Karzai orders US forces out of Afghan province, accuses them of fuelling “insecurity and instability”

This is our friend and ally, for whom we have poured out blood and treasure. "Karzai orders US forces out of Afghan province," from AFP, February 24 (thanks to Charles):

KABUL: Afghan President Hamid Karzai demanded Sunday the withdrawal of US special forces from Wardak within two weeks, accusing them of fuelling “insecurity and instability” in the volatile province neighbouring the capital Kabul.

“In today’s national security council meeting… President Karzai ordered the ministry of defence to kick out the US special forces from Wardak province within two weeks,” said presidential spokesman Aimal Faizi.

“The US special forces and illegal armed groups created by them are causing insecurity, instability, and harass local people in this province,” he told a press conference....

Time to send more of my tax dollars to our "old friend".

What a sahme after all of those brave soldiers of ours died in that rat hole. But I agree get all of our troops from there ASAP.

Don't you know? he's pulling a Najibullah

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad_Najibullah#Without_the_Soviets

He knows he's gonna get his pee-pee cut by good, devout Muslims -like it happened to Najibullah- when the U.S. finally leaves, so he's trying, unsuccessfully, to prevent that by acting like a tough guy against the U.S. He's gonna get his wee-wee cut anyway

Karzai orders US forces out of Afghan province, accuses them of fuelling “insecurity and instability”
..........................

What a clown this guy is. Our continued presence is the only reason that the Taliban haven't retaken Afghanistan, stringing Karzai up as they did his predecessor.

Also—and this is *never* mentioned—why is he still in office, in any case? Afghanistan is supposed to be a democracy—on paper, at least—and yet, over eleven years later, he is still "president"...

More:

“The US special forces and illegal armed groups created by them are causing insecurity, instability, and harass local people in this province,” he told a press conference....
..........................

Ah...right. No mention that this is an ongoing hotbed of Taliban activity. Here are just a handful of stories from recent years:

From 2011:

"Taliban Shot Down NATO Copter In Wardak AFG Killing 31 US Navy Seals"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hjgCnMKT3Q

"Afghan Taliban Fighters Enter Allegedly Liberated Base in Wardak"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQMpzFD2R4M

And this, from 2009:

"Firefight with the Taliban in Wardak, Chak Valley, Afghanistan"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqV_hllCSsI

There are *hundreds* more stories.

Karzai, who is playing footsie with the Taliban in "peace talks", and who has provocatively taunted the Americans by saying that his is thinking of joining the Taliban himself, is playing a dangerous game. This really won't get him any "cred" with the "Mujahedeen", who will just regard him as "insufficiently Islamic" in any case—and we know how fatal that is in Dar-al-Islam...

They also accused the soldiers of torture and murder of innocent people...Sounds like a Paliwood plot...Maybe it's time to stop bringing
democracy to people who don't want it...and get out...Instead the Rasool O administration is going to extend the troops deployment there for a hundred years or more...

Ben Kingsley, as Hamid Karzai, has gone beyond the role. Damn those actors who ad lib! I'm all for cancelling Afghanistan: the Series, now!

The only real reason for going into Afghanistan was to kill Osama bin Laden. Our troops had him in their sights, but the final part of the job was given to Afghan fighters of the Northern Alliance, in an effort to prop them up as real allies. They blew it, of course. The US special forces under Obama, not under Bush, went into Pakistan, at great risk, to get him.

Actually, the main planning and organization for 9/11 was done in Hamburg Germany. Only the authorizations were made in Afghanistan. What happens in Afghanistan itself is totally immaterial to the real interests of the US.

There is no real reason to remain in Afghanistan. It's true the women will be marginally more repressed once the Taliban take over, and the Muslims will continue to torture other Muslims over obscure arguments in Islamic doctrine. None of that concerns the US in the least.

The main tragedy from Afghanistan, other than the lives of the US soldiers lost in Bush's adventure, is that the US will feel an obligation to allow it's Afghan "allies" to enter the US, knowing they will be killed by the Taliban. These Muslims will still be Muslims, and will fully participate in the political pressures in the US to accept Islam and the advance of Islamic observances.

the Americans are leaving, the taliban are staying

Karzai wants to live a little longer

really, what do you expect?

Any fully accurate assessment of Karzai will be impeded proportionately to the extent that Islam is still considered something good. See Islam in its entirety for the spiritual fascism and liberty-crushing belief system that it is and Karzai's proper worth to those who cherish freedom will be immediately and unambiguously calculated.

Oh yeah, free societies, which Islam has no use for nor understands, might still use the bastard Karzai for this or that reason, but it would be done with NO illusions. Always better to function with no illusions when dealing with a bastard or even when dealing with someone not a bastard, but more especially when dealing with a bastard---like Karzai.

Let's see. Words like "Realpolitik" and "Machiavellian" come to mind here. Not words that should be ignored I would argue.

To a Muslim, there is only Islam.

Karzai's been smoking some of the Taliban's fund raising exports!

Clown!

Ok guys, it's time to move on!

Karzai wants the US military to move out to make room for this:
BBC News Feb 25, 2013 Afghan police accused of corruption and child abuse.

"He's gonna get his wee-wee cut anyway"

No he won't. He will be in America, or Europe before the Taliban overtake. He even may buy a brand new Boeing 747 for the purpose. Thanks to American tax payers dollars.

"The only real reason for going into Afghanistan was to kill Osama bin Laden."

Of course not. The reason was to destroy the entire al-Qaeda organization in Afghanistan. This was largely successful by the end of 2001.

"Actually, the main planning and organization for 9/11 was done in Hamburg Germany. Only the authorizations were made in Afghanistan."

That is a distinction without a difference. If the planning for the Pearl Harbor attack was made at Kure Naval Base but "only" the authorizations were made in Tokyo, would Tokyo therefore not be a target? Of course not.

==================================

The main problems we have came from Secretary of State Colin Powell's dictum "If you break it you own it". While in a sense this is true, it has limited applicability to Afghanistan and Iraq because they were already broken, and will remain broken after we leave. They are broken because their majority culture is orthodox Islam.

Shocking !

Anyone who thinks Afghanis are friends & will thank you is a fool !

Time to pull out of the war zone & let them kill each other if they must !

Let the back stabbers fend for themselves ! Have we reallt saved any lives ???
Look at every back ward Muslim country embroiled in war killing each other ! We have only added to the misery here !
I had no problem with fighting in these countries but don't hand on. They will only bite you when you aren't looking !

Islam has no real intellectual support, check out:

All our blood and treasure -- wasted for nothing!

It's over. Leave.

those bastatrds got some .....

I second the motion! It's truly a shame that so many of our brave soldiers, as well as how many billions of our tax dollars, were wasted in this particular a**hole of the world.

But taanstafl is right: "to a muslim there is only Islam." Despite so many saying that the soldiers there "have not died in vain", I would have to disagree. The U.S has been batting a big, fat ZERO in "nation-building" long before Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq.

I'm for sending our troops in harm's way ONLY when the reason is VITAL for national security, not for some dome-head politician's view of "making the world safe for democracy". Since when was that idiotic idea ever a part of our Constitution?

As I recall, our Founding Fathers expressly warned those who would follow them in leading this nation to "avoid foreign entanglements" and treaties that would force us to engage in endless foreign wars.

Doesn't anyone find it more than a little troublesome that as president after president has campaigned for office with promises of "balancing" our budget, we keep spending more and more in foreign aid and endless wars that are never declared "wars", while our deficit spending keeps climbing off the graph?

All of us ought hang our heads in shame for getting sucked in by Islam. Only Islam wins when outsiders, esp. those with the most booty,ie,Americans, allow themselves to be drawn into their conflicts. Wake up now! Stop all immigration into our beloved democracies now!Ship all troublemakers back now! Quarantine all of Islam now! Before it's too late...

All non-Muslim troops out of Afghanistan, great idea. I'll second that for the Aussies. We do *not* need to waste even one more of our precious, beautiful young men in that sharia-crazed jihad-wracked hell-pit, which is sufficiently described by Sir Winston Churchill in the chapter 'The Theatre of War', from his early book 'The Story of the Malakand Field Force'. That's the chapter, and the book, in which he sums up Islam as 'the religion of blood and war'. Or, even more succinctly, by that brilliant Irishman, Conor Cruise O'Brien, way back in 1992:

‘There are places where a lot of men prefer war, and the looting and raping and domineering that go with it, to any sort of peacetime occupation. One such place is Afghanistan. “ (And not only Islamic Afghanistan but, to be blunt, any part of the accursed and blighted dar al Islam).

And...once all the non-Muslims have departed Afghanistan, taking with them every last weapon and other valuable item that we brought with us, then...let's require reciprocity; there should be *no* Muslim troops, and their camp-followers, permitted to enter or to remain within the lands of the non-Muslims.

That means: once we have left Afghanistan, we permit *no* Afghan Muslim to enter any of our lands.

If we are not wanted in their lands, then *they* shall be served notice that they are persona non grata in *ours*.

No more citizenships or residencies will be granted to Afghan Muslims - and that could be extended to other kinds of Muslims. No more 'tourists' or 'students' or 'businessmen'.

Those who are behaving like an occupying army, in many parts of the dar al Harb, the lands of the free, could be required to leave, even as the Infidels depart from the lands of the Muslims.

For example: ALL of those many Afghan Muslim males of military age who have poured into Greece, for example, or into Australia, or anywhere else non-Muslim, shall - as Soldiers of Allah - be required to Return to Sender. If Shiite, they can go to Iran. If Sunni, there are many countries to which they can go, besides Afghanistan, if they complain of being 'refugees'.

Strict reciprocity.

*Our* troops out of their lands; and *their* troops, with all their baggage train and camp followers and armchair generals/ gang bosses aka 'imams' and 'sheikhs' and 'muftis' and "Islamic scholars", etc., out of *ours*. And shut down their military forward bases/ safe houses/ arsenals/ magazines/bomb-and-weapons-factories/ recruitment-and-incitement centres, aka 'mosques' and 'Islamic centres' and 'islamic schools'.

DDA

Fully agree w/ this. Pull all non-Muslim troops out of Afghanistan, and lets see how long Karzai lasts. In 2001, he was saved from the Taliban by US troops - a detail he's conveniently forgotten. Withdrawal would be a good way to remind him.

Also, pulling out completely is good. Next time any jihadi attack is traced back to Afghanistan/Pakistan (I actually now consider them ONE country, not two, and I've always thought of Pakistan as being more of an Afghanistan than an India), send a few nukes their way. They want nukes, give it to them - airborne. Drop it on a few selected places, like Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Kandahar, Kabul, Herat, Ghazni, et al, and that will quieten them. Of course, this could only happen in an US once the cult of Obama comes to an end.
