberg’s Munich, specifically the depiction by the Moussad handler regarding the actions required to found the sovereign state. An ardent curiosity will lead to discomforting findings.

I support Israel and I would like CNN to rebroadcast the recorded celebration by the Palestinian Arabs on the evening of September 11th, 2001. (This apparently was shown exactly once and was pulled as offensive; I would like every American to see it and be offended.)

But I appreciate the truth like bungee jumpers appreciate rubber, and establishing a sovereign state contrary to the wishes of the local inhabitants required moral compromises. These compromises should not be allowed to diminish the appreciation of the stakes involved in the West’s struggle to prevent itself from being swallowed by the tsunami of violent ignorance that is Islam.

Dear Jihad Watchers:

I didn't realize this but I saw the beginning of the phenomena known as "Pallywood" back in the '80s.

The muslims in the West Bank and Gaza have long tried to portray themselves as impoverished victims of Israeli and Western oppression.

This spew was even going on back in the 1980s. During that time I was having to interact with “Christian ministers” who were actually liberation theology advocates (remember that movement). One in particular was a woman whose daughter spent large amounts of time as an “activist” in Israel and the “occupied” West Bank. Think of her as an ’80s version of Rachel Cory. The mother in private admitted she held no Christian beliefs whatsoever, but liked the privelige and standing the title of “minister” gave her. The daughter was more of a vicious anti Semite than her mother was, which was sayin a lot if you knew these psycho-bitches.

I am an American Indian and because of that, these women kept trying to get me over to their pro-PLO & more causes. I guess with them being leftist radicals… if they were to get an “American Indian” on “their side” it was somehow a gold star in their communist leaning credenitals “report card.” I heard the spew about West Bank (WB) being a prison and/or concentration camp, a “South African homeland or bantustan” and when they encountered me… it was “just like a reservation.”

First neither of these women had ever been to a reservation. So, I was “courted” by these women in the sense of getting me to their side. This was the days before personal cell phones could take video feeds which could be posted on the net and be seen by thousands in mere hourse. Instead I remember looking at the daughter’s scrapbooks and photo albums. More like a summer camp or vacation than a rez or any of the other type of “camp.”

I saw our ’80s Rachel Cory in snapshots in business areas, in arab shops, market places, recreational areas, private home, etc. The “poor muslims” who would be in the pics with her were well groomed, fashionable and well fed. I especially liked the pics of arab families in their living rooms filled with every 80s tech gadget available at the time and of the arab kids in THEIR SWIMMING POOLS.

These weren’t PLO leadership elites living off of donations from liberal European governments. These people were “average” residents of the West Bank. Many lived comfortable lifestyles while not working at all- now these WERE courtesy of European AND other Western Allied nations opening their wallets, as well as “we-feel-guilty” churches, humanitarian aid groups and of course the ISRAELI TAXPAYER and the SALARIES of their Israeli-Arab relatives who would send paychecks and Israeli products, clothing, food, etc to the West Bank.

There was no “aparthied wall” as the current defense barrier is called in existence back in the ’80s. West Bank residents would travel across the border into Israel to work, sell or buy, practice professions, go to school, go shopping, attend recreational facilities (museums, zoos, cinemas, etc).

Some of the pics were of ’80s Rachel withthe children of her WB host families (she lived with several arab families while in WB over time). She had to escort the arab children into BIG BAD ISRAEL and their she was… at restaurants, parks, arcades, to (what I guess was) the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo. The “horror” these children had to experience? They had to go past checkpoints with Israeli soldiers where GASP! The little arab darlings saw BIG BAD JEWS WITH GUNS! Ooooohhhh Nooooo!

I was pressured by a lot of these pro-PLO types to join the oppressed arab’s “plight” because… one) WB arabs live worse off than American Indians on reservations… and two) Palestinian arabs are “indigenous” to that part of the middle-east and as an America Indian, I should support them!

Well, I never joined their cause or organizations- which were sucking money out of deluded do-gooders. I especially wasn’t popular with the pro-PLO crowd when I explained to them and much to their shock that Palestinians ARE NOT AN INDIGENOUS PEOPLE and that many other American Indians I know were very supportive of the Israeli nation’s right to exist. The look of shock on their faces when I said those things was hilarious.

Also, I am learning much on the anti-Islamist movement sites. One term I’m learning is “Pallywood” which describes fake video shoots and internet uploads which portrays muslims as “victims to Jewish/Israel violence.”

Well, I guess I must have seen “Pallywood” in its embryo stage years ago back in the ’80s. Refer to ’80s Rachel and her numerous photo albums where pics of children with rather comfortable lives were seen. Well, at “mid-east awareness” events she would have poster board of ragamuffin looking kids sitting in dusty roadsides are next to garbage cans out as a display. She would also at presentations show SLIDE SHOWS depicting the same kids looking rather dejected.

Folks, I saw pictures that were apparently taken in or around the same time as the display or slide pics. The garbage cans were in front of nice homes or apartment houses where the children lived…. the kids WERE PUT IN RAGS specifically for those pictures… ie they were if anything”play clothes” complete with all the wear, tear, dirt, etc- that comes with it. Those children dressed well and expensively. Finally, I saw pics that went a few yards to the left or right or behind the pics of “poor arab child sits in dusty road” that had been on the display poster. The surroundings of those children was not some over crowded refugee camp. They were in nice neighborhoods, one was actually in a PARK FILLED WITH FLOWERS AND GREENERY. However, if you TAKE ANYONE and dress them down and place them on a dusty hot roadside…. you to would be oblivious that a short distance away were water fountains, flower beds and Jews and Arabs intermingling on park benches in the backdrop.

Hey, I saw the origins of “Pallywood” and didn’t even know it!

For people supporting Palestswine causes… the arab children DO NOT SUFFER BECAUSE OF ISRAEL, in fact if they have any stability, hot meals, shelter, education or happy childhoods IT IS BECAUSE OF ISRAELI GENEROSITY.

Standing 100% with Israel in this and any current or future conflict with Islamic cult murderers.

It is disappointing to see that their are Canadians that will align themselves with the murderous Islamic cult.

Does anyone remember the war in Kosovo? Then, the progressives--most of them cranky old Trots and their fellow travelers--opposed NATO's intervention in Kosovo, on the grounds that NATO was supposedly aiding and abetting 'Islamic Fundamentalists,' at the expense of a Socialist bastion like Serbia. Of course, all of THAT was thrown into the Memory Hole, and now these same progressives are supporting an avowedly Islamist insurgency, against a nominally secular state (Israel). The only commonality is that both the Albanian Kosovars and Israel enjoyed U.S. support, making them progressive pariahs.

Conservatives aren't any better. Conservative god Ronald 'Alzheimer' Reagan actively supported an Islamist insurgency (Mujahedin) in Afghanistan, and conservative media (e.g., National Review) wrote glowing, sloppily effusive coverage of the Mujahedin 'freedom fighters.' Nevermind the misogyny, pederasty, and opium-trafficking of these Qur'an-thumpers. And Bushes I-II defended Salafist Kuwait and Saudi Arabia against Iraq, and blew hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of U.S. lives on deposing a secular regime in Iraq, so that Islamist groups could move into the vacuum. And, where money is involved, conservatives suddenly turn philo-Islamic, as when Mark Steyn, Rush Limbaugh, and others supported the Dubai World Ports deal.

Unlike Kosovo, which is on Western Europe's doorstep, Israel has zero geopolitical relevance to the West. Most of the Christian population emptied out, long ago--the victims of a pincher movement between Jews and Muslims. Israel/Palestine has virtually no natural resources, and economies largely propped up with foreign aid and some token investment (e.g., that Intel plant that the Haredis hate).

And, notwithstanding weird conspiracy theories about President Obama's religion, no U.S. politician will commit to offering anything more than moral support to Israel. Israel can NOT expect military aid from the U.S., especially as that country is swimming in red ink, and has just ended a bloody and costly war in Iraq. Nor, with the Western world's economies in the creaky state they are, will the U.S., or any other country risk another oil embargo. Even the very pro-Israel Harper government has issued very muted criticism of the conflict, calling on 'both sides' to de-escalate. Israel is on its own, here, and much of the blame can be laid on Binyamin Netanyahu ham-fisted handling of everything from the settlement issue, to the U.S. election.

This was pure insanity, and everyone knew where this was headed. And the Bush Administration lied about a WMD threat in Iraq, in order to justify the overthrow of a secular regime, at the cost of over 4,000 dead U.S. troops and over $3 TRILLION.

"Blocking medicines and essential...." That's a fucking lie. The only real "blockade" that there is is by SEA. They let thousands of tons of stuff into Gaza. And these scum aren't starving as can be seen by the vegatable and fruit markets they don't show on mainstream mdeia. And the comment about "pipe bombs in basements" Is he fucking kidding??? Watching the video, I was astonished by how illiterate, ignorant, and inarticulate these anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian protestors are, even the ones who look as though they might have graduated from college one or two decades ago. So, it wasn’t an issue of the reporter asking clueless, non-conceptual, college-brainwashed Valley Gals and Valley Guys questions they couldn’t digest. Clearly universities all over the West have been succeeding in reducing a fair number of young people into babbling, programmed, emotionalist wrecks over at least two generations. There are many more of these pitiful creatures in the U.S., and the reporter could just as well have been interviewing people in New York, Los Angeles or Kansas City. It is utterly futile to expect any one of them to pause and think, because their thinking capacity has been whittled down to the mere perceptual level, such as not crossing the street in front of oncoming traffic and not sprinkling poison as sugar on their Cheerios. Broader abstractions that challenge the pap they've absorbed in schools simply bounce off their consciousnesses. They're gone.

MY GOD THOSE LEFTIES ARE STUPID.
I DON'T BELIEVE IT IS WORTH WHILE TRYING TO ENGAGE SUCH PEOPLE IN A REAL DISCUSSION.
LET THEM HAVE THEIR 15 MINUTES OF FAME AND THEN LETS MOVE ON.
