I favor a "scorched earth" exit strategy. Every outpost, forward-operating base, etc. gets burnt, blown-up, and booy-trapped as we exit. Every piece of equipment or item of supplies that can't be packed up and taken gets destroyed. As buildings are emptied for the last time, they get demolished. After the last plane leaves, cratering charges are set off in the runway.
We leave the Afghans with nothing than can scavenge and use.
