Saudi Arabia: 5,000 child brides under age 14

“The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with ‘Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).” — Bukhari 7.62.88

Muslims take this seriously and imitate Muhammad in this. Article 1041 of the Civil Code of the Islamic Republic of Iran states that girls can be engaged before the age of nine, and married at nine: “Marriage before puberty (nine full lunar years for girls) is prohibited. Marriage contracted before reaching puberty with the permission of the guardian is valid provided that the interests of the ward are duly observed.”

The Ayatollah Khomeini himself married a ten-year-old girl when he was twenty-eight. Khomeini called marriage to a prepubescent girl “a divine blessing,” and advised the faithful: “Do your best to ensure that your daughters do not see their first blood in your house.”

The Qur’an also allows for marriage to pre-pubescent girls, stipulating that Islamic divorce procedures “shall apply to those who have not yet menstruated” (65:4).

Thus this news should come as no surprise to anyone — except those who have bought the deceptive line of Islamic supremacists in the West, that Aisha was actually nineteen, etc.

“More than 5,000 child brides in Saudi Arabia,” from Gulf News, November 8 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Dubai: More than 5,000 girls below the age of 14 are married off in Saudi Arabia, according to media reports.

There have been 5,622 marriages where the bride is under the age of 14 in Saudi Arabia, said Ali Abdul Rahman Al Roumi, a social services academic at Imam Mohammad Bin Saud Islamic University, adding that specifying a legal age would not solve the problem, and may lead to “even bigger problems”.

A number of families from “rural areas” have been marrying their daughters off to older, rich men, according to the Saudi owned Al Hayat newspaper.

“We must solve this, by at least looking at the difference in age in cases where the bride is young, in which case it can be deceptive” he said. He did not specify what period of time that figure represents.

He added however that it was “not a trend”….

Of course not. It’s an entrenched practice, sanctioned by Muhammad’s example and practiced for centuries going back to the dawn of Islam, and before that as well.

Of those 5000 girls under 14, I wonder what proportion are really, really young: 8, 9, 10 or 11 years old?

    Poor little girls.

Despite these girls’ undoubtedly having been pickled in hate for the Infidel since they were able to walk and talk (which would be the case for every single Muslim in that wretched hellhole ruled over by the Abominable House of Saud), I still feel sorry for any preteen prepubescent or barely-pubescent girl-child who is subjected to repeated rape by a man old enough to be her grandfather.

The credo and written requirements and psychotic beliefs of the trilogy of written texts of the criminal evil gang of islam make these people’s minds so zombie brainwashed with constant internecine evil and sneakiness, is what must continue so long as the evil criminal gang of islam exists, so similar it is to other destroyed ideologies of destructive intent.

islam makes iran and Saudi hate each other and distrust each other, even more than they each hate Israel, because although it is commanded in writing that they hate the Jew, but shia iran and sunni wahabi-salafi Saudi are at greater hatred over supremacy of each other”try to figure, it is not possible. Nothing like it exists in the real Western world of real religions, nor with agnostics nor even the wilder versions of atheism, nor ever has, please note. This is a mad, mad, mad, mad world so long as islam remains. They are all fully delusional.

The little girls being mere chattel cogs at the mercies of fates beyond their comprehensions, unmerciful as it is, a miserable part of uncountable atrocities of evil islam, and no one yet stops the fraud charade.

American politicians who court the Saudis are averting their eyes from this repulsive marriage system which is of the worst form of illegality in the United States.

It’s Saudi government approved. If you work with the Saudis, you condon child rape. If you come back to the United States, you must answer for that. No different than Paterno averting his eyes from his perverted assistant. It shall not pass.

    ………………………..

    That they do.

This is nothing less than *sacralized rape*.

And it is, as you note, hardly just the case in Saudi Arabia. This is rife all over the Muslim world, where it either winked at or outright sanctioned by law.

And this is *not* something Muslims coming to the West leave behind. There have been numerous cases in Britain, Canada, and Europe. Recently, an Honor Killing case in the United States brought to light that the victim had entered the country palmed off as a young relative rather than as the underaged wife of the Iraqi man she was with. She couldn’t have been older than 13 when she was forced to marry, given the age of her eldest child.

And remember Muslim troll Rezali Mehil, who considered little 9-year-old Aisha’s being raped by the fifty-plus year old “Prophet” as a “blessing from Allah (SWT)”. Grotesque”but all too common.

    ………………………..

How, exactly? It is clear”as is so often the case”that even decent Muslims who recognize a problem with some aspect of their creed are still loathe to openly gainsay Islam itself. And if they do not balk for reasons of “piety”, surely they realize that taking such a stance can be not just bad for your career, but hazardous to your health…

    More:

A number of families from “rural areas” have been marrying their daughters off to older, rich men, according to the Saudi owned Al Hayat newspaper.
    ………………………..

Yeah”but this posits the old “problems of poverty” thesis”which would not explain, in any case, why so many of these “older, rich men” are interested in raping children…

    More:

“We must solve this, by at least looking at the difference in age in cases where the bride is young, in which case it can be deceptive” he said. He did not specify what period of time that figure represents.
    ………………………..

The age difference in so many of these “marriages” *is* a huge issue”but it is not the main one. But for any would-be reformer to focus purely on the crime of pederasty could bring charges of “blasphemy”, and we all know those don’t tend to end well for the victims in Dar-al-Islam.

So much easier to focus on a side issue, and hope you can do at least some good…

saudi arabia.. probably the most insidious of the mohommedian states. maoney and busines with us suckers in the west allows for slavery, honour killings, beheadings of blasphemers and gays, adulterous women (rape victims) imprisonment and torture and regular rape of “hired” foreign servants girls (sex slaves) missing western women and jihad support, funnelling charity to terror groups. all with a blind eye … until recently.

the bedou racism is a big part of it too. slaves from africa have stopped in numbers and south asia (the sub continent) is now being predated and exploited.

and as are the female moslem, forever, and ever and ever. suicide rates are pretty high.

On this just cannot be true ! Allah the Most Loving and Merciful and His dear much loved Apostle and Messenger would not allow it. The idea that Aisha was six is a due to a misprinting of the hadith. She was sixty.

#1 Would Mr Spencer like to give a creditable link to Khomeini married Khadije Saghafi when she was ten years old.

I have seen various reports stating she was anything between 13-16.

No doubt many of you have read this

    Khomeini slept with 4-year-old girl.

An excerpt from ‘Hal Ataaka Hadeeth ur-Raafidah?’ by the late Sheikh Abu Mus’abaz-Zarqaawi, alias Husayn Al-Musawi

“The author of the book ‘For Allah, Then For History’ mentions to us an event that took place before his very eyes, when al-Khomeini was living in Iraq, and was visiting an Iranian individual by the name of Sayyid Sahib.

He says: ‘Sayyid Sahib was joyous with our visit, and we arrived at his house around the time of Dhuhr. So, he prepared for us a lavish dinner, and called some of his relatives, who came to see us, and the house became crowded in celebration of our presence.

Sayyid Sahib then requested that wespend that night at his home, to which the Imam agreed. When it was night time, we were given our supper, and the guests would take the Imam’s hand and kiss it, and they would ask him questions, with him answering their questions.

When it was time to sleep, the guests had all left, except for the inhabitants of the house. Al-Khomeini laid his eyes on a young girl who, despite being only four or five years of age, was very beautiful.

So, the Imam requested from her father, Sayyid Sahib, that he spend the night with her in order to enjoy her. Her father happily agreed, and Imam al-Khomeini spent the night with the girl in his arms, and we could hear her crying and screaming.'”

I have searched for this book on many occasions but it does not seem to exist.

Anyway the authors name and alias is a give away that this is a spoof

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and Husayn Al-Musawi, as you should know are both notorious terrorists.

So one should very very care when using quotes about Khomeini.

    Observe.

gunung semeru writes a long nit-picking post mostly accusing Mr Spencer of being wrong about the age of Khomeini’s wife; and then referring to a very different story that is doing the rounds about Khomeini, a story that Mr Spencer did not refer to at all.

gs in that post says nothing at all about the example of Mohammed and Aisha which influences the very high incidence of child marriage all over the Islamic world, and which is cited by Islamic clerics in places as far apart as west Africa and Yemen and Saudi Arabia, whenever anyone tries to establish a minimum marriage age higher than nine.

He says nothing at all about the campaign that some devout Muslims are getting up, to lower the marriageable age for girls, in Islamic Egypt, to bring it into line with the Sharia (i.e. the current laws on paper are seen as unislamic, a result of western influence).

    http://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/10/sudans-main-islamic-authority-misunderstands-islam-publicly-advocates-child-marriage.html

And he says nothing at all about the fact that, irrespective of what age Khomeini’s wife was, Khomeini *lowered* the legal marriageable age of girls in Iran, practically as soon as he came to power, and that the marrying-off of underage girls is happening very frequently in Iran.

Iran: Hundreds of girls under age 10 married

Even *one* ‘marriage’ of a girl that age is one too many.

For that matter, marriage of underage girls is being clandestinely practised among Muslims in *western* countries; alluded to here:

Muslim mosque leader at centre of British child bride scandal steps down after ‘being caught agreeing to marry girl of 12′

PS Re Khomneini’s wife, and how old she was at marriage: Geraldine Brooks, who *met* her and interviewed her (see Brooks’ book, ‘Nine Parts of Desire’, chapter one, ‘The Holy Veil’), says that she was *15*.

‘Ruhollah, an impoverished clerical student from the dusty village of Khomeini, had been twenty-seven when he asked for the hand of fifteen-year-old Khadija Saqafi” (and there doesn’t seem to have been much of a delay between the time of asking and the time of the handover).

Of course, something that must be borne in mind is that a western female journalist visiting Shiite Iran might not have been told the truth about Khomeini’s wife’s age at the time of her marriage. *Some* Muslims are dimly aware that things like men marrying barely-pubescent or prepubescent girls make for bad publicity among the more intelligent and wary Infidels.

    Damning with faint praise.

Thankyou for the info about Khomeini, but I prefer to think she was 13 at the time of marriage, and this is based on the different data I have seen. Also, I balance between “*Some* Muslims are dimly aware that things like men marrying barely-pubescent or prepubescent girls make for bad publicity among the more intelligent and wary Infidels.” and Sunni “Anti Shiite propaganda” and anti khomieni sites such as the former Dr Homa Darabi Foundation.

As an Infidel, on one level do not give a tinker’s damn what Sunnis say about Shiites and what Shiites say about Sunnis; except insofar as it usually reveals, by its venom and ugliness, the Mind of Islam.

What I do know is that Muslims – of whatever variety – seem to engage in what psychologists call ‘projection’ very frequently; that is, they accuse others (whether Infidels, or deemed-insufficiently-Islamic / heretical fellow Muslims) of doing whatever it is that they themselves do, or have done, or intend to do. Further: Islam is so ghastly that when one Muslim individual or group accuses another Muslim individual or group of doing something awful, the accusation turns out to be true more often than not. Like the trolls in Tolkien’s Hobbit, who were ‘calling each other all sorts of perfectly true and applicable names in very loud voices’.

Five years posting and reading at this site – and a goodly chunk of time, when I first discovered it, spent reading through the archives covering 2003-2006 have taught me that, on the whole, whereas one may often be in error if one believes the worst of one’s fellow infidels (because they may not actually be as bad as one supposes), believing the worst of the Ummah in its assorted branches is very difficult to do… not because the reality isn’t as bad as you supposed, but because the reality is nearly always far worse than anything the average well-brought-up Infidel is capable of *imagining*. Coming to understand Islam is like working one’s way slowly down through level after level of the ‘Inferno’.

That story about Khomeini, whether true or not in his particular case, is *entirely* plausible, given the documented reality of Mohammedan abuse of very young girl – and boy – children. It was well known to those anthropologically-minded Westerners who travelled through dar al Islam in the 17th, 18th, 19th centuries; it has become known to our troops on the ground in Afghanistan, who have *seen* (especially the medics among them) the beaten, abused, raped child-brides, many of whom were suffering horrific injuries to their reproductive organs because of the sexual violence to which they have been subjected by their much, much older ‘husbands’.
