That some jihadists might imagine abandoning jihad if they could find the women they desired is not far fetched. Muhammad or his inventor thought 72 virgins would be a big motivation for jihad. It follows that some jihadists, if they find the women of their dreams, might abandon jihad.

Of course, that doesn't mean that jihad is a hijacking of the "true" Islam and is nothing more than a result of the sexual exclusion of "disadvantaged" Muslim males. On the contrary. Violent jihad pervades the core Islamic texts.

Uh...right. How many people have felt lonely or socially inadequate at one time or another in their lives? Doesn't this pretty much describe over 90% of teenagers, for instance? But pious Muslims don't start a band, write poetry, or work on building a good set of biceps like a normal Infidel kid...

The BBC this morning reminded us that there are just a tiny, tiny minority of Muslims that go astray - which is very reassuring if it were true. The facts are that many young Muslim men have been going to Afghanistan and Pakistan for radicalisation with the families knowledge. No one went to the police with a concern that these men had gone to a jihadi training camp. The dhimini police say that they have to do more to strengthen community relations and earn their trust. If the police were doing their job, family members would also be charged with conspiracy as well as members of the mosques which these men attended. To continue accepting Muslim excuses that they didn't know what these men were up to is not to understand the problem or the tenets of Islam that sanction the murder and deceiving of non-believers.

It's a mystery how three nice looking boys could harbor such murderous feelings...I wonder where they got those wild ideas?
