Mustafa El-Amin, is a member of the Muslim outreach committee formed by Chiesa’s office in the wake of the NYPD revelations. He has gained a following for oratory that translates the teachings of the Quran into modern-day parables, relevant to his largely poor and working-class African-American congregants.

Modern-day parables, eh? With the moral "GodDAMN America!"...? No doubt, El-Amin dares not be as forth-Wright at our President's anti-American preacher; but it is also doubtless that the message is there, like the thorn in the rose, or the scorpion in the couscous.

Couldn't agree more, Robert. Nobody in my synagogue is a terrorist and nobody feels offended when people listen to our prayers and are interested in Judaism. Only those who've got things ro hide don't want to be listened to.

Unfortunately, what the FBI is doing, this close surveillance, is a creeping hint of the authoritarian statism that even Muslims in their own nations generally find necessary to manage Muslim populations. The need for relatively close State surveillance of Muslims in the U.S. is arguably just a typical example of the "natural" growth of an authoritarian state wherever Muslims are. Muslim nations usually live under either a quasi-secular fascism, or else under one degree or another of totalitarian Sharia theocracy. Islamic culture for the most part necessitates a kind of alternation between the two -- quasi-secular fascism being an offshoot of, but also a reaction to and means of suppressing sharia totalitarianism. In the close State surveillance needed for U.S. mosques, we perhaps are seeing just the very earliest beginnings of the secular authoritarian side of the Islamic social alternation just described.

However, the FBI broke no New Jersey laws. The Muslims who object to the observation are colluding (by self-deception or by deception of non-Muslims) with jihad, with jihad's intimidation of free, non-anonymous speech about Islam, and with Islam's expansionist totalitarian theocratic project. I don't think any "reformist" Muslim could reasonably object to FBI observation under the current circumstances. A need for surveillance by the State is bad news in general, but Islam makes that creeping authoritarianism tragically unavoidable. Bravo! As some people here may know, I am a vegetarian and do pet rescue. While I have some quibbles with the term, I would be considered an "animal rights" person by most yardsticks.

While this has *never* happened—most people who advocate for animals simply love animals—but if I were ever to find out someone I worked with was, say, plotting to blow up a lab or assassinate the head of Tyson Foods or something equally horrific, I would turn them in to law enforcement so fast it would make their heads spin.

I would not consider that such would "make animal rights look bad"—if I gave a thought for that at all, it would be that such terrorism *itself* would make animal rights look bad. But mostly, I just wouldn't countenance any such violence.

Of course, there have never been plots like this, so it is all pretty theoretical—unlike with Muslims living in New Jersey, who have been involved in any number of Jihad terror plots.

There is a video out and about where several muslims attending a mosque in St. Louis Missouri begin to beat themselves with hand held chains, accross their backs, continueing until the flesh is peeling and bleeding.

Now, many reading this and myself included may feel no remorse for muslims beating themselves into bloody oozing pulps, HOWEVER, the video shows many adult men coaching and enticing a 7 maybe upwards of 9 year old little boy beating himself bloody.
