Greeks intercept Turkish ship loaded with weapons

The ship was flying under the flag of St. Vincent and was registered as a cement bulk cargo ship. In reality, it was a Turkish ship loaded with weapons and bound for Libya, which a Greek paper speculated may have been on their way to the jihadists in Mali.

Port and customs officials were put on alert on Thursday after finding out that a cargo ship that had requested to be refueled (transit oil) at the port of Heracles (in Asteria Agrias) was carrying heavy weaponry and ammunition. Officials immediately informed the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Merchant Marine and the headquarters of the Hellenic Coast Guard. Following this, officials secured the area around the port and special forces from the Coast Guard conducted a thorough investigation.
According to a report from the Thessaly Journal, the ship "Alexandretta" -which was flying the flag of Saint Vincent- was from Turkey, and although it is registered as a cement bulk cargo ship was in all reality suspiciously transporting a huge quantity of weapons and ammunition. It said that unconfirmed reports also spoke of portable antiaircraft guns and anti-tank missiles, ammunition and infantry weapons such as Kalashnikov guns, etc.

The newspaper noted that the ship was bound for Libya, but also said that it could have been headed towards Mali (which boarders [sic] Libya) to arm Islamic rebels fighting there.

The newspaper, quoting reliable sources, said that as soon as Greek authorities were notified, they surrounded the ship, and prevented any embarking and disembarking to be conducted. For security purposes the ship was then forced to dock at the port of Volos, where it was immediately quarantined and under the watchful eye of competent authorities.

According to legislation, ships transporting weaponry -bound for countries such as Libya, Iran, Syria- are forbidden to pass through Greece. The newspaper said that the ship's capacity is 4,000 tonnes, but it did not disclose the exact weight of the cargo.

It should be reminded that Yemen authorities had discovered a similar shipment from a Turkish ship last November on the outskirts of the Anten port. The report in the Thessaly Journal noted that at the time, authorities were shocked to discover the $120 million shipment, and even more so when they uncovered that the ship was transporting 3,000 Turkish made pistols with silencers that were well hidden in biscuit boxes!

Well, I'm not particularly shocked—are you? Disgusted, yes—shocked, no.

And here is the usual Islamic subterfuge—smuggling weapons of war on a ship intended for the innocent transport of cement.

And why the weapons to Libya, one might ask, since Gadaffi is dead and gone?

I think it is pretty clear that these weapons are intended to arm the Jihad state of Mali, which is sending raids for hostages into neighboring Algeria and is now targeting the French, who are attempting to reclaim some of northern Mali for the Malian government.

Of course, pious Muslims consider any interference with the formation of a bloody Shari'ah state to be grounds for mass murder.

And more and more, Turkey's mask of "moderation" is slipping badly, under the massively increased Islamization under Erdogan.

And who is financing this adventure? We US citizens with our tax money through "financial aid" to Turkey as they are helping their "muslim brothers" who are refugees from Syria. We are feeding the enemy and we have 16 trillion debt and our administration is complicit in this. What a crazy world we live in.

This isn't complicated. Obama is a Muslim. Muslims across the board support the Sharia and the objective of the Caliph. Obama has a role to play in this commensurate with his power and influence. Obama supports the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), architects of the Caliph. Obama approves shipment of 16 F-16’s and 200 Abrahams to Egypt which is governed legally (?) by said MB. Obama sanctions transfer of Libyan stockpiles of assorted weapons from fallen Libya, through fundamentalist Turkey to take down sectarian Syria. Who is MB’s biggest target? Israel. Obama hates Israel and Jews as a function of his birth as a Muslim. Obama has 4 more years to destroy America. Real Americans need to take action. I wish I was American. Max.

Obama says he is a Christian but his name is Muslim. I have always thought it strange that a man with a name almost identical to "OSAMA" would be President of the US in less than a decade after 9/11. Is this some sort of a tasteless joke on the American people perpetrated by owners of this country?

As for support for Turkey, this is not just Obama but every US administration before had close ties with Turkey which is member of NATO. In fact, the US has long been lobbying the EU to let in Turkey as a full member of the European Union. Turkey supplying arms for the case of Jihad in Africa ties in with the West's support for the MB and the Arab Spring. Nothing strange here.

The Turkish double game is worrying. Apparently smuggling large consignments of weapons to Islamic warriors at war zones, war zones of great interest to NATO to say the least, while at the same time asking for NATO help against incursions from Syria.

There is no Turkish double game. It is all one international double game. You tell your constiutents one thing and act to accomplish the opposite.

The real truth that no one wants to acknowledge is that Fundamentalist Capitalism i.e. Fascism, that is practiced today the world over, has no problem with the Fundamentalist Fascist Idealogy of Islam, in fact it encourages it, while pretending to oppose it. The same Oil nation Sheiks that support terrorism sit down on the Boards of many American and European Corporations, some even have majority shareholdings.

Our Elites have no problem whatsover with Islam, it will do very nicely for controlling the population and ensuring that no one gets out of line whether from religious or economic dogmas. Why else would governments from the UK to Sweden and the rest of the European nations and even the US all favour appeasement and whitewashing of Islamic barbarism and support militarily the Jihadist Arab Spring movement? Because Islam gives the Ruling classes absolute power. And they love it.
