Hamas-linked CAIR refuses to explain its claim that Muslims discovered America

This is a consistent pattern: Islamic supremacist spokesmen in the U.S. regularly make unsupported claims and then refuse to back them up. The most egregious example of this is the regularly-repeated Big Lie that counter-jihadists quote the Qur’an out of context, ignore or deny its peaceful passages, and generally misrepresent Islamic teaching — the element that is lacking every time such claims are made is an interpretation of the Qur’an’s violent passages, and an explanation of their “context,” that renders them benign.

An update on this story. “CAIR chief claims Muslims discovered America first,” by Neil Munro in the Daily Caller, January 4:

Muslims discovered the Americas long before Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492, the head of a D.C.-based jihad-linked Islamic lobbying group told a Saudi TV station Dec. 27.

“There are historical accounts according to which the Muslims preceded Columbus, who is said to have discovered the U.S.,” claimed Nihad Awad, the co-founder of the Council on American Islamic Relations.

“Some documents and accounts indicate that Muslim seafarers were the first to reach the U.S., [so] the bottom line is that Islam played a part in the establishment and development of the U.S.,” Awad told the Saudi interviewer, in an interview in a New York studio.

CAIR did not respond to The Daily Caller’s request for an explanation of Awad’s comments, which were recorded by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

Awad’s group bills itself as a “civil rights” group, but five of its former employees have been jailed or deported for terror offenses, and FBI officials refuse to meet Awad because of his ties to jihadi groups, such as Hamas….

“”Islam flourishes in an atmosphere of freedom, and [it] spreads freedom, justice, and equality,” he claimed.”

Unless you’re a woman or an “unbelieving” man.

This might be an Islamic pattern:

Senior PA leader Jibril Rajoub said: “The greatest Palestinian in history since Jesus is Yasser Arafat,” and an editorial in the PA official daily referred to Arafat, Jesus and Abbas as the Palestinian “holy Trinity”:
“Jesus is a Palestinian; the self-sacrificing Yasser Arafat is a Palestinian; Mahmoud Abbas, the messenger of peace on earth, is a Palestinian. How great is this nation of the holy Trinity!”

Islam is all about identity theft and fraud. It seeks out and attempts to affix its signature to the cultural deeds of other, superior societies. It also replaces persons of renown or greatness with its own Islamic pod-person variants. As a parasitic ideology, it finds a host society and establishes itself within, inexorably taking over.

So if one wishes to dignify Awad’s claims with a rebuttal, one need only ask: Where are the Mohammedan societies in the Western hemisphere –up until the last 20 years, that is?

    Guffaw!!

I’m sure that muslims also reached the moon before Neil Armstong did as well.(sarc) And black is white and white is black…..
Is there no end to embarassing themselves with lies?

  5. says

Wow. Just like the Crusades were offensive wars and that the Islamic conquest of the caliphate was the “Golden Age,” history is being rewritten. Even if Muslims found their way to America before Columbus (which they did not), there is no record, no proof, and it had absolutely no effect. So, to make any claims now is beyond ridiculous. It is pathetic.

They sailed over in the Medina, the Sharia and the Santa Korina……to start the slave trade much earlier than anyone thought……..

“CAIR chief claims Muslims discovered America first,”

Na.. BlueRaven got there long before the lying SOB Muslims – CAIR chief.

There is no point in discussing this kind of bull parc with these idiots because they believe Mo was a prophet and Islam is the purest of the pure religion ever.

On one hand these same people claim “If it weren’t for the “Islamophobes,” we are told, Americans wouldn’t have the low opinion of Islam that surveys show they do; innocent Muslims would not be victimized; and discrimination against Muslims would be essentially non-existent. ”

And when they visit Middle-East, they are doing the bidding for our President to attract as many misfits as possible during his second term in the WH, they say “”Some documents and accounts indicate that Muslim seafarers were the first to reach the U.S.” – that is no different to a call for Jihad in Spain. If they can push through our media and there will be enough Americans who may even believe that. The obvious next step is to try to reclaim it back by force.

    Never ever trust a Muslim!

The unholy quran instructs muslims to LIE. Lying is, of course, allah approved.

  11. says

Actually, Islam did play a role in the early history of the United States: one of the seminal events in the history of the Marine Corps was their action against the Barbary Pirates.

  12. says

I wouldn’t rule out the possibility that Muslims happened upon the land now known as America. It could have happended during one of their expiditions to find the edge of the earth which even today some imams still claim is flat.

Among the many e-clippings files that I created in order to sort and store stories – and interesting comments – that I encounter here at Jihadwatch, I have one entitled ‘nonsense and lies department’.

This story – and there are many others in the collection – is in *that* file.

To paraphrase a line from Hilaire Belloc, “Mohammed told such dreadful Lies/ It made one Gasp and stretch one’s Eyes’.

And his followers have been busy doing the same, ever since.

But it isn’t just about lies as such. It’s about BS, pure BS. It’s about saying whatever they think will serve their purpose, for just long enough; like the magician’s patter, while he waves his hands about to distract the audience, and while his pretty assistant, in spangled tights (or should we say, to culturally adapt the metaphor, in bellydancing costume performing the Dance of the Seven Veils) similarly distracts).

A nice little article that discusses Mohammedan nonsense, lies and absolute brazen mind-warping BS, occasioned by the author’s encounter with another phenomenon – the Muslim claim to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

    The Arab-Muslim narrative

Op-ed: Fantasy, [and] stretching the truth very deeply embedded in mindset of Muslim and Arab culture

    Excerpt:

“A few years ago, while visiting the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, I had a very disturbing conversation with a member of the Islamic Waqf who was escorting me to make sure that I didn’t pray on the holy mountain.

“I asked him if he could tell me when the al-Aqsa mosque was built.
He looked at me with a straight face and responded that it was always there.

“I hadn’t expected that, and of course was surprised and asked again.

“I thought that maybe he didn’t understand my question and meant that the mountain was always there.

“So I asked again, and made it clear that I meant the mosque located on the southern extension of the Temple Mount that was built by Herod.

    “**(Historically, the entire platform that the al-Aqsa mosque is built on didn’t even exist during the time of the first Temple.)** {my emphasis – dda}

“It turned out that this “learned” member of the Islamic clergy, whose job is to work on the Temple Mount, actually believed that the structure of the al-Aqsa mosque was just there – from the beginning of time.

“This conversation was a great help to me in understanding the Muslim Arab mindset and culture.

“Facts are not really so important to them.

“They can be made up or even changed as needed…”.

(And *that*, I would contend, is – by the way – precisely why science as we know it in the West – and, paradoxically, real inventions that *work* – could not come into existence or flourish within the dar al Islam).

  15. says

The video to which Haivri points in which it is claimed that King David was a Muslim is interesting since that contradicts the more prominent fake historical narrative according to which the Palarabs are descendents of the Philistines. Goliath and the army of which he was champion were of course Philistines.

  16. says

Actually, besides the formation of the US Navy and Marines, Islam was responsible for another, much less admirable aspect of early US history…. Anybody remember who was the prime facilitator of the African/Arab slave trade?? And still haven’t given it up??

  17. says

Well, maybe the Vikings discovered America, and maybe the Chinese got there before Columbus (Google ‘1421 theory’ for details of that one), but I’m pretty sure the Muslims didn’t. Unless the fake prophet Mo travelled to New York on his flying devil-horse to establish the ground zero mosque ahead of time.

Personally, I think the credit should go to the people who walked there over the land bridge that used to be just south of the Bering strait, and settled both North and South America thousands of years before Mo was even a twinkle in Abdullah’s eye.

  18. says

To mention Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas and Jesus in the same sentence is ludicrous, for sure! But such is the deluded fantasy of the Palestinian leaders. Arafat was a vicious hater of Jews and Israel, and Abbas is a low – key version of the same.

It is ironic that the Jew – hating Muslims allegedly revere Jesus, the “King of the Jews”, while calling Jews the “children of apes and pigs”.

The idea that Muslims were among the earliest peoples to “discover” America is preposterous persiflage! I am surprised that Muslims have not yet claimed that Einstein stole the theories of Special and General Relativity from Muhammad!

    John,

They’ll tell you that Neil Amrstrong heard the islamic call to prayer on the moon and converted to islam. No matter how many times he refuted this over his lifetime, they continued to push it, like the liars and parasites they are…

You got it, mate, you got it. That comment of yours is a ‘keeper’ and I’m stowing it away in my files, so I can permanently enjoy it, and find it easily if I need to.

    ‘Identity theft and fraud’.

*That*’s what’s going on with the Muslim claim – made to naive Jews and Christians – that ‘we all worship the same God’*.

What’s happening is that Allah stole the Biblical God’s passport, credit card and driver’s license and went on a crime spree with them.

DDA beat me to it but one can never reap enough praise. Well said mate, very well said, and I too will be keeping a copy for future reference and quoting when appropriate.

    …what’s that?

Do you doubt I found DDA comment witty and humorous and think I am being sarcastic?
Or is it the choice of the word “giggle”?

If the former – you are wrong. If latter – consider it changed to “chuckle”. English is not my first language. Or second.
