UN votes to create new jihad base against Israel

That's what Gaza became, contrary to all the confident predictions that Israel's withdrawal would usher in a new era of peace, and that's what a Palestinian state would be as well. "Palestinian 'state' wins U.N. recognition," from USA Today, November 29:

The United Nations General Assembly voted Thursday 138-9 with 41 abstentions to grant Palestine non-member state status.

The vote does not settle outstanding issues with Israel or change anything on the ground, say experts.

"We are here for a final serious attempt to achieve peace," Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas told General Assembly delegates before the vote. "Not to end the negotiation processâ?¦ rather to breath new life into the negotiation process."

Vuk JeremiÄ?, president of the General Assembly acknowledged the historical nature of the vote and called on Israeli and Palestinian leaders "to work for peace, negotiate in good faith and succeed."

Israelis say the Palestinian appeal for non-member state status will make peace less likely. Currently the Palestinian Authority has the status of U.N. observer.

Abbas went forward despite appeals to postpone the request, which the United States says will only make negotiations for a permanent state less likely to happen.

"If the Israeli authorities want to threaten my life, they can," Abbas said according to Palestinian news agency Ma'an. "The whole world realizes that the Palestinian Authority, with all its political and security services, and administrative bodies, has been ready to upgrade its status for six years."

The Israeli government did not threaten Abbas' life, but said said that peace is only achieved through negotiations, and not by unilateral declarations that do not take into consideration Israel security needs.

"Israel's hand is always extended in peace, but a Palestinian state will not be established without recognition of the state of Israel as the state of the Jewish people, without an end-of-conflict declaration, and without true security arrangements that will protect Israel and its citizens," he said Thursday.

Ahead of the vote, Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch filed an amendment to a defense bill that would eliminate funding for the United Nations if the General Assembly changes Palestine's status.

"Increasing the Palestinians' role in the United Nations is absolutely the wrong approach, especially in light of recent military developments in the Middle East," he said in a statement. "Israel is one of America's closest allies, and any movement to strengthen one of its fiercest enemies must not be tolerated."

In his speech, Abbas said he"did not come here to de-legitimize a state established years ago, that is Israrel. Rather we are here to affirm a state that must achieve its independence, and that is Palestine."

His bid to seek U.N.recognition was met with "an incessant flood of Israeli threats," he said, including "justification of military assaults and ethnic cleansing, particularly in east Jerusalem."

Israel's occupation "is becoming consistent with an apartheid system" that promotes "racial hatred and incitement," he said. "The window of opportunity is narrowing and time is running out."...

What incredible mendacity and projection.

Robert,

I don't know any of the details, BUT:

You and I both know France was on board with this.

Orrin, from the "mormon state"

Wonder if Orrin is mormon, like Romney.

Wonder how the virtually treasonous dems will vote on this.

Wonder how our useless POTUS, barry hussein, comes down on this.

barry will probably just ignore the whole thing ... like he did the fatal embassy attack, and the brainless, clueless, retarded american electorate will let barry get away with it.

4 more years ... God's mercy be upon us for voting so stupidly.

Meanwhile in Bakersfield wacademia, the local Muslim Brotherhood affilitated MSA climbed up on their hind legs to challenge dhimmis;

Rashed asked the audience to name one benefit we have received from Israel. At this, a woman walked out saying, “I’ve heard all I can take.”

After the event Rashed said, “I was hoping she could respond when I challenged ‘just give me one benefit’ and instead of standing out and saying here is a benefit she ran away, but I think after that everything was OK.”

(CNN) -- Hours before the United Nations General Assembly voted to recognize the Palestinian Authority as a non-member observer state, the official U.N. Twitter account made a very unfortunate one-character typo.

"On Day of Solidarity with Palestinians, Ban Ki-moon stresses urgency of reaching 1-state solution," read the tweet.

From the article - the vote as "138-9 with 41 abstentions".

Israel, of course, voted NO, as they sensibly should.

The USA, to do it credit, also voted NO.

That means that there were seven *other* countries that firmly said NO to according any greater degree of recognition than is already - alas - given to a bunch of genocidal Jew-hating Levantine Arab Muslims whose primary function is - as 'Hugh Fitzgerald' put it here, many a time - to be the 'shock troops' of the Jihad that the entire Ummah, or Mohammedan Mob, is waging against the Jews.

Who are the seven other countries that, today, should be receiving a Gharkad Tree Award, for being prepared to step in between the Jihad and the Jews?

As for the abstainers, I know that Australia abstained; our Prime Minister, who apparently wanted to do the right thing and vote NO, got railroaded by the likes of Bob Curr who have listened to one slimy plausible Mohammedan taqiyya-artist too many, and ended up backing down part of the way and going for an Abstention.

And I think the UK was going to abstain?

So who *were* the abstainers...the fence-sitters, those who had just enough nous and commonsense to not go 'all the way' with the Islamintern, but weren't smart enough, and weren't brave enough, to vote NO and thus tell the Islamintern to STFU and Go To Hell?

We jihadwatchers have a job to do.

A/ Every country that went with Israel and voted NO to increased UN recognition of the Arab Islamic 'state' of 'Palestine', should receive a heartfelt thankyou - and a very brief, carefully worded statement as to *why* that NO was so important.

B/ The abstainers should also receive letters. Along the lines of, 'thank God you didn't go so far as to vote YES, but this is why you ought to have voted NO'.

Those 41 abstainers, or fence-sitters, will jump to one side of the fence or the other, sooner or later. Our job (especially if we happen to be a citizen of one of those 41 countries) is to figure out how to push or pull our fellow citizens and our politicians to the *Israel* side of the fence, where they belong; resisting Jihad.

In Australia's case, I don't think it will take all that much. Had we had a different government (and one must remember that the present federal government squeaked in by the merest whisker), our UN vote re those Poooor "Palestinians" [TM] would have been a clear NO.

And any *Western* country - and indeed any *non-Muslim* country, whether western or not - that voted YES deserves to be roundly shamed.

Send them black-bordered letters containing the white feather of cowardice. Remind those among them that are majority Christian, that the Muslim slogan runs, 'First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people'.

Perhaps some of the Friends of Israel organisations, as well as Jewish/ Zionist organisations, should pay for public advertisements - full page, in the newspapers, or on highway billboards.

Start with the headline Mr Spencer used here:

"UN votes to create new jihad base against Israel".

Under that:

"Islam is Waging Genocidal Jihad Against Jews.

"'Palestinian' Arab Muslims Are The Local Shock Troops of That Jihad.

"Who is With Them, Who is Against Them, and Who is Sitting on the Fence?

"With: [names of the Yes voters. Muslim countries in green, non-Muslim countries in yellow - for dhimmitude/ cowardice].

"Against: [names of the No voters - in bright blue]

"On the Fence: [names of the 41 abstainers]"

I went over to Jerusalem Post and they list the names of those who supported Israel and said NO to this proposition re the 'Palestinians'.

Palestine' wins historic upgrade at the United Nations

"The countries opposing the move were the US, Israel, Canada, the Czech Republic, Palau, Micronesia, Nauru, Panama and the Marshall Islands."

Thank god that public support for Israel in the USA is palpable enough that even Obama did not *dare* go for a 'Yes' vote on this issue.

And kudos to Canada and the Czech Republic and to Panama.

HUGS to all Canadian members of this forum; send Stephen Harper a thank you letter!

HUGS to any Czech persons here present.

HUGS to any Panamanians who may just happen to be lurking and reading.

All sincere Friends of Israel, and resisters against Jihad, salute you.

One can fully understand why the Czechs stand with Israel; they remember only too well what happens when one is forced to hand over the military high ground to a mortal enemy. As the Sudetenland was to Czechoslovakia before WWII, so Judea and Samaria - and Mount Zion, and also the Golan - are to Israel. Israel is indefensible if those territories are fully controlled by an enemy -and the Arab Islamic 'state' of 'palestine (merely the spearhead or entering wedge or advance military base of the jihad that is prosecuted by the entirety of the Ummah)' is and will be a mortal enemy to the Jewish state.

The four small Christian Pacific island nations - Palau, Micronesia, Nauru, and the Marshall Islands - will be accused of voting as they did, because they are 'client states' of the USA.

If so accused, they should tell the accusers that there is another possibility: that they, these little Christian island nations, small and poor as they are, just might have greater moral clarity and awareness of what is right and what is not, than the cowards who Abstained and the Cowardly - and the Malevolent - who voted *for* increased UN recognition of the genocidally Jew-hating 'palestinian' Arab Muslim entity.

May God bless every one of those little countries; they will be far better off to pursue and develop a relationship with Israel, and get ideas on hi-tech, and on water conservation/ recycling/ desalination, and on solar power etc., than to accept anything at all from the deeply malevolent members of the OIC, whose 'gifts' always come with nasty Mohammedan da'wa strings attached.

wildjew,

Thank you for that information.

So tell me, how are the dems going to respond to Orrin's legislation?

Pope Benedict XVI condemns Islam's violence

Pope Benedict XVI condemns Islam's violence. He said, quoting Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologos, show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find "only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached".

In a major lecture at Regensburg University, where he taught theology between 1969 to 1977, Benedict said Christianity is tightly linked to reason and contrasted this view with those who believe in spreading their faith by the sword.
In his lecture, the Pope quoted, among others, the 14th century Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologos who wrote that Mohammad had brought things "only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

The Pope, who used the terms "jihad" and "holy war" in his lecture, added in his own words: "Violence is incompatible with the nature of God and the nature of the soul". source

January 24, 2006

Pope Benedict XVI believes that unlike other religions, Islam cannot be reformed and, therefore, is incompatible with democracy, according to a Catholic leader who participated with the pontiff in a secretive meeting on the subject.

The pope, according to Fessio, believes Islam cannot become compatible with democracy because a radical reinterpretation of the religion would be required, which is "impossible, because it's against the very nature of the Quran, as it's understood by Muslims."

In July, when asked by reporters, Benedict refused to declare Islam "a religion of peace", a phrase often invoked by President Bush.

These are amazing statements from the leader of the Catholic Church.

Oh great. One more problem to worry about while the radical Islamists are literally taking over Egypt and Syria and we're too busy and distracted with the political theater called the 'fiscal cliff' to pay any attention to these important stories. We're also about to make Susan Rice, another idiot, spoiled trust fund baby (Truman Scholarship, cough cough) and daughter of a former Federal Reserve chairman, secretary of state. Unbelievable what stupidity people voted in.

Typo: Federal Reserve governor, not chairman.

Kaddafi Delenda Est,

I am an original New York boy who moved out to California to enjoy the weather ... long time ago, when California was still Ronnie Reagan land.

The weather is still great. The flora, the fauna, the geography ... all still superb.

But man, have the California people, lots of them, taken a GIANT step downward.

Now we have:

1) repeat governor brown, aka, eastern nomenclature, "governor moonbeam".

2) Two lady Jewish senators, all about "reproductive rights" = abortion on demand. ABORTION ON DEMAND IS KILLING THE HEART OF AMERICA.

3) morons from outer space that vote

There are still nice towns like Temecula.

EXCEPT, look what happened:

"These are amazing statements from the leader of the Catholic Church."

Indeed they are, but, will you please be kind enough to elaborate on John Paul II kissing the Quran?
I'm not criticizing the late Pope, I'm only trying to understand his motives.
Thank you.

Eight years ago, on this forum, in the comments to this thread:

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2004/05/california-officers-learn-muslim-culture.html

Hugh Fitzgerald after discussing the failings of the ACLU, segued into a discussion of the typical Let's Lynch Israel voting in the UN General Assembly.

This is what he wrote. It is as bitingly relevant today as it was eight years ago.

"...In the last 30 years, the U.N. has been helpless to deal with Muslim attacks on non-Muslim peoples and polities.

"The only occasion, on which the U.N. passed a resolution against a predominantly Muslim state, were those passed after Saddam Hussein had invaded Kuwait.

" And in that case the usual Muslim/non-Muslim categories dissolved, for two important Muslim countries, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, felt directly threatened.

"And that is the entire extent of what the U.N. can do;

"Muslims can act with impunity, unless the American government, and any others prepared to undertake the same measures (and how few they are, so effective has Muslim infiltration of the media, and of international groups, been -- especially in Western Europe), acts.

"When one reads about some U.N. vote, in the Security Council or in the General Assembly,

"where the votes against Israel are usually on the order of 189 to 2, with a few abstentions,

"one is prompted to ask aloud of those ambassadors from civilized, or quasi-civilized lands,

"whether they can, when they return home to their New York apartments that night, and perhaps, mimicking Jean-Paul Belmondo in a famous scene in Breathless, looking closely at themselves in the mirror, how can they stand it?

"How can they bear to be participants in such hypocrisy and stupidity?

"Do they really believe the Arab propaganda?

"Is there something in the very atmosphere of the U.N. that causes people to lose their moral sense?

"And even if they are forced to follow orders from the foreign ministries at home, do they never protest?

"Never think to try to change those policies?

"Never seek to understand what is really going on in the endless siege of Israel?

"Never once try to identify with the Israelis, whose state was created because the civilized nations of the world, with men such as Clemenceau and Lloyd George, thought that it was, on the whole, the right and proper thing to do --

"and the League of Nations regarded all of western Palestine, from the Jordan to the sea, as the very least that could be set aside

"(when the Mandatory Power, Great Britain, unilaterally declared that the mandatory provisions regarding Jewish immigration and settlement would not apply to the area east of the Jordan,

"the Mandates Commission was horrified -- curious that no one bothers to consult, or make public, their remarks at the time).

"Do you look at yourself in the mirror, grimacing in the Belmondo manner, and reassure yourself about the day's events: "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."

"Are you proud of having joined the pack of wolves as they snapped at Israel, trying to bring it down to go in for the final kill?

"Or do you really believe that this war on Israel is really about "two tiny peoples, blah blah blah"?

"Exactly how stupid, or unseeing, are you?

"Do you ever -- you ambassadors from Germany, Italy, Great Britain, France, Poland, Hungary, Spain, and so on-- ever think about Islamic teachings as the basis for the permanent refusal to permit Israel to exist, whatever its size?

"And if it is its existence that matters, not its dimensions, then surely the Israelis should choose those dimensions that will both make their own defense strongest, and also make the other side believe those defenses are at their strongest.

"For only darura, necessity, keeps Arab states from attacking.

"The only thing keeping the peace in the MIddle East between the Muslim Arabs and the Jewish state, is fear by the Arabs of the consequences, and the ability of their leaders to note that Israel still is more powerful.

"But if that state is reduced in size, it is not only Israel that will suffer, but the Arab leaders who may not really wish to go to war.

"For, with a reduced and seemingly vulnerable Israel, they will no longer have the excuse (for the few who might want one) of darura.

"The very pressure put on Israel to further retreat is in fact leading not to peace but to war.

"There is no "two-state solution" -- and how can there be?

"What would Muhammad say -- yes, it's okay for the Infidels to have their own state, where the shari'a does not apply, and they are free to live as they wish, on land that was once part of dar al-Islam? Nonsense. Double nonsense.

"Were I a schoolboy,

"and in my school at every assembly there was a denunciation by 188 of my 189 classmates, of the one small scholarly schoolboy, sitting in the third row on the right, who seemed to want only to be left in peace to study, and who was constantly being harassed and bullied and threatened by a gang of 22 of the most unpleasant and violent of my classmates (who, let it be said, did not confine their aggression to that one schoolboy),

"I would behave as the American ambassador so often behaves, refusing to agree to the bullying, the lynch-mob mentality, the pious lies uttered and repeated and blandly accepted, about the "threat" coming from this single small boy, supposedly directed at those 22 bullies.

"Not to take that boy's side would have been intolerable. I couldn't stand it.

"But a great many of you ambassadors, and the Chris Pattens and Mary Robinsons of this great wide wonderful world we live in,

" find no difficulty in beating up, and beating up, that boy (and I won't go in to that boy's tortured, difficult life, or what happened to so many of his relatives, through time and space).

"How do you stand it, weeek after week, month after month, year after year,

"the nonsense and corruption and timewasting and hypocrisy and stupidity and paralysis and stench of failure on the East River?

" I couldn't stand it..."

I guess RashHead RagWeed never heard of the Intel Pentium computer chip.

Under the 2010 U.S. budget, about $75 billion, $65 billion and $3.25 billion will be spent on military operations and aid in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan during this fiscal year, respectively. Israel will receive $3 billion, in military aid only. There is no economic aid to Israel. Virtually all of the annual economic aid goes for repayment of debt to the United States, incurred from military purchases dating back many years. This debt is now close to being liquidated.

The bulk of the annual U.S. military aid to Israel must be spent in the United States. That provides jobs for some 50,000 U.S. workers.
70 percent of the $3 billion aid must be used by Israel to purchase American military equipment. This provides real support for U.S. high- tech defense jobs and contributes to maintaining our industrial base. This helps the U.S. stay at the very top in the manufacturing of our own cutting-edge military munitions, aircraft, vehicles, missiles and virtually every defensive and offensive weapon in the U.S. arsenal -- with the added contribution of Israel’s renowned technical know-how.

the U.S. and Israel are jointly developing state- of-the-art missile defense capabilities in the David’s Sling and Arrow 3 systems, and the Iron Dome system that worked so effectively against rockets launched from Gaza by Hamas's IslamoNazis

Israel provides the U.S. with real-time, minute-to-minute access to one of the best intelligence services in the world: Israel’s. With Israeli agents gathering intelligence and taking action throughout the Middle East and, literally, around the world, regarding al- Qaeda, Hezbollah, Iran and Hamas, among others, the U.S. receives invaluable information about anti-U.S. and terrorist organizations and regimes.

The situation of the Palestinians today is better off than the Arab citizens in many measures, including: The percentage of expenditure on food, the percentage of expenditure on housing, private ownership of houses, ownership of mobile phones, Internet accessibility, population, literacy rate and longevity.

Between 1967 and 1993, after which the PA began administering sections of Judea and Samaria under the Oslo Accords, resulted in a rise in per capita GDP from 904 to 3392 NIS. Under the PA this number dropped from 3392 to 2293 NIS.

Since 1967, Israel transferred captured Soviet weapons systems to the U.S. Pentagon after every conflict: 1967, 1967-70, 1973, 1982, 1990 (Scud remnants from the Gulf War), and 2006 (remnants of Iranian supplied missiles. In fact, Israel gave an entire squadron of MiG-21s to the U.S. which was dubbed the “Top Gun” squadron and used by the U.S. Air and Naval forces for training purposes

In 1981, Israel bombed the Iraqi nuclear reactor at Osirak, delaying Saddam Hussein’s quest for nuclear weapons. It thus provided the U.S. with the option of engaging in conventional wars with Iraq in 1991 and 2003.

The vice president General Dynamics which produces the F16 fighter jets has stated that Israel is responsible for 600 improvements in the plane's systems, modifications estimated to be worth billions of dollars, which spared dozens of research and development years.

In September 2007, the IAF destroyed a Syrian-North Korean nuclear plant, extending the US’s strategic arm. It provided the US with vital information on Russian air defense systems, which are also employed by Iran.

US GIs benefit from Israel’s battle tactics against car bombs, improvised explosive devices and homicide bombing.

The late Gen. Alexander Haig, who was NATO's supreme commander and a former U.S. secretary of state, defined Israel as "the largest, most battle-tested and cost-effective U.S. aircraft carrier, which does not require a single U.S. boot, cannot be sunk and is located at a most critical area. If Israel did not exist, the U.S. would have to deploy a few more real aircraft carriers to the eastern flank of the Mediterranean, costing some $20 billion annually, which has been spared by the Jewish state."

The pending U.S. withdrawal from Iraq, the increasing volatility of the Middle East, the intensifying threats to critical U.S. economic and national security interests, the deepening Russian and Chinese involvement in the region, the growing vulnerability of pro-U.S. Arab regimes and the increasingly Islam-oriented policy of Turkey, have all shed light on Israel as the sole stable, reliable, capable, democratic and unconditional ally of the U.S. – a regional anomaly and a global rarity.

Now, what unique contribution have the Arab and Muslim countries given to the US in return for our $100 billion in aid? - which is nearly all for appeasing and bribing them to play nice?

Homicide bombings, IEDs, and genocide against Christians.

14 million Jews won 183 nobel prizes in every field in which it is offered, versus eight (8) out of 1.5 billion Muslims, two of which were "Peace prizes" with one going to Yassir Arafat, former leader of the PLO terrorist organization responsible for more civilian deaths than Osama and Al Qaeda. Besides launcing two wars (Intifadeh) against Israel, he also tried to overthrow the governments of Lebanon and Jordan.

When it comes to Israel and the West, Muslim Palestinians have a religious duty to lie, bear false witness, commit perfidy, make false treaties and agreements that they are free to break at any time, commit war crimes, create anti-Israel and anti-Jewish propaganda on an international industrial scale, and use the Islamic sanctioned practices of taqiyya, kitman, and muruna to deceive the "infidel" in any way possible. They teach their children, from womb to tomb, that Jews are subhuman, the children of of apes and pigs, and should be killed.

On the other side is trhe Ten Commandments which teaches Jewish children and adults that "Thou shalt not lie, steal, murder, bear false witness against thy neighbor, and to not covet or envy what anyone else has."

Hamas goes out of its way to kill Gaza children to use as propaganda tools against Israel while Israel goes to extraordinary methods to avoid harming Gaza children.

Hamas boasts of its "death industry" and how a "dead baby Palestinian" is worth more than 1,000 Jihad fighters.

The only industry they have is staging fake attacks and casualties and blaming them on Israel to the biased liberal Western media who report whatever Palestinians tell them without question.

Now that the Sharia-compliant Muslims have returned to the mentality of the 7th Century, the likelihood of them contributing anything useful to the West and the world in the 21st Century is zero - the only useful thing they "invented" in 1,400 years.

I also forgot to mention that Israel is always the first country at the scene of any disaster to provide medical and material aid to the people most affected by it.

Extremely wealthy Middle Eastern Countries like Saudi Arabia give chump change in donations that are always the last to arrive.

If we were allowed to become energy independent of Middle Eastern oil, instead of being stopped by Obama at every turn, we would not need anything from all the countries that hate US and Israel.

The Muslim Brotherhood is committed to turning the world into a 7th Century caliphate. They are a worldwide terrorist organization who formally declared war on the US in 1998.

Yet, the Obama regime used the Arab Spring to replace secular dictatorships that were allies of ours with fascist Islamic dictatorships that are enemies of ours.

Obama has filled our government, our intelligence agencies, including the CIA, NSA, and the FBI, and the military at all levels with Muslim Brotherhood operatives whose strategic goal for North America is to "destroy the West's miserable house from within." (their own words).

The MB has 70 major front groups in the US to help fool Americans into thinking they are "moderates" and can be reliable allies.

Imagine FDR inviting top Nazi leaders into the White House and allowing them to influence our foreign AND domestic policy?

Who do you think was responsible for removing all references to radical Islam, jihad, holy war, dhimmitude, and Islamic or Muslim terrorists from all training manuals and department policies?

Who was responsible for calling Major Hasan's Islamic jihad that killed 13 soldiers, "workplace violence," and the "war on terror" as "overseas contingency operations," and Islamic terrorist attacks as "man-made disasters?" Who also lumped returning Vets and Constitutionalists with Islamic terrorists as potential domestic threats?

The politically-correct Muslim Brotherhood fronts, CAIR and ISNA, and the man, himself, who is the nation's top spokesperson for the Muslim Brotherhood:

None other than Barry Soetoro/Barack Hussein Obama.

The thing that was surprising was the US vote. Given that the US State Dept is heavily pro-Islamic, given that even Bush had called for a Palestinian state and Obama has rivaled him in being pro-Jihad, the thing that beat me was the US actually voting the right way.

Anyway, these votes mean nothing. For instance, while they may theoretically hold the PA responsible for what goes on within their jurisdiction, fact is they won't. Why doesn't the PA have its own currency, its own infrastructure? Simple ground fact - they are total losers if the Israelis weren't moronic enough to fund them.

Anyway, w/ the belligerent moves coming from Egypt, it's probably just a matter of time before Egypt starts another war, and loses the Sinai again. And I don't see another Anwar Sadat emerging ever that could make the Israelis give that back.
