Here is my appearance on Michael Coren's Sun TV show for January 1.
Robert Spencer and Michael Coren: Is life improving in Islamic societies?
As usual, some excellent points, particularly about the change in confidence of the West vis-a-vis Islam, but I noticed that Michael chose to have a dig at atheists again.
We must be more careful about such generalised attacks on humanists (or atheists). In my experience it is not the case that they are unaware of the horrors of Islam. People like Douglas Murray in the UK and Sam Harris in the US have made it abundantly clear that they consider Islam to be currently, the most dangerous force facing the West. Murray hardly ever mentions Christianity and Harris regularly comments that muslim leaders have "no understanding of what constitutes civil society". Richard Dawkins rarely debates with Christians nowadays and chooses to take on muslim journalists and leaders instead. His most recent was shown on the hostile environment of Al Jazeera TV.
I would go further and suggest that there are many religious commentators who prefer Islam to Humanism on the grounds that, "at least muslims believe in God". Melanie Phillips has even written a book identifying 'lack of religion' as responsible for the West's problems. She failed to realise that jihadists are religious; devoutly so. She regularly attacks Dawkins for being an atheist, when this logic leads to the conclusion she would prefer him to be an islamist. If you say that belief in a supernatural being is better than non belief, then you could quite easily argue that choosing Allah rather than none at all is a good thing.
A Jewish/Christian/Humanist alliance would make a powerful group. This should be welcomed not shunned.
I'm an atheist, but I'm not one of the 'idiot atheists' Michael Coren refers to. Thanks to Jihad Watch, I'm much more savvy about Islam's core agenda, violent Jihad, than I would otherwise be.
And yes, there are idiot atheists of the liberal left who are atheists because it's cool. Sneering at Christians and Christianity is part of their act, but you'll notice that they're well disposed to Islam, Buddhism or even Cargo Cults. That's because these belief systems fit their so-called multicultural world view.
A genuinely kosher atheist would hold *all* religious belief to be daft.
So, what would atheists the world over lose if a world Caliphate came into being? Their lives, of course. Islam has got me in its crosshairs simply because I don't believe in Allah or God.
Christianity, doesn't, Buddhism doesn't, Cargo Cults don't! Just insane, savage Islam.
So, it makes sense to fight Islam. My life is at stake! And so is yours!
I agree with you 100%. I too am an Atheist!! that said most religious people think that athiets do not have any conscience which is a bunch of BS.. That said, beisdes Islam the other religions do not want to kill me so I fight Islam as that is hell bent to destroy humanity.

Robert Spencer and Michael Coren: Is life improving in Islamic societies?
...........................
With virtually every part of the Muslim world increasingly Islamizing—from Indonesia to Iraq to Turkey to Mali, I believe we can categorically say "No".
I fully agree that there is a difference between (the teaching of) Islam and Muslims as individuals.
However, grwing up in the Middle East has taught me that, at least, Arab Muslims are highly incitebale and it does not take much for a "moderate" Muslim to turn against you when he/she is part of a mob. Nearly every Israeli know the meaning of the Arabic word "aleihum" (go and get them).
I lost count of how many Arab "trusted" workers murdered their own Jewish employers, just because they could, it goes back to to the begining of the 20th century, long before the term "Palestinians" was invented.
It is a pitty that 99% of Muslims give the rest of them a bad name.
I am pleased to see that other atheists here feel like me. I am not averse to religions, none of which threaten to break my leg or pick my pocket EXCEPT ONE, although I cannot subscribe to one, as I can not believe in disembodied spirits. That does not make me a homosexual or wanting to ban Christmas or nativity displays, which I rather enjoy as part of my culture. Please stop this intolerance of atheists, Messrs. Coren and Spencer, you have enough enemies already without inventing more, and anyway, we are going to need each other. You are putting yourselves in the same boat as the message board simpletons that insist that I must be an extreme Christian when I write some truth about Islam. It is all rather tiresome.
