Massachusetts church gives "Social Justice Award" to convicted jihad terrorist Tarek Mehanna

BOSTON — Former Sudbury resident Tarek Mehanna was granted the 36th annual Sacco & Vanzetti Social Justice Award Sunday from the Community Church of Boston for his struggle as a seeker of justice.
Following discussions on America’s history of oppressed people, Mehanna’s father, mother, brother and sister-in-law accepted the award on his behalf.

Mehanna is serving a 17-1/2 –year sentence at the Federal Correctional Complex in Terre Haute, Ind. He was convicted in 2011 on various terrorism-related charges after federal prosecutors said he traveled to Yemen to seek training in a terrorist camp in order to fight U.S. soldiers in Iraq and translated texts for terror groups.

The crowd of about 60 people at the Sunday morning service listened to a recording of Mehanna’s sentencing statement, in which he maintained his innocence, saying that although he advocates for Muslim’s right to self defense, he did not conspire to kill Americans.

Meanwhile, his family and supporters retailed some of the lurid fantasies so favored among Islamic supremacists, of a a viciously "Islamophobic" FBI and a bigoted, rogue judge desperate to railroad a man who refused to play their hateful game:

Mehanna’s father, Ahmed Mehanna, said he wrote a three-page letter to US District Judge George A. O’Toole, who handed down the sentence in Mehanna’s case.
"The judge was from the get go … had the mind to convict him," Ahmed said.

Members of the Tarek Mehanna Support Committee rallied on behalf of Mehanna, who they said is a "political prisoner and target of FBI persecution."

Congressional Director Linda Jenkins called the evidence against Mehanna "laughable" and suggested the real reason for his arrest was that he was a politically outspoken Muslim who refused to collude with the FBI....

I suspect it was a typo, and they meant "congregational director".
But it's amazing, simply amazing that such so called "educated people" could be so ignorant of Islam and its treatment of nonmuslims around the world.
This church is Unitarian Univeralist which mean that they believe in anything and every thing. According to their web site, they host gay rights groups in their building which them targets for the muslim violence that deny exists. If,God forbid Islam, ends up destroying our democracy and rights, these very liberal leaders will be among those executed first under sharia law because they believe in pantheism.

Fitting, in a disturbing way.

Sacco was quilty. He fired a bullet into the prostrate security guard killing him. Vanzetti was not there, and was selling fish from his pushcart, just like he said. Sacco could have saved his innocent friend with truthful testimony. Vanzetti could have saved hmself from execution only by spilling on Sacco and the other anarchists. He declined.

In August of 1927, after having all propaganda value rung from them by international communist movement, they were both electricuted equally dead at Charlestown State Prison.

I look on the bright side. In a way, it's encouraging to know that there are conspiracy-mongering morons everywhere, even in swanky Boston suburbs. I would hate to think that people stereotyped Middle Eastern people based on a few MEMRI clips.

Why dont we just all commit suiside as a nation so we don't have to hear these incredible stories? What is wrong with America? Why are we helping the enemy all the time, everywhere, any chance we get. America must hate itself as part of the plan by the enemy. Too late for Islam to destroy your democracy and rights. The liberal project of destruction of America had been long on its way before Islam arrival on your shores. With your reelection of president who is sworn enemy of democracy the process is almost completed. Islam had nothing to do with it.

Well, this is apt. The "social justice award" is named for a couple of violent anarchists and terrorist bombers, who may or may not have been guilty of the robbery and murder which sent them to the chair.

This is just like much of the "defense" of Sacco and Vanzetti—most of their supporters didn't care whether they were guilty or not—the bullet in the victim did come from Sacco's revolver—but they just believed that the US should not defend itself against violent anarchists and communists.

And here's the idiotic Unitarian Church, once again playing the dhimmi tools.

Previous winners of this brainless "award" have included the moronic Rachel Corrie in 2003, and vicious cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal in 2006.

In 2005 the award went to the appalling Lynne Stewart, who passed messages from her client, Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, an Egyptian cleric convicted of planning terror attacks, to his followers in al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya.

Any jihadwatchers - whether Christian or non-Christian - live in Boston, within easy travelling distance of this 'church'.

If so, just for fun, I propose the following project.

Once a month, for about six months, gird up your loins and attend a 'service' at this 'church'.

Try not to get into arguments with anybody, but just sus the place out, being very polite.

At the end of the six months, 'plant' in the parish library or bookshelf - they probably have one somewhere - copies of Mark Durie's "Revelation? Do We Worship the Same God? Jesus, God, Holy Spirit in Christianity and Islam" and "The Third Choice: Islam, Dhimmitude and Freedom". Neither of these books is polemical in tone - they are easy to read, flatly factual and scholarly 'just the facts, ma'am', but anyone with two functioning brain cells to rub together cannot read them and avoid noticing that Islam straight up is damned ugly...and also damned sneaky.

Equally useful are the glossy, brief, nicely-got-up information 'basic backgrounder' pamphlets that one can obtain from The Barnabas Fund. I don't know whether they're all in print or not at the moment, but ideally you need all of them - 'What is Islam?', 'What is Shari'a?', 'Islam and Truth', 'Islam and Slavery', and a new one, aimed specifically at Christians, which has the innocently-inquiring title 'Is the Muslim Isa the Biblical Jesus?' (Answer, of course, is a resounding NO). Get *those* - several of each, they are dirt cheap but the ones I've seen are the one on Truth and the one on Sharia and if all of them are like that, then the tone is non-polemical but at the same time brutally, flatly factual and the underlying research is rock-solid. Contact the Barnabas Fund people and ask them to reprint the lot, in bulk.

'Plant' these in the bookshelf/ 'literature' shelf (lots of churches have a 'free informational literature' stand somewhere near the entrance, for parishioners and visitors, this is where missionary newsletters are usually found), a couple at a time, and see how long it takes for them to grow legs and walk away...

Before you leave - having explained that you were just checking them out (lots of folks 'church hop' in the modern world, before they decide where to permanently pew-park, so this is nothing unusual) - give the person in charge a goodbye present: the two Durie books aforementioned, and the full set of Barnabas Fund pamphlets.

And then they will not be able to say that they were not warned.

Unitarians weren't always this stupid about Islam.

James Freeman Clarke was a Unitarian, but in his book 'Ten Great Religions', published in the late 19th century, the eleventh chapter, which deals with 'Mohammad and Islam', is grimly realistic.

Above, I suggested 'planting' copies of Durie's books - and the Barnabas Fund booklets - on Islam, in the bookshelf of this unitarian 'Community Church of Boston'.

It might be even more fun to mention James Freeman Clarke to them, and then print off, from the internet (Project Gutenberg have digitised his book and placed it online) the whole of his erudite, beautifully- written - and simply *devastating* - chapter on 'Mohammed and Islam', put it in a nice plain binder, title it, 'James Freeman Clarke, Unitarian and Abolitionist, on "Mohammed and Islam"', and plant *that* on the Boston Community Church parish bookshelf.
