"France has attacked Islam": Mali Islamic supremacists vow to bring their #MyJihad campaign to France

So watch for them to be streaming into gyms all over France.

A military offensive to reclaim Mali’s north from Islamists fighters entered its fourth day on Monday, with al Qaeda linked-rebels promising attacks on French soil in retaliation to the European country’s intervention in the unstable West African country.
Malian and French soldiers, backed by heavy French military air support, pushed back rebel fighters from the central town of Konna over the weekend.

A dozen French fighter planes, including four Rafale jets, hit rebel targets in the cities of Goa and Kidal, deeper in the country’s rebel-held north. Residents of Goa said French air raids had struck bases and destroyed weapons depots.

Nevertheless, Malian soldiers continued to struggle against well-equipped rebels, who on Monday wrestled away control of the central town of Diabaly, according to French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian. “We knew that the key spots would be towards the west… where the most important fighting is going on today,” Le Drian told French BFM television.

Also on Monday, Islamists vowed to strike back at France.

"France has attacked Islam. We will strike at the heart of France," Abou Dardar, a leader of Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO), one of the Mali-based groups with ties to al Qaeda, told the AFP news agency.

Asked where attacks would take place, Dardar said: "Everywhere. In Bamako, in Africa and in Europe."...

France's Le Drian told a press conference on Saturday that France had intervened not only because the security of Mali and West Africa were in peril, but because there was also a threat to France and Europe.

Western leaders have warned that northern Mali could become a base of operation for terrorists intent on striking European and American targets. “We have been determined to act for more than six months now,” Le Drian said....

No doubt the French know what they are doing. I hope they will be able to flush the Islamists out of Mali for good.

Somehow, I doubt they will manage to do that. They haven't managed to flush them out of France yet!

But perhaps the returning French soldiers will know how to deal with the mohammedans at home, having had experience in Africa - a sort of distorted echo of the jihadis returning from Somalia, Afghanistan, etc causing problems in Europe!

We can only hope so!

And yet, what do you you want to bet that this Jihad will involve good ol' fashioned violence against the Kuffar?

Hmmm...notice that Darder perceives this not as an action aginst Malian rebels, but *against Islam". They consider themselves as purely Islamic, unlike those representing the "insufficiently Islamic" Mali government.

And why not? They've instituted Shari'ah, and are leaving children orphans because they have stoned their committed parents to death for being unmarried. What could be more Islamic than that?

There are plenty of Jihadists already in the heart of La Belle France who will be only to glad to help...

Well, this is true. But nothing is so likely to cause Jihad as Infidels trying to defend against it.

Look for Jihadists striking France in the future claim that it was because France intervened in Mali...just as you hear Jihadists in America claim that they are acting because of Afghanistan and Iraq...

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Our Great O ran promising to keep us out of conflicts like Iraq and Afghanistan, and now seems to be trying to get us into situations like Egypt, Syria, and Mali, at the behest of our deep, noble, intelligent European allies such as the Italians, Turks, and French.

Did nobody outside of JW note that the Libyan rebellion was launched in old Qaida strongholds, and that the MB were the ideologial soil from which the Jihadi movement grew? For all the wrongheadedness of the Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon administrations in SE Asia, they at least did not want the dominoes to fall; Obama seems eager to help those who'd push them over in embracing the MB as the wave of the future.

As for France, I suspect that Abou Dardar is not just a loudmouth. He'll probably find a suitable network to give France its own 9/11.
