The cleric certainly eats well, or a lot...How can he know that porn corrupts unless he has seen it and got corrupted?...Has anyone ever heard a jihadi shouting 'Jenna Jameson Akbar' as they rushed into battle? By watching porn, Mahoundians get a visual idea of what goes on in Allah's Paradise, strengthening their desire to die in jihad...The cleric should be thanking Allah for this blessing called internet porn...

There are likely a lot more porn sites than he estimates. Does porn corrupt Muslims? One can hope. Then again it could just as easily turn them into guilt-ridden basket-cases just itching to press the detonator.

Pakistan is top dog in searches per-person for "horse sex" since 2004, "donkey sex" since 2007, "rape pictures" between 2004 and 2009, "rape sex" since 2004, "child sex" between 2004 and 2007 and since 2009, "animal sex" since 2004 and "dog sex" since 2005, according to Google Trends and Google Insights, features of Google that generate data based on popular search terms.

Why in those Islamic countries is there apparently a high incidence of interest in bestiality?

Maybe to do with polygamy? Polygamy means there are not enough women to go around. If one man is married to four women, that's three men with no woman available. Also, pre-marital sex is verboten. In Shia Iran, true, there are "temporary marriages" -- divinely approved prostitution. But in the Sunni Muslim world, i.e., 85% of the Muslim world, I suppose prostitution tends to be violently suppressed and therefore relatively inaccessible.

Thus you have large numbers of young (and perhaps not so young) men who cannot have pre-marital sex, cannot get married, and can't visit a prostitute. Maybe some of those men then get into a habit of substituting animals and fantasizing about them. Then when those men are doing internet searches, the bestiality habit stays with them.

If people are starving, some of them will eat just about anything.

As far as corruption and morality go, what many Muslims don't understand is that where there is no freedom, there can be no morality. If what you do is done because someone forces you to it, how can you consider yourself virtuous or moral for those actions? In an unfree society, to the extent it is unfree, human beings are just puppets, without morality or virtue. A society without any morality or virtue is just plain evil. In a free society, you have both good and evil.

Here's the report I was thinking of, from a Jihad Watch article back in 2008:

A link between terrorism plots and hardcore child pornography is becoming clear after a string of police raids in Britain and across the Continent, an investigation by The Times has discovered. Images of child abuse have been found during Scotland Yard antiterrorism swoops and in big inquiries in Italy and Spain.

Secret coded messages are being embedded into child pornographic images, and paedophile websites are being exploited as a secure way of passing information between terrorists.

The "Fort Hood 2" terrorist, who was planning an attack but was stopped in time by a civilian tip, was found to have child pornography when his place was searched by authorities. Aside from indicating that he's a pervert and therefore a good Muslim, it could also mean he is networking with other jihadists through the porn sites.

I wonder whether the authors of the "study", one "Amy Adamcyzk, associate professor of sociology at the City University of New York’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and Brittany Hayes, a doctoral candidate there" were aware of phenomena such as, inter alia, FGM, 'honor' murders, stoning-for-zina, forced 'marriage' of prepubescent / underage girls, bacha bazi, 'possessions of the right hand', and 'temporary marriages'? I wonder what would happen if they were sat down to watch Ayaan Hirsi Ali's 'Submission': which features, among other things, a girl who has been impregnated incestuously by her *uncle*, and who is expecting to be honor murdered as a result?
