Alabama: Muslim accused of plotting act of jihad terror against U.S. pleads not guilty, says he only bought ticket to Morocco to study Islam

Hey, he just wanted to study Islam

But he was apparently planning not to stay in Morocco, but to go on to Mauritania, where the Islam is served straight and undiluted, slavery is legal, and it's just a short trip to the hot jihad waging in Mali.

"Alabama Muslim arrested for attempting to flee to Morocco," from RT.com, December 27:

A 25-year-old resident of Mobile, Alabama says he was not trying to plot with terrorists overseas when he bought a plane ticket for him and his family to visit Morocco.
Randy Lamar “Rasheed” Wilson was denied bail over the weekend, and on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to charges of providing support to international terrorists.

Federal investigators say Wilson, who grew up in the United States, intended on meeting up with fellow Muslims in Morocco in order to plot an act of terror against the United States. His attorneys are adamant about having the charges dropped, however, since they say they are based off of testimonies provided to undercover informants and contain no proof that Wilson intended on committing an act of terror. For the meantime, though, it is likely to be an uphill battle since the government is opposed to unsealing their alleged evidence against Wilson, claiming doing such would endanger national security.

"We are going to fight this all the way," lawyer Domingo Soto told the Associated Press. "We are going to fight the detention, the indictment and the protective order."

In response to his plea, US Magistrate Judge Katherine Nelson has set a tentative trial date of March 3, but cautions that it could be a long ordeal given the unusual circumstances of the case.

"This is obviously the first one of these cases I've handled and maybe the first we've had here in this district," Nelson on Wednesday.

But it probably won't be the last.

The government says Wilson has ties to Omar Hammami, who also at one point resided near Mobile, but later moved to Somalia to join forces with alleged terrorists al-Shabab.
In Mobile on Wednesday, Wilson’s attorney said his client only wanted to take his family to Morocco so that they could study Muslim [sic] in a country where Islam is the dominant religion.

This argument could only possibly fly with those who are ignorant of Islamic teaching regarding jihad.

Of course, there is no difference between "studying Islam" and "waging Jihad" for the truly pious Muslim.

And, as noted, he was not planning on remaining in plausibly "moderate" Morocco, in any case, but was all for pushing right on to Dar-al-Jihad.

And more and more, we are seeing not just foreign-born Muslims decamping to the Muslim world whenever the Infidels catch on to their Jihad activities, but "reverts", as well.

Muslims appear to represent an intrinsic "flight risk".

I'm fine with born-Muslims and converts to Islam, previously resident within the West, deciding to up stakes and flit off to the most miserable sharia-addled jihad-wracked hell-holes of dar al Islam...Yemen, Somalia, Mali, Mauritania, Afghanistan, Libya, and now, too, Syria...

That's no problem.

Let 'em deport themselves. Some of them even do it at their own expense.

And then, once we know for sure that they're gone, we should *never* let them back in.

If our Authorities could just get their heads around the idea of a/ not importing any *more* Muslims from the dar al Islam and b/ not permitting *re-entry* to any Muslim from within our lands who has taken him or herself off to the dar al Islam (and usually they're going off to play lethal Jihad games), the number of Muslims in the Mohammedan colonies within the lands of the non-Muslims might drop off perceptibly in quite a short time.

He didn't find Islam, he didn't even go looking for Islam, Islam found *him*. When he was five.

That is: when he was *five* his mum (a divorcee) was snaffled up in a spot of 'marriage jihad' by a Mohammedan immigrant to the USA. And Muslim step-papa then made good and sure that little Randy/ 'Rashid' was thoroughly Islamised, even sending him to an Islamic school rather than letting him go to an ordinary secular school.

I wonder how many other times this sort of thing happens- a Muslim male targeting a non-Muslim woman (single mum or divorcee) who has very small and impressionable children in tow? Children who can be gotten at young and brainwashed into the cult. Children who if female can be married off to other Mohammedans, whether in the dar al Islam or in order to provide a path to citizenship for yet another Muslim infiltrator; or who if male can be groomed for Jihad.

I had to laugh when Mahound noticed a warrior who had such bad head lice they were falling in his face...Mahound asked 'Are you having problems with your head lice?

That's probably the funniest line in all Islamic literature...Mahound had a sense of humour..Mahounds suggestion that this poor man shave his head was appropriate medicine for the time...

*I* hang round in an Anglican parish church, so that's where most of my outside-of-jihadwatch conversations take place.

Right now I'm one of the lay representatives who get sent to synod by the parish (that means I get to attend diocesan synod and find out what everyone is up to) and I'm on the parish council. I'm a member of Mothers' Union, and this may - as I build up a bit of street cred - give me some opportunities to Educate. After all, MU is committed to promoting Christian monogamy, etc and so forth, which will bring us into direct collision with any Mohammedans trying to get official recognition for the 'domestic' aspects of Sharia in Australia.

Fortunately for me, there are at least three or four other fellow parishioners, male and female, who are completely in agreement with me about Islam. One of these came along with me to hear Mr Spencer speak when he visited Australia at the end of 2011. So we all do our best to educate everyone else.

I gave our priest - quite a sensible lady she is - a nice new copy of Rev Dr Mark Durie's "The Third Choice: Islam, Dhimmitude and Freedom", just before Christmas. If she reads *that*, she will learn a thing or two. I shall give her another month or so and then ask her what she thought of it. She's been to India, and loves the place, so perhaps my next move will be to give her V S Naipaul's 'India: A Wounded Civilization'.

My *next* little project is to make sure that the parish library - we have one - is stocked with all three of Durie's books. I can promote him far and wide as our in-house Aussie Anglican expert on Islam. When our Bishop visited last, I gave *him* a rave review of Durie's work.

Wish I had more time to post, but I'm retiring after 20 years in the service, and I've been extremely busy getting ready to rent my house so I can meet my wife and kids in Hawaii (they've been gone since May), and finding my next job.
