In a disheartening signal to world powers at upcoming Iran talks, Tehran has started installing high-tech machines at its main uranium enrichment site that are capable of accelerating production of reactor fuel and — with further upgrading — the core of nuclear warheads, diplomats said Wednesday.
Iran already announced last week that it had begun mounting the new enriching centrifuges, but one diplomat said at the time that the announcement was premature with only a "small number" on site and not yet installed.

Diplomats told The Associated Press on Wednesday, however, that installation was now well on its way, with inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency seeing close to 100 or more machines mounted when they toured the site a few days ago. Depending on experts' estimates, the new-generation centrifuges can enrich uranium three to five times faster than Iran's present working model.

The Islamic Republic insists it is not working on a nuclear weapons program, but rather is enriching uranium only to make reactor fuel and for scientific and medical purposes — as allowed by international law.

But many nations are suspicious because Iran went underground after failing to get international help for its uranium enrichment program in the 1980s, working secretly until its activities were revealed a decade ago. More recent proposals for international shipments of reactor fuel in exchange for Iranian enrichment concessions have foundered, with each side blaming the other.

Shrugging off demands to mothball enrichment — and growing international sanctions — Iran has instead vastly expanded the program to where experts say it already has enough enriched uranium for several weapons if the material is further enriched.

The start of the centrifuge upgrade at Natanz, Iran's main enrichment site southeast of Tehran, flies in the face of world-power efforts to induce Iran to scale back on enrichment. As such, it is likely to hurt chances of progress at Feb. 26 talks in Kazakhstan between the two sides — adding to a string of negotiating failures....

The Iranian Shia are Islamomaniacs alright, but unfortunately for the non-Islamic world, Sunni Islam is no better. Both follow the same 3 revolting collections of writing. Namely, the Qur'an, hadith and sira.

Many moderate Muslims (a misnomer if ever there was one) admit that Sharia law is a draconian nightmare belonging to savage age that should never be revisited by modern man.

But the problem is that the nature and doctrines of Islam always gravitate to Muslims wanting and demanding more and more Islam. And what does more Islam mean? It means Sharia. And what is Sharia? Simply the product of devout and learned Islamic scholars earnestly pouring over Islam's canonical texts - The Qur'an, hadith and sira.

We ex-Muslims living with Islam's formal and informal death penalty for apostasy know that the cruel, über violent cult of Mohammedanism is a despicable fraud.

The largest part of the Islamic texts (the Qur'an, hadith and sira) relate to the treatment of unbelievers, kafirs. Approximately 67% of the Qur'an written in Mecca is about the unbelievers, or politics. Of the Qur'an of Medina, 51% is devoted to the unbelievers.

Mohammed preached his religion for 13 years and garnered only 150 followers. But when he turned to politics and war, in 10 years time he became the first ruler of Arabia by averaging an event of violence every 7 weeks for 9 years. His success did not come as a religious leader, but as a political leader.

Political Islam asks: What is the real jihad? The jihad of inner spiritual struggle, or the jihad of war?

Statistical analysis of the Bukhari hadith (considered by Muslims to be the most authentic of the hadith collections) show that Muhammad repeatedly speaks of jihad. In Bukhari, 97% of the jihad references are about war, and 3% are about the inner struggle. So the statistical answer is that jihad is 97% war and 3% inner struggle.

There are 146 references to Hell in the Qur'an. Only 6% of those in Hell are there for moral failings — murder, theft, etc. The other 94% of the reasons for being in Hell are for the intellectual sin of disagreeing with Mohammed, a political crime.

Islam is no “the religion of peace”. Islam is primarily a religion of “injustice, intolerance, hatred, and violence.” The fact is, if we non-Muslims were to say about Muslims what the Qur'an says about us, we would be arrested for hate speech. The Qur'an largely preaches discrimination, death, and imposition of its dogma on everyone. Certainly some Muslims will be offended by such statements, but frankly, so what? Judaism and Christianity, the world’s two other major monotheistic religions, have had to face the harshest of scrutiny and criticism for several hundred years which continues to this day. Islam must not be granted any special privileges or be exempt from such treatment – the implications are of tremendous importance.

We don't have to worry, they don't have the containers to put them in says Biden. Of course he didn't know the American embassy in Libya was being attacked but this he knows and he also knows that North Korea and Chinese and Russians won't give them containers just in case they don't have them.

Has anyone else noticed that the Iranians aren't even much bothering to trot this canard out anymore? I think they've decided that the free world is pretty much a paper tiger, and that they can do as they please regardless.
