Thanks, CGW. Most kind. As for running for office, well, I'm neither a follower nor a leader but rather a watcher. That's why I teach. But who knows? Maybe someday. Hope you're doing well.

The odd thing is, that if I were to describe myself, that's what I would say, also.

Awhile ago, I remember hesperado/ lemonlime wondering what on earth it was that enabled the average jihadwatcher to 'get' what Islam was - and that it was dangerous - so much sooner than most other Infidels.

Maybe that quality of mind or temperament that you have just described, is part of it.

Well, dda, from one fellow watcher to another, I wish you the best as always and, oh yeah, much good watching to you in the future. We watchers, as you know, also play an important role from time to time, though still not as important as good or bad leaders, or good or bad followers. We arguably come in third, but bronze medal recipients in the realm of human existence still have an importance that should not be despised and certainly not ignored. History, in fact, is replete with leaders and followers who have dismissed watchers at their own peril.

I write this to you, my friend, on the 102nd anniversary of Ronald Reagan's birth. He was far smarter than many lesser folks thought he was and, like Lincoln, Washington and Churchill, he was possessed of a moral genius of a very high order, moral genius being even rarer than your standard intellectual type genius. Sad to say, such genius is very hard to find these days. The world now needs such a genius more than ever to effectively describe Islam for what it truly is----another Evil Empire, in the case of this religion one of long duration and a faith which pulls mankind down rather than lifting it up, though it hides behind a smokescreen of something which is purportedly enlightened. A greater lie would be hard to find.

Though not religious as you know, I would vigorously argue, as I have argued many times here at JW, that Christianity and Judaism are religious interpretations of existence, as opposed to philosophical and scientific explanations of the cosmos, which definitely lift man up and appeal regularly, in Lincolnesque fashion, to the better angels of our nature, and not the other way around (as Islam does). I respect both religions a lot.
