Nice! I hope the report is accurate. I wonder how they pulled it off. Perhaps it's better we don't know (so they can perhaps do it again).

I love this - it's like when Israel bombed the Syrian reactor in Sept 2007 - the Syrians couldn't "blame the Jews" because they were so loathe to admit that it even happened. Same here with Iran. I hope they are SEETHING.....

The United States and other Western societies perfected this technology decades ago. Sixty years later and Iran just can't seem to grasp it. It's as if they put Laurel and Hardy in charge with one clownish blunder after another.
I can just see it now, a huge explosion and Ahmedinejad and Khameini emerge from the rubble with soot blackened faces. Ahmedinejad scratches his head and starts to whimper. Khameini frowns at him and says, "Mmmph, that's another fine mess you've got me into."
You hear about this sort of thing all the time, with suicide bombers accidentally blowing themselves up prematurely, muhajideens putting mortar shells into the mortars the wrong way round and idiots like Abu Hamza losing a his hands and an eye because he stupidly handled a landmine.
These idiots want to conquer the World and they may have done so by now, if they were smart enough, but in reality they're just dangerous buffoons.
Moral of the story: Muslims and technology just don't get on!

Did they get a little "help", or was this just the "mother of all work accidents"?

One thing for sure and that is whatever sets back Iran's nuclear development capacity, be it by accident, clumsiness or design, can only be looked upon by those who cherish liberty and truth as a good thing. The rest is just details, though important details to be sure since the preservation of liberty and truth often is quite dependent upon details.

The 200 workers there -- except any that were there involuntarily -- got what they had coming.

Mysterious bombs in Iran's nuclear labs and in deadly proximity to Iran's nuclear scientists, provided such covert stuff does the job well enough, is much preferable to overt bombing, never mind invasion.

Put it this way.

I hope this story's true: whether it was a highly embarrassing 'work accident' (just *how* reliable is the North Korean and Russian tech that they're using/ adapting, and in addition, just how carefully will the Iranian Muslims follow the dirty infidel instructions?) or whether it was sabotage, whether internal (a Muslim vs Muslim thing) or external.

The Russians and the Americans - with spy satellites - and surely, if the explosion was strong enough, those who possess the right kind of seismometer - ought to have *some* idea of what happened, if anything.

If something big *has* happened - be it self-inflicted, or a covert attack from outside Iran - the Iranian Muslims are hardly going to own up to it, since the shame/ humiliation factor would be huge.

And if something *has* happened and is the work of the Israelis, then *their* best option, too, is to sit still and say *nothing at all*, and let the Iranian Muslims stew, and sweat, and fret.

Short of somebody releasing clear satellite pictures and/ or seismographs with a spike in, I think we'll never know.

Has the IAEA been admitted into this particular facility? If so, when? How recently? Just for the hell of it, they should try pressing Iran to let them pay a visit, **soon**; and watch the reaction.

This is the 19th strategic Iranian installation blown up by the Israeli sabotage teams inside Iran, on top of the hits on Iranian nuclear scientists and attacks on weapons convoys. ONLY THIS IS BY FAR THE BIGGEST. Even after the great Meir Dagan resigned, the Mossad operatives continue the campaign he got them started on.
Folks, I recommend to you all the great new book "Mossad" by Michael Bar-Zohar and Nissim Mishal. In addition to having access to insider sources in Israel, and being one of the biggest authorities on Israeli intelligence, Bar-Zohar is a great storyteller, vividly recreating for us actual historical events. I have enjoyed immencely the treasure of a book "Massacre in Munich" he wrote in collaboration with Eitan Haber, describing the elimination of high-ranking Palestinian terrorists in Europe by a Mossad hit team after the murder of the 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics in 1972 by Palestinian terrorists. But this new book deals with a great number of spectacular Israeli intelligence and commando operations, including the latest daring strikes into the heart of Iran. Another new book on Mossad, "The spies against Armageddon" by Dan Raviv and Yossi Melman can nicely complement it, providing a wealth of factual information on the Israeli intelligence, but Bar-Zohar's book is something else entirely! Masterfully written, it is more exciting than any action thriller book, and all of its stories are those of actual events, exactly as they happened, and not fiction!
The book opens in 1971, with a rapid sequence of wild action, as the young Meir Dagan and his undercover elite commando squad ruthlessly eliminate a group of hard-core, high-ranking terrorists. They were part of the brilliant anti-terrorist campaign in Gaza led by the great Ariel Sharon from July 1971 to February 1972, to which I alluded in one of my posts last month. He himself tells the story in Chapter 18, "Two Terrors", of his autobiography "Warrior". The great man freely shares with the world the ingenuous methods and tactics he employed to eradicate terrorists from Gaza, and the story just kept me in a continuous "wow" state. I kept reminding myself that the terrorists who fell prey to Sharon and his men so easily were the sadistic, out-of-control murderous PFLP that had totally enslaved our cowardly United States of America and even more cowardly Europe in the 1970's. What a great travesty that the Israeli leftists such as Yossi Beilin, the Norwegian sociopaths and sociopath Clinton had ruined all of Sharon's good works in Gaza with their "peace processes", by letting the terrorists back in. By the time Sharon returned as Prime Minister in February 2001, the Bloody Oslo and the Bloody Camp David had rendered Gaza a lost cause, and Sharon had no choice but "ethnically cleanse" his own Jewish people out of Gaza, and give it up.
But back in 1971 and 1972, Sharon and his men were rapidly eradicating the terrorists out of Gaza, before our American cowards could intervene and throw a monkey wrench in what they were doing. Sharon, a farm boy who was born and raised in the land of Israel and became one with it, taught his soldiers how to read the terrain and track the terrorists down to their underground hideouts, teasingly telling them: "You are city boys who cannot tell 'etz limon (a lemon tree) from 'etz rimon (a pomegranate tree)". And he encouraged them to think for themselves, rather than to look to their commanders to tell them what to do in every situation. They maybe were city boys, but they were also Jew boys, and they picked up very quickly. And by encouraging them to come up with their own ideas and tactics, Sharon had unleashed Jewish ingenuity! And Dagan was Sharons best and most loyal student. Suddenly, all those soldiers became Sharons! This is how the terrorists' demise came about! And Dagan was more like "Sharon on steroids". Diminitive in stature, he was a dashing fighter. He fought hand-to-hand, knife, bayonet, Uzi, grenade, you name it. And he could also throw a knife with a skill you see in action movies, never missing a target. Getting back at Sharon with his own tease, one of the squads named their operation "Limon", and Dagan named his "Rimon".
Fastforward 30 years: Dagan is appointed chief of the Mossad by his old commander Sharon, now the Prime Minister. And the little dynamo Dagan introduced the same dashing style into the Israeli intelligence. He immediatelly began taking out an Islamic terrorist leader after hard-core Islamic terrorist leader: Hamas, genocidal Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, Iranian Revolutionary Guard generals, Iranian nuclear scientists ... .
Folks, this book is more thrilling than any action adventure fiction. And the most exciting thing about it is that all this had actually happened! 50, 40, 30, 10 years ago, and just last year!
And the Mossad has just written a new chapter to it!

Now if only similar things happen to Fuckistan's nuke program, everything will be just great. Best would be if a Chernobyl type accident happens in Fuckistan, and they have to deal with everything the Soviets had to deal w/ when that happened.

I guess there might be millions of dollars on offer to buy explosions inside Iranian nuclear development facilities these days -- and a fair number of Iranians willing to accept the money, too.
