Aah, the Arab Spring. How the foolish World cheered to see the oppressed people shaking off the shackles of dictatorship and embracing the liberty and peace that democracy would bring.

Where are the supporters now? Where are the liberals? Are they still cheering on the Arab spring? Have they not admitted that they were wrong, and people like us were right?
Well, not quite. They're still cheering the Arab Spring but in quieter voices, only raising their cheers when Syria is mentioned. After all Syria's spring is still springing and unlike Mubarak and Ghadaffi, Assad hasn't gone yet. What do these idiots think is going to appear when he does go? Red roses, and unicorns, I expect.
Egypt, Libya and Tunisia, were shit-holes before but are even bigger shit-holes now!

Even if, against all odds, these protesters were to somehow succeed at ousting Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood, what or who would realistically replace these Sharia striving Islamists? Another group of Salafists who are just as eager to experience the earthly paradise of Sharia? Who really thinks that a considerable bulk of Egyptian Mohammedans are willing to settle for 'Islam lite'? Highly unlikely. The nature and doctrines of Islam always gravitate to Muslims wanting and demanding more and more Islam. And what does more Islam mean. It means Sharia. And what is Sharia? Simply the product of devout and learned Islamic scholars earnestly pouring over Islam's canonical texts - The Qur'an, hadith and sira.

Islam's canonical texts state that Islam is a perfect religion (Qur'an, 5:3), and that Muhammad's behaviour is an "excellent pattern of conduct" for Muslims to follow (Qur'an,33:21). In light of all this, people, most especially the Muslims themselves, are going to eventually have to accept the fact that Islam must be wholly abandoned. All other schemes are delusion.

We ex-Muslims living with Islam's formal and informal death penalty for apostasy know that the cruel, über violent cult of Mohammedanism is a despicable fraud.

And speaking as an ex-Muslim, what I find most odd about Islam's non-Muslim supporters is that they seem incapable of making the leap of logic to grasp the fact that when non-Muslims support and/or defend Islam, they are supporting and/or defending the following:

Islam is no “religion of peace.” Islam is primarily a religion of “injustice, intolerance, hatred, and violence.” The fact is, if we non-Muslims were to say about Muslims what the Qur'an says about us, we would be arrested for hate speech. The Qur'an largely preaches discrimination, death, and imposition of its dogma on everyone. Certainly some Muslims will be offended by such statements, but frankly, so what? Surprise, surprise, surprise. And, exactly how did they think the Muslim Brotherhood would rule? With freedom & openess? The Egyptians were duped into voting for a tiger that very predictably showed their stripes & fangs once in office. The only people on the planet who seem to be surprised by this duping are the Egyptians. I wish them well as they attempt to reclaim what they earned through blood, sweat & tears and then quickly gave away just months ago - "their freedom". Good luck with that! Giving it away is painless. Getting it back = not so much.
