Somalia: Muslims murder Christian for leaving Islam

Conversion away from Islam is forbidden on pain of death. Muhammad said: "Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him" (Bukhari 9.84.57). The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law according to all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence. Yet Muslim spokesmen such as Harris Zafar, Mustafa Akyol, Salam al-Marayati, M. Cherif Bassiouni, and Ali Eteraz (among many others) have assured us that Islam doesn't punish apostasy. I expect that Zafar, Akyol, al-Marayati, Bassiouni, and Eteraz will immediately be jetting over to Somalia to explain to Somali authorities that they are getting Islam all wrong, wrong, wrong.

NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) – Gunmen in central Somalia on Saturday (Dec. 8) killed an underground Christian who had been receiving death threats for leaving Islam, area sources said.
Two unidentified masked men shot Mursal Isse Siad, 55, outside his home in Beledweyne, 206 miles (332 kilometers) north of Mogadishu, for leaving Islam, Muslim and Christian sources told Morning Star News. The assailants fled immediately after the murder.

Siad’s oldest daughter (name withheld), 15, said her father was killed “because he failed to attend the mosque for prayers and used to pray at home. He used to share with us about Jesus.” She said that he had received messages on his mobile phone stating, “We know what you are doing, and you must stop, otherwise you risk your life.”

Siad’s 42-year-old wife (name withheld), three daughters and two sons have fled the area, fearing for their lives.

A Christian source in Mogadishu confirmed the killing, and a Muslim resident of the Beledweyne area also said Siad was killed for leaving Islam.

“Siad deserved to die because he was not committed to the Islamic religion,” the resident said....

May Mursal Isse Siad rest in peace, martyred Dec 8 2012, one more drop of blood adding ot the incessant torrent of misery brought upon mankind by islam and it's inexhaustible legion f pious muslims. muslim and murder are indelibly intertwined words lasting unto eternity.

And yet, Muslims in the West lie about this all the time. And why? Because Westerners—except for the wannabe Jihadis, of course—would be more likely to balk at joining a faith that they cannot leave.

And *nothing* can be allowed to get in the way of conversion to Islam—not wary Westerners, and not Muslim apostates in Dar-al-Islam.

Brave, brave man.

He turned from darkness to light, from falsehood to truth, and he was prepared to die rather than return into the deep darkness that he had left behind him.

Remember his name: Mursal Issa Siad. Write it down, and remember our departed brother, this Martyr and Confessor of the Church in Somalia, on All Saints' Day, and on All Souls' Day.

If you are a Christian, share his story with your fellow-parishioners and with your parish priest; be sure to explain about the apostasy law of Islam that prescribed and sacralised his death.

Indeed, not only Christians in the non-Muslim world, but *all* non-Muslims, need to understand what sharia requires to be done to anyone at all who tries to leave Islam, to break free from the Ummah or Mohammedan Mob.

The stories of people like Mursal Issa Siad, and of many others like him, need to be told over and over and over, loud and clear.

This would've been front page news on the MSM had it been Christians killing people for converting to Islam.

Islam is the greatest nightmare for anyone who wishes to live free from coercion and bullying by other humans and who desire freedom of conscience and speech.

I think it's foolhardy for anyone that lives in enemy (Islamic) territory to openly admit to leaving Islam for another religion-that's painting a bulleye's on you forehead.

The smart thing is to stay quiet about it and perhaps find like-minded people if possible and discuss ideas in secrecy or to simply leave the country.

It's become pretty clear to me that the only answer for Islam is warfare. We should be arming Coptic Christians and other minorities to defeat Islamic rule all over the world. And I mean give them no quarter-as they do with us non-muslims.

Islamic states will never peacefully transition to secular/Jeffersonian democracies. War against Islam is fine by me but still too few people want to admit that Islam is Nazism with a god.

If they love death so much, and if Paradise is assured for those who kill and are killed in the way of Allah, why did they run away?

As someone noted here a long time ago, I guess they don't really buy into that 72 virgins stuff stuff, after all.

Spot on DDA, Fitna and PRCS.The treatment of Mursal Issa Siad,the persecution of Christians in Muslim lands,"honor" killings(for what amount to apostasy,blasphemy and heresy crimes)and the situation of women in islam are the fronts to attack on.
