Pro-Hamas lawyer for anti-free speech vandal Mona Eltahawy claims she vandalized pro-freedom ad to head off "a much more explosive response"

Eltahawy must realize she will be found guilty (and so she should), and is now trying to lie her way out. I would suggest appopriate punishment would be for her to WEAR the antijihad suway poster and walk back and force in the subway tunnel for a week.

Stanley Cohen appears to be as a lawyer as Eltahawy is to a journalist.

Her defense is in fact, no defense, legally. It's off-the-wall blathering. One would expect as much from a failed professional journalist like Eltahawy, but one would expect a lawyer to provide a defense that at least doesn't cause snickering.

Her trial will last about five minutes, then she can sit in jail for five days...

Her behavior --and now her justifications of her behavior-- prove the premise of the poster: That the jihadi response to virtually everything is savage.

Eltahawy who moved to America from Egypt in 1990 just became an American Citizen last year. She is a Muslim who argues against the Muslim Brotherhood, or at least so she says. She also argues against the treatment of women in Muslim countries.

Apparently her outrages are somewhat selective when it comes to Sharia and various Islamic Practices. No doubt she also does not understand the definition of the word "savage" as it is applied to the Islamic Worlds archaic and evil sharia practices.

The practice of jihad against the unbeliever is the focus of the adds as its main point about savage behavior that plays out across the planet everyday---It is always disturbing when you see Muslims like Eltahawy who talk out of both sides of her mouth. By the way,once again-- Muslims are not a race.

Well, at least, Muslima Eltahawy's conduct hasn't cause the BBC to abandon her as news analyst. She appeared on the BBC's World News America program less than a week age with nary a mention about her legal predicament in New York City. Uninquiring minds just don't want to know probably.

As to her "principle", my understanding of civil disobedience, which is now probably so 20th Century, if not 18th Century, is that after you do the crime, you accept the punishment that is handed down by the court. Apparently that has now been modified by an executive order less there be bumps in the wrong person's road.

Lastly, after her trial, I sure would like to see the Gucci glasses woman drag Muslima Eltahawy in front of America's premier elderly, jewish, female jurist, Judge Judy that is, for a little exercise in reverse jihyza.

Actually, this claim says even more than that. What Stanley Cohen is doing—although I doubt very much that he realizes it, the ignorant tool—is making a case for Shari'ah law, where any critics of Islam are forcibly silenced.

And they are silenced for two reasons: firstly, to save Islam from "insult". But secondly—and this is mostly tacitly understood—that if they *weren't silenced*, that pious Muslims would take it upon themselves to riot and murder—in other words, that "much more explosive response" that Cohen warns about.

Indeed, under Shari'ah, victims are not even allowed to point out how violent Islam is, lest Muslims react violently.

The idea that Muslims themselves should be held responsible for their own savagery, of course, is never considered.

I see. Call this "Homeland Security vigilantism" defense.

Her action was intended as a publicity stunt to draw more attention to the posters, thus increasing the odds that someone somewhere would become enraged by the posters. This fact would seem to defeat her (or her sophist lawyer's) post hoc line that she was trying to prevent an enraged violent response.

Indeed, Mona seemed to be intending to provoke the outrage, directing it at Pamela Geller, and to inspire others to engage in criminal acts.

A court case seems a waste of time. Miss Eltahawy has The Mighty Mythical Allah and Muhammad the Prophet of Peace in her corner.
The verdict must be not guilty. If not it will mean a good old dose of famine, pestilence and fire for the American infidels.
